4 stars!

This story was so much more intense than the previous books in this series--more so than I'm used to with a Candace Ayers novel. It felt like there was more at stake, especially for Mac as his family life experiences such turmoil. Overall, there was plenty of drama and angst and heartbreak for Mac and Mel, but the HEA was a bittersweet goodbye to this series

Tropes: reverse age-gap, fated mates, mild OM drama, reluctant mates, firefighter hero

Will both of their hearts break when Mel leaves?

Craved Mate is the sixth book in the Cybermates series, but reads well as a stand alone. Mel is taking some much needed vacation time, but is completely unprepared for her reaction to the firefighter that saves her from a tree. Mac knows immediately that Mel is his mate, but is determined to let her go. When Mel’s time is up on the island, will both of their hearts break in the process?

Oh, this book is so sweet and really hit all of the feels! I loved that I could giggle at scenes in the book, but still feel my heartstrings pull, especially towards the end of the book. Mel and Mac made an amazing team, when they were willing to work together, but both had a couple of things to work through - like realize what’s truly important in their lives. Mel had a soft heart and you couldn’t help but cheer for her happiness, especially learning about her ex. Mac had good reasons to push his mate away, but I loved some of his self-realizations he had to face during this book. I liked the drama in this book, the connections between the characters, the chemistry between Mac and Mel, and I loved Ame! I thought this was one of the best additions to this series and I’m so excited for more!

Loved this onev

Brilliant another great read of the series. Melody was leaving earlier than her band as she needs a few days of vacation much to the annoyance of her boyfriend. Melody didn’t expect to get stuck in a tree then to rescued by a very hot fireman who she felt a pull to.
Mac never expected to find his mate up a tree that she was stuck on but she was human and with seeing his sister struggle while her human mate Warren battled cancer and he was scared he wouldn’t survive if anything happened to his mate. Mac also had been caring for his grand niece Ame as his niece Jenny didn’t want anything to do with her daughter. Mac ends up rescuing Melody twice and both times he ran but now he was suffering with the loss of her.
Melody left after her gig had finished after the wedding and went back home but was finding it hard the hole in her chest getting larger not smaller then Mac turned up. Mac explained why he ran he was scared but he was her other heart he also brought Ame with him he was adopting her as his niece signed over all parental rights to him. Mac proposed to Melody but then telling her they where a package deal Melody never thought she would get married and also a family she loved Ame as if she where her own.

Craved Mate is the sixth book in Candace Ayers’ new Cybermates series. It is a paranormal shifter romance that is written in first, from the point of views of both the hero and heroine. This is a quick, fun read, with great characters, a happily ever after and no cliff hangers.

Hamish MacGregor was a wolf shifter who had moved to Sunkissed Key to help his sister with her ill mate. He wasn’t expecting to find his mate stranded up a tree. Or for her to be a fragile human. Melody Manes was over forty, childless and never married, but the moment she met Mac she forgot all about her current, worthless boyfriend and was inexplicably drawn to him. But there are obstacles that stand in their way. I love Mac and Mel together, they are a sweet couple, although I think it took Mac too long to dig his head out of his backside.

Cybermates, is a spin-off of Ayers’ P.O.L.A.R. series and many of that series’ characters make an appearance in this series allowing the readers to catchup on their lives. Loved it!

Melody and her brother, cousin and best friend have a band and sing at weddings. She used to be a famous singer until she opted to quit. Instead, she had visions of a family, house and children. Now, at 41 she has been with Adam for one year who wants to move things forward but she is stalling. When she goes to her next gig, she meets a fireman called Mac who saved her from a tree. Mac is huge and a wolf shifter…he has found his mate! He also has a shifter sister with a sick husband a run-about daughter and a great niece he helps care for. He cares so much for Mel, but she is human and fragile. After they spend one night together, he believes it is best to let her go~ Ame, the baby has taken a highly unusual liking to her~ Mel has a condition that scares him! What can be done? With everyone and the situation? What will it take to make him see reason? I received this via Booksprout and am leaving a voluntary review.

Mel is a human that sings at weddings and use to be a big star till she gave it up. Mac is a shifter and firefighter.

Mel goes to Sunkissed for a wedding is walking around town and hears a kitten crying it is stuck in a tree. Mel hates heights and tries to call the cat out of the tree but no go so she climbs up the tree to get the cat and guess what it jumps out of the tree leaving Mel stuck as now she is scared to move.

Mac gets a call about a woman stuck in a tree he thinks it is a joke the Cops are pulling on the firefighters. Shows up and everyone is gathered under the tree seeing Mels panties..lol OMG

He realizes she is his mate and she is human. This one has a shifter being stupid about his human mate and almost ruins both their lives. There is also a baby involved that controls her uncle.

Who can resist a story that starts with the heroine becoming caught up in a tree trying to rescue a stray kitty, only to be rescued by a hunky fireman? Yeah, thought that would get your attention! 😉

This is a wonderfully touching, sexy, and at times, hilarious shifter story where both MC’s have their own reasons for being cautious to act on their mutual attraction. There are some truly poignant moments (avoiding spoilers here) that force Mel and Mac to think about their preconceived notions about what they want in a relationship.

Not to be overlooked are the great supporting characters too!

I cannot believe I like this book as much as I did. Mel and Mac really had a time getting together for good. But their journey and the reasons behind Mac’s decisions are hard to understand. But Mac has his reasons. Mel is here on vacation and to sing at a wedding, how is she in the need of rescuing on her first day? And by a gorgeous firefighter. Mac can not believe he found his mate. Not a human, too fragile, can get diseases, or die from cancer? But Mel is his mate. A wonderful book with all to human people, the wolf shifters that love them, beautiful little baby girl, a unruly teenage daughter, and a mate bond that will not be denied.

