Rate this book
Part One Bently Lawrence, the youngest of three sisters is addicted to the hustle and in love with the head of The Fam, Tazmen Fields. Stepping into place as King, Taz runs the streets with an iron fist and with Bently by his side their empire swells. She’s sassy and sexy, but quick on her feet and proves to be just as ruthless as the man by her side. When “The Tasmanian Devil” is murdered mercilessly on social media for the world to see, she steps into place as the self-proclaimed Queen of The Fam. As Queen, she reigns as an unstoppable force until she meets the immovable object, the streets affectionately call King Yafi. Yafi Fields returns home from prison with one thing on his mind, getting revenge for his brother’s death until he lays eyes on the beautiful, but calloused Bently. Believing the King should protect the Queen at all costs, he pushes his pride aside and assists Bently as not only her right hand in the streets, but in finding his brother’s killer. But working side by side quickly proves they have more in common than either one of them cares to admit. Will they be able to keep the sparks from flying as they comb through the Queen city in search of Taz’s killer? Part Two Sisters, Jaycen, Michal, and Bently find themselves at a crossroads when it comes to the men in their lives. Jaycen, who has been in the same dead-end relationship since she was fourteen years old, is now a grown woman and realizes she deserves more than Javier will ever give her. After meeting retired hustler turned entrepreneur, Shareef; Jaycen is no longer concerned with Javier’s lying, cheating, and manipulating ways. Will Jaycen be able to escape her disheartening past with her vindictive baby daddy or will she remain chained to the anguish of her past? Michal met Denim when he was at the lowest point of his life. Her job was to rehab his broken body, but she also helped mend his broken heart. Now, a marriage, a new vibrant career and two years later, they are insecure in who they have become. Both heartbroken, embarrassed, but still running over with pride, they struggle to find a common ground. Will Michal and Denim be able to forgive and forget or will their foundation crumble and fade away? Bently is a movement by herself, but quickly learns she’s a force with Yafi at her side. Much to her displeasure Yafi’s blind loyalty to his brother motivates him to put their budding relationship on ice. As the new King and Queen close in on Taz’s killer they quickly learn the streets don’t have love for nobody. Somehow while ducking and dodging bullets, outwitting deadly adversaries, and uncovering shocking secrets a passionate fire ignites. Will Bently and Yafi be able to defend their territory and keep the fire between them ablaze? Part Three The return of the devil has Bently both shocked and pissed. She’s stuck reliving the events leading up to his death causing her to unravel. Her relationships with her sisters begin to suffer just when Jaycen needs her the most. Angry that Jaycen is finally done with him, Javier kidnaps their kids leaving Jaycen both heartbroken and devastated by his actions. Jaycen feels lost and retreats into herself leaving her relationship with Shareef hanging by a thread. Will Jaycen be able to finally break free and give herself to Shareef or will she put him out of his misery and sever all ties? Michal and Denim are struggling to be what the other needs as shocking revelations from them both add more pressure to their already failing relationship. Can Denim and Michal put their rocky past behind them and focus on their future or will they agree to disagree and call it quits once and for all? Yafi struggles to keep the snakes at bay while also keeping the Queen protected.

Good read

Although the series was really good to read, I felt a little unfinished. I want to know how the kids feel about their dads being dead. Michael and denim I want to know more about their story.
