Tay Mo'Nae is a 27-year-old Urban Romance author who pens about Black Love. She create stories to help her readers escape reality and create a movie in their head. She loves writing about characters that at least one reader can relate too.
With 50 books under her belt, Tay Mo'Nae hopes to gain at least one new reader with every release and have them connect to her characters and story in some way. If she would have to explain her writing she would say she loves "penning complicated characters that find a path to love".
The amount of grammatical errors in this book, is unreal! 🤦🏽♀️ The story line was a good idea. But having to try to decipher what was trying to be conveyed was challenging. This is my 3rd, or 4th book, that I’ve read by this author, and all of them need some serious editing. This book was by far the worst. She needs a new editor asap!
There were some grammatical errors but I loved reading about Isabella. Charles was a complete waste of a man and he didn't deserve Isabella's time. He was too busy trying to tear her down and couldn't stand to see her move on. I thought for a second that Neal and Isabella would continue with just their friendship. Jessie set herself up knowing how honest Neal was from the jump about his feelings for Isabella. Isabella was suffering bad but I was happy once she started therapy and stopped allowing Charles' hatefulness to keep her down. Her career was going in the right direction and her love life began to fall into place as well. I loved how uplifting Neal was and was glad he finally got things straight with his parents. The ending was so sweet and I thoroughly enjoyed reading all parts of this standalone.
I really didn't like Charles and was so happy when Isabella ended things with him and that she openingly received all the love and support Neal affectionately gave her. Neal was very patient with Isabella through her depression and insecurities and he really earned that MVP spot in her life. I'm glad that Fatima and Ahmad had a healthy baby girl for them all to love. I hope Maurice recovers well and be back on the basketball court soon and that he and Autumn get pregnant soon like they want to. I hope we we a book with Jay and Ashleigh because they seem so good together until she started ghosting him since she don't like being in the limelight dating a professional basketball player.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved to see these characters get there own after reading about them in the previous 2 books. I tell u if there were more men in the world like Neal we wouldn’t have so many damaged women. Where are they? Only issue I had was that there were a lot of errors in the writing words missing the wrong word in the sentence. Other than that it was good.
"When Love Becomes A Purpose", a person can look in the mirror and see their beauty that others see... a person will no longer adapt to seeing themselves as flawed through the eyes of others that mean them no good... a man that never turned down a female will suddenly do so when he meets the one. Loving the series. Although it could use some lite editing, it's a great read!
This was so sweet and such a cute love story. Charles didn’t deserve Isabella and I’m so glad she finally walked away from him. Neal was so good to her even as a friend and I love how he wasn’t stringing the women along. Isabella was it for him he was just waiting on her to realize that and handle her situation.
Can we expect a wedding special for Fatima and Ahmad??? I loved their story so much and so glad to get a glimpse of their life in this story.
Baby, I need more of these characters! Can we get a story with Ashleigh & Jay?! I’m not ready to say goodbye yet to this crew! I fell in love the way that Neal truly loved Isabella back to life. He showed her the meaning of self worth. Please give us one more for good measures. Well done!!
This series of books were very refreshing. This particular book included someone with mental health challenges who chooses to live her best life in spite of it. I love how the characters in this series all have a little baggage they bring to their relationships, but are willing to work through it and support each other and their friends.
Neal was a real one! He loved Isabella despite her trauma and issues. This was not a trauma bonding story but one filled with love and reassurance. I like how relatable it was to real life . It definitely could have been an example of someone’s real life experiences. Loved loved loved! Tay Mo’Nae did it again!
I liked this edition to the when love series. Neal was gunning for a place in my heart for his stance regarding Isabella. With all of her I securities, it was nice to have Neal in her corner. A good read....
Neal Neal Neal!!!!! Lord that man was heaven sent! Although Bella struggles with her insecurities, he was always there to build her back up.! I lovvveeedd everything about this book from start to finish.
Neal and Bella ...... The love between these two is so amazing just when she thought that she would not find someone to love her correctly there was Neal in your space the whole time.