I have been a fan of this author for years, and I must say that this is by far my favorite book. The emotions it elicited from me were real, and I felt like I was part of the storyline. I laughed, I swooned, and I actually cried. It was well-written and realistic and a book I couldn’t put down once I started. Five+ heart-warming stars - Candace Ayers’ writing is the epitome of heart-warming romance and creates characters that you want to have as part of your inner circle. I can’t wait to see who she introduces next.

Enthralled

This story is a 4/5 for me. I think there was some moments where it felt rushed or could have more of an intense focused connection, but I thuroughly loved this story. Mel and Mac had my moods all over from being frustrated, to swoon, then some tears in-between.

I have yet to read any other books from this series but I am certainly going to be picking the rest up for a coming read. I wish to know more about the character's that have helped pull these two amazing main leads together as a whole.

Mel heads to Sunkissed Key ahead of an engagement and encounters Mac.
Singer Mel needs to get away from her boyfriend so heads to Sunkissed Key for a few days on her own before the bands next engagement. On her first day she sees a kitten up a tree and after trying to get it to come down she climbs up after it but the kitten flee leaving Mel frozen with fear up the tree. The fire service arrives and wolf sifter fireman Mac goes up to rescue her having realized as soon as he caught her scent that she is his mate.

One hit wonder, Melody Manes’ been out of the spotlight over twenty years bur right now she needs a vacation. Specifically, from her smothering, whiny, unfaithful boyfriend, so why not go to Sunkissed Key earlier than necessary for her gig.

A slight emergency has Mel requiring emergency services and she meets Hamish ‘Mac’ MacGregor. Drowning in family issues including watching his sister’s human mate creep near death, the last thing Mac wants is to listen to his wolf that he should claim Mel as his mate.

Amazing

This final book in the 6 book series brought all of the other books together starting with P O L A R Series also 6 book series What is the main thing that is the same in all the books 📚 is the island or area that they live. A magical place to live with your mate. I'm sure you're going to enjoy every one of these amazing books 📚 But it would be great to start with P.O.L.A.R you'll not be sorry & the books flow so well 1 to the next. You'll see what I mean & eventhough each 1 could be 📖 read on it's own it's more fun to start at the beginning. Happy reading 📖

So freaking good

Yes yes yes I need a mac. Mac is a sexy fireman who is helping raise his grand niece (hes not old his niece just had a baby young) his biggest fear comes true however when he meets his mate and she's human. After watching his brother in law fight cancer he's terrified of loving a human...especially one like Mel who has diabetes. She's so fragile. But you can't fight the bond

Mac Rescues Mel

Mel went on vacation and discovered Max the firefighter, who rescued her from a tree. I've read this whole series and not sure why but I wasn't really find of this book. I guess because this was so far off the fated mates that I was disappointed how wishy washy Mac was. It left me wondering if Mac really went back a Mel because she was his mate or because he wanted Ame more?

I loved Mel and Mac's story! The author once again brings strong characters and weaves an emotional story filled with drama and humor. She does a great job developing both the characters and story line and brings it to life with her descriptive and detailed writing. It's well written, moves quickly and smoothly and is a great read.

Mates forever in love!

It has been heart welming to read these stories of forever mates and everlasting love. I can only pray that, as a human, I can find a forever love and enjoy him the rest of our lives! I hope, as an elder in life, there will still be someone who will want to spend the rest of our lives together in LOVE FOREVER. Thanks Candace for giving this old lady some hope.

Can't wait for more in this series.

How good were Mac and Mel together. I loved Ame. This was a great story and some awesome characters. Poor Parker, she is so sure of her non existent match making skills. I really felt for Mac and how scared he was to have a mate, especially after watching his brother in law fight illness. Can't wait for more.

Breath of fresh air

This story is about older adults 40ish age range. Mel thought she would never get her deam and Mac had a spinning plate full to the brim of responsibilities. Candace does a wonderful job at getting to the heart of every relationship and showing the reader just what really is important.

Short and cute

Liked the story. It was intense but short. Hated his niece Jenny. But having known someone like that and just giving up their kid so they could “live their life” made the shortness of the story not mesh for me. Plus the multiple saves of Mel by Mac. I like them as a couple. They are adorable.

Lovely story

Very much a love story with humor. Loved the characters and their interactions with each other. Absolutely adored the baby. They meet when she gets stuck up a tree and is showing the whole town her behind. He's a firefighter and instantly recognizes her as his mate. Very warm and loving book.

Everything between Mel and Mac was steamy hot but Mac still thought it was best to stay away from her because she was human. Mac knew she was his mate. He was afraid of losing her to some human ailment and it took him some time to come to his senses and to enjoy what they had in the present. Add in baby Ame into the mix and it's a sweet steamy romance with a happy ending.

Another great story

I so loved the P. O. L. A. R. Series and the Cybermates series that I hoped they wouldn't end. I'm sad they're over. But the every single one of these books were heaven to me.

Mel and Mac
Vacation in the Keys led the Mel meeting Mac in a unique way. The depth we are shown in dealing with diabetes in one character to dealing with cancer in another, but not spending all the times in hospitals. LOved the humor

Enjoyable read

It was a very well-developed storyline and it was interesting to see some of the characters from the previous books. I just wish that the hero could have been a little bit stronger

Worth it!

No matter how bad the downs can get the up times with a mate make it all worth while. Ame couldn't get cuter. Loved the way she took to Mel like Mel was her mate instead of her great uncle's.
