Sawyer Hunt has always been confident with his place in the world. He knows what he wants, conceals his painful truths behind a mask of cool indifference and keeps his circle small. The only person who has ever come close to smashing through his inner walls is the one person his parents will never accept.
Xavier Daniels is sick of being Hunt’s dirty little secret. When he fled the ugliness of his past, he swore he would never again hide who he is. Or let anyone hurt him or make him feel ashamed. So, discovering the man he’s in love with is engaged to some mystery woman devastates him. Forced into making the only decision he can, Xavier locks up his heart, determined to keep Hunt out for good.
Sydney Shaw is the bane of her father’s existence. But he’s finally found a way to end her rebellious streak—marry a virtual stranger or be cut off forever. Hunt could be a great husband, if he wasn’t such a cold, moody jerk and she wasn’t still hung up on the guy who broke her heart at fifteen.
Marrying Sydney to save his father’s company is a sacrifice Hunt will make because he suspects the elite is involved, and it’s up to him and his friends to stop them. With his heart also on the line, Hunt is determined to end the threat quickly or risk losing the one person he now realizes he can’t live without. Consequences be damned.
Sawyer is the sixth book in the Rydeville Elite world, and it is recommended to read the previous books in the series first. This romance contains MM and MF scenes, in addition to some dark themes/references. It is recommended for readers aged eighteen and older. Ends with an HEA for the chosen couple.

So, originally this was going to be MMF romance BUT the characters took me on a different journey. This romance contains MM and MF scenes, but there will be an HEA for the chosen couple. There is no menage.
Skimmed this. I wasn't on board with this book from the beginning, but since I read the trilogy a while back, I was curious to see who Sawyer would end up with. Since no one is mentioning it, it's with Xavier. You're welcome. This after he cheats and has sex with the girl (that he marries) I'm trying to wrap my head around why Siobhan Davis added the MF element in it because it added absolutely nothing to the book. Just unnecessary drama, but then again it's her M.O.

I am always exhilarated to be back in the explosive and gritty Elite world- with all the volatile emotions, angsty and complicated relationship dynamics, and the elite world corruption and plotting. In the highly anticipated Sawyer, Siobhan whisks back into the middle of all the drama- and it is a wild ride.
Out of all the Rydeville crew, I was most anxious about Sawyer’s story. He’s a character I’ve always loved, but compared to firey Kai and feisty Jackson, he’s been the cold and distant one. They were all mysteries in their own ways, but Sawyer has always felt particularly closed off, tangled in his own head, distant and non-emotive. Could Siobhan stay true to this fabric of this character while opening him up to us? Can we find warmth and emotional connection in a character who has so clearly fought those very things? And, even more so, I was nervous FOR Xavier- whereas Sawyer is cold and stoic, Xavier is all warmth, exuberant energy, chaotic emotions. I’ve loved him so fiercely since we met him- and like Abby, I feel irrationally protective over him. He’s been the heart and light of this story in many ways, I needed him protected- even if this was Sawyer’s story. From what we’ve read between the pages about him and Sawyer, their relationships has been complicated, angsty, and undefined- and so I knew no matter what story Siobhan gave us (Sawyer with Xavier, Sawyer not with him, them with someone, etc) that the emotional growth would be up to Sawyer, and that those growing pains would be hard on our sweet, eccentric Xavier- risking me feeling even more unsure about Sawyer.
But that is where this story excels- in Sawyer himself. We have several other characters that this story involves and impacts (including some of our past favorites), but this book is called Sawyer for a reason. I won't tell you much about the plot- but there are plenty of reviews that tell you just who gets the HEA, but here’s what you need to know, we have multiple people’s needs at stake, they will all disappoint you because everyone is very imperfect, and that the focus is truly Sawyer. This is HIS story- about his growth. And, while we have some Elite mystery that the Rydeville Scooby Gang is working to solve and we also end up with some pretty spectacular dark intrigue and drama, this is about an emotional liberation for our most restrained leading man. About him unleashing his full self and his full heart.
Narratively, there are some unexpected and interesting choices to this story- the voices we hear and the Elite drama that underscores the romance. I know and trust that Siobhan is an incredible mastermind- always finding the right balance between weaving the larger cross-story narrative and building the standalone romance. So, I know there was intentionality here, even if I’m not yet clear on the why of some of those choices. This story definitely felt different to me in terms of how the story unfolded than its predecessors (the blurb itself indicates it will be) , which definitely kept me on my toes. From the blurb I was worried I wouldn’t know just who to invest in emotionally, but Siobhan cleverly finds a way to make that clear to us- even if we don’t know where it’s going. The sexy burn was also much slower than the prior Rydeville crew, which was an interesting change of pace but made a lot of narrative sense given the relationship dynamics (trying not to spoil so being vague) and Sawyer’s character arc. This is a character that has NEVER had an issue connecting physically- it’s emotionally that is his problem, and so isolating his story to focus on his emotional conflict and repression is a brilliant way to force him to confront it, and to allow his character growth to shine.
