Smelled not smelt. Mine not mines. Just a couple of the INNUMERABLE and irritating errors in this book. This could have been a great read. The author needs to flesh out the characters a bit more. I can't believe a decent editor would send this through. This is a quintessential story of the biblical characters. My inability to leave a book unfinished is the only thing that saved it. Great potential for the author to bring it home in the next installment.
Kane 2 is a masterclass in tension, grit, and raw emotional storytelling. From the very first page, it grips you by the throat and doesn’t let go. If you thought the first installment was intense, this sequel raises the stakes in every conceivable way.
Kane is more dangerous, more conflicted, and more human than ever. The character development is razor-sharp, peeling back layers that make you understand—if not always agree with—his decisions. The pacing is relentless, but never rushed. Every scene serves a purpose, building toward a conclusion that left me stunned and desperate for the next book.
The writing is cinematic, almost visceral. You can feel the blood, the sweat, the heat of every confrontation. The moral gray areas are deeper, and the line between justice and vengeance blur in ways that challenge your own perspective.
If you’re looking for a soft, feel-good story—this isn’t it. But if you crave dark, immersive storytelling with unforgettable characters, Kane 2 delivers in spades. A brutal, brilliant ride. Bring on book 3.
So many twists and turns. I love Kane and Smoke in this book. I just hated how Kane wasn't connecting the dots fast enough Other than that this was a ok book