Neal and Isabella had the best love story. She battled depression and an insecure boyfriend before Neal but to find someone who loved her through it all was amazing. Their journey was simply beautiful.
Enjoyed this series, each couple's storyline, was full of love and kept my attention until the last page. Love is a beautiful thing and worth the work when the one is found. Tay definitely pens a love story!
This, by far, was my favorite in the series. Noah was who Isabella needed mentally and emotionally. He helped champion her journey. Encouraged her to see herself as beautiful and enough.
Tay, touched on a subject that many women struggle with and excelled.
I loved Isabella and Neal together. He was just what she needed
I believe a lot of women can connect with Isabella whether dealing with depression, being with a SAN (sorry a** n***a), or being insecure. Neal showed her what she couldn't see in more ways than one so that she could love herself and be able to accept the love he had for her. I think he was wrong with the Jessie situation though and she honestly shouldn't have tried to hang around just in case when she knew how much he felt for Isabella. I lowkey want a store for Jay and Ashleigh though.
This standalone is lit. I’m glad Bella let that punk dude Charles go cause he was doin way to much to my girl. He had her mind all over the place. I’m glad Neal was doing everything to put her mind at ease and love her how she should be loved. CHARLES hates the point that she was doin good for herself and I’m proud of her. U did good on yet another book and I’m looking forward to reading more of ur books
Isabella suffered some deep insecurities from her past, but had loving family and friends to help her get the help she needed to learn to love herself and move forward. Neal was every women's dream because he was there for Isabella through everything to inspire and encourage her. He built her up where her ex tried to tear her down. They loved each other as friends first. This was an a amazing read! Job well done!
Bella been through so much that she couldn't see that Neal was her one. I'm so happy she was able to over come the emotional and verbal abuse of her ex. I'm glad that Tay Monae wrote that she got therapy to over come her insecurities and with the help of Neal. African American are the least like to get therapy or ask for a help. She overcame her issuse and was rewarded with the love of her.
Isabella, a beautiful girl, who was teased all her life for being a little "thick". That led to self esteem issues, depression and an eating disorder. She the gets with a a$$ that puts her down, and makes her feel lower than she already does. In comes Mr. Neal, her friend, who becomes her confidant, cheerleader and love. The way he took his time to love her into healing, was beautiful. Great job!
I wish I could give this book 10 stars ⭐️IT was such a beautiful book. I love that the subjects of bulimia, depression, and self-esteem issues played an important role and I’m so glad that Neal was there to support Isabella. This has easily become one of my favorite books. Now I’m ready for Ashleigh and Jay’s book👀😁
Tay you are awesome. I say it with every review, Neal the man of any womans dream. And he loved Isabella through it all. Charles was the biggest a-hole and I'm so glad she got over him. Fatima had a baby girl and I bet $2 that Isabella is pregnant. I feel it. Can't wait for the next book. Great work suga!!!
I mean the things that Isabella endured when she was a teenager was crazy. I completely understand why she was the way she was and why it was soo easy to fall into her depression. Neal was bae the way he loved her and helped her love herself. This book was soo good. I just need Jay and Ashleigh and this series will be complete 🤞🏾
This series is so good. Isabella has so man insecurities stemming from when she was a teenager. Charles was no good for her. I think he was jealous of her. Neal always let her know that she is very beautiful and their is nothing wrong with her figure. Isabella has such a beautiful soul. I am glad her Isabella and Neal are together.
I loved this book! Neal gave me such life. The love , support , and self worth he poured into her! It was everything! It had me yearning for from them! Needing more from them! Neal was everything. That man there! Phenomenal job!
I'm so glad that Bella got rid of Charles and chose Neal. Charles was really destroying her self-esteem all because he wasn't happy within his self. Neal was just what she needed.
This was a great read and I really enjoyed each of these books. Although I love all of the couples, Bella and Neal are my favorite. I can't wait to read what you have next.
I'm so in loved with Isabella story, I'm glad she find love and overcame her depression. I'm happy that Neal loved her though it all, can't wait to hear about Ashleigh and Jay story
