4&1\2'fabulous 🌟's
Trini & Quinn are the stars of the 9th terrific entry in the Star Breed series. I've loved this series from the start and each one although a stand alone romance builds an unconventional family with each book. Every warrior and their mate becomes a part of a wider family and as a reader you look forward to seeing them in other books just like old friends. This family full of genetically engineered warriors , their crazy mad genius, scientist mother and all their mates and friends build a fantastic world that you can't help but look forward to visiting anytime you can. I for one hope they continue too find lost brothers that they bring right back into the family fold. Quinn is excellent on computers and is sent on a mission into corporate space. They believe they have found evidence of their lack brothers and Quinn is sent to find and retrieve him. When he gets to Heladae, he begins to search for information . During his search he stumbles across Trini a waitress with a heart of gold who actually mistakes him for someone else. That's when he knows she could be the key too ending his lost brother. Trini, is a country girl turned city dweller who is a waitress at a local bar. There is no one she can't charm. She a nice person who has friends and is respected by those around her.. She takes one look at Quinn and is completely enthralled by him. Food a split second she mistakenly thinks he is someone else, but quickly realized her mistake. She offers too be a guide and shows him around town. They grow closer and feeling grow deeper. But the last has a horrible way of screwing things up. A man from Trini's past puts her in harm's way and Quinn will allow nothing to hurt the woman he's co.e to love.while all this is going on he also has to complete his mission. It has action, adventure and a great love story. Both leads are drawn to one another, their is great chemistry and lots of passion. The tank!y expands by 2 in this book a new mate and a new brother. Highly recommend 💖and I can't wait for book 10 to come out 💖💖💖

I received an ARC edition of this book from the author.
Quinn is happy for his brothers that have found their mates, but he's happy with his computer programs. When there is a chance that another of their brothers may still be alive, he knows he has to go check it out, no matter that it's going to take him into unknown territory. When he arrives in Rondi he's just looking for a missing brother, but he finds himself drawn to the one person who might have a lead for him. Trini is intrigued by the stranger who comes into the bar, and though she's hesitant to get involved with someone just passing through she can't resist the pull she feels towards him. When danger strikes, will Quinn be able to save Trini and find his brother, or will he have to make a choice?
I liked Trini, she was fun and loyal to her friends. She was a good balance for the more serious Quinn. Even with the danger they faced, there were some sweet moments between these two. I also liked that Trini didn't just go with whatever Quinn told her to do, she had a good reason for doing things that were risky, not just fighting to be obstinate.
This is the first of what's clearly going to be a new arc in the story (more brothers to potentially find!) and I'm excited to see where the story goes from here. I recommend reading the previous books in the series for background.

A Sensational Sci- Fi Romance .
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of CROSSED .
It's book nine in the Starbreed series . Also one of my favorite . I loved reading it . Quinn is sent to the city of Rondi to search for a missing squad member Torik . Upon arrival he starts his search at a bar where the waitress thinks he's someone else . Trini is intriguing and smart . He thinks she may know of his missing brother . Quinn soon convinced her to give him a tour of the pleasure city . Their attraction increases . When Trini is attacked and almost abducted Quinn saves her . Together that start quite the adventure to find and retrieve Torik . They soon find themselves helping to stop evil Mada . This is absolutely an amazing story . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

This series is great
No stereotypical damsels in distress here.
After picking up a distress signal The Star Breed hope that they have another brother out there. The only problem is its from a sector that the Empire no longer governs. So Quinn is chosen to go to the planet and investigate.
In a sector devoted to business, there had to be somewhere devoted to play. And they took it very, very seriously.
“You’ve done something to me,” I murmured, lips pressed against her neck, ranging over her soft skin to nibble at the shell of her ear. “I have a job to do, a mission. But all I want is you.”
Her touch, her scent, lit a slow fuse in the back of my brain. Something deep in my blood stirred, hungry and possessive. Apparently being in a city full of raging pheromones was having an effect on me after all.

The Star Breed series is a fantadtic series. Each book revolves around a different brother and the mission that brings them to their mate. Quinn is on a mission to try to locate a brother, Torin, that's been MIA for several years. He meets Trini when she mistakes him for Torin in passing. Here is his first lead (plus he can't seem to get her out of his mind). The longer they are together, the less he wants to be away from her. There is a diverse cast of characters that made this story melt my heart. That isn't hard with this series. I've read them all, but this is one series I will excitedly read again and again.

The Star Breed saga continues as Quinn searches for Torik on a distant pleasure planet. Who knew he would find his mate first? Trini meets Quinn at the bar where she waitresses. There is just something special about him that intrigues her. Drama, danger and action reign. Sexy, sexy! Idiosyncratic characters galore! Imaginative world building. A very enjoyable read.

This was a great book to curl up with it is the second book in the series but is the first one I have read but I will be checking out the rest of the series. I was sucked right into this book and could not wait to see what happened next I would definitely recommend it I did not want to stop reading.

Another Great Hit
The book was just as great as all the previous ones and holds your attention from beginning to end. It's packed with adventure, action, kidnapping, and steamy hot romance with awesome characters? A must buy and waiting anxiously for the next book in the series.

Another good one
I loved this story too. Her characters are always so interesting and the way she weaves them into her stories is wonderful. This was another winner.

This book felt more like a contemporary, mafia read than sci-fi on a pleasure planet. Yet it was a quick paced story with a decent plot.

Quinn has gone in search of his brother which means he has to navigate the politics of the particular megacorp that runs the sector but when searching for information he finds smart and passionate Trini who agrees to show him around. It soon becomes clear that she is his key to finding his long lost brother but can he keep to his mission and keep her safe?
I enjoyed this story with the various layers of the bad guys (and an occasional good guy) that they either had to fight or help along the way. I loved the reaction from Quinn when he was trying certain foods which was a timely reminder to us all that we have become so used to them that we forget. I loved the way he came to a slow realisation that she actually was his mate. Easy to read and understand, it was not difficult to become bought into their struggles. Contains explicit sexual content.