We have an incredibly explosive ending- after a lot of angst and a more meta-focused story we get a lot of Elite drama and twists- and the usual Elite grit and violence. We also have a huge emotional catharsis, one that is tremendously rewarding after all the indecision and angst- and one that is touchingly sweet amid all the darkness. In the end, the right people find their way to each other- even if I wanted to stew a bit more in their happiness, and to live more in the head of my favorite person. But, again, this was about Sawyer shining- and Sawyer shines indeed. I’m SO READY FOR DREW.
Siobhan Davis did it Again! Sawyer shredded my heart, took my breath away and I just became more obsessed with Rydeville World. She delivered twists and turns like the genius storyteller she is. And she also made me feel all the epic feels.
I was so so scared to start this story because Sawyer and Xavier have been my most anticipated story but well...Siobhan Davis doesn't do anything easy, does she? Now Sawyer is forced to get married to Sydney Shaw because only her father can save Sawyer's father and their company from going under. What will happen to Xavier and Sawyer's complicated story? What will Sydney do when coerced into a marriage that she needs to be free from her controlling father? The Elite is also after Sawyer and his friends because they exposed this vile corrupt and all powerful secret society.
This story was nothing like I expected. If you have read the previous Rydeville books, you know that Sawyer and Xavier had insane chemistry that goes hate-lust-hate all the time. They never had a label. They driver each other crazy. Sawyer has this cold and indifferent attitude that comes from a deep sense of never being openly loved. He can be ruthless and dangerous and volatile. And Xavier is just the opposite. He is so much fun! A bright source of love, loyalty and friendship. He is impulsive and reckless and has this adorable inappropriate personality that clashes with Sawyer's. On the other hand, Sydney has been heartbroken and hurt so many times and this marriage is her last resort..but its a difficult situation. She is strong and sweet but the troubles are piling up. Sawyer is torn between duty and love. Xavier is angry and broken. Sydney is confused and sad. A mess. A complete mess of my emotions! Oh the angst was just too much. No human heart can handle so much emotional torture and the author made it extra special. I cannot believe I survived! You will be tested. You will be feeling hopeless and desperate but never stop, because at the end it will be so worth it. Like any Rydeville High Elite book, this story has jaw dropping suspense and adrenaline filled action sequences with the full crew coming together to put the final nail in the Elite's coffin. The right kind of happily ever after will come and you just need to carry on.
Sawyer by Siobhan Davis was an explosive journey through passion, heartbreak, swoon and suspense. Another epic story from the epic storyteller.
𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄: What I love about every Author Davis's books are they all are so unexpected...full of surprises and twists. This book is no exception...this is the story of Sawyer from Rydeville elite.
An MM...MF in an arrange marriage trope...sounds so unique to me...and it definitely stands up to all my expectations. Sawyer was the quiet broody guy and here we saw so much of his emotions that he hides behind his facade of coldness...His life is a series of mess up...having a boyfriend and then betrothed to marry for the family business is bound to bring disaster in his life...but what he didn't expect was finding love in such a chaotic situation.
I loved Rydeville Elite series... and seeing some previous characters was everything my fan heart needed. And that ending...you guys have no freaking idea how it will messed up with your head...so so so good...just warning you...keep the tissue handy!😏🤧 Author Davis really did wonders with this... I can't wait to see the other books whe will dish out next.. I am all on this author's fan club rightnow.
Review : I am so happy to finally read this book! Rydeville Elite is one of my favourite book worlds and I have been dying to return back to it. Sawyer has always been one of my favourite characters and his story is one the best ones in this saga. Sawyer , Sydney and Xavier will have one hell of a tale that will keep you on your toes and make you enjoy every second of it!
It has both MM and MF scenes but will end in HEA for one chosen couple. I loved the ending btw. It was everything I expected and so much more!! The characters are perfect and I loved seeing the interactions between the main characters and the side ones. The author also gave us a tease about the next few books of this world and I am so excited for that!!
Highly recommended to all the Dark romance loving people! Even though this one is a standaine , it is a part of the rydeville eliye world and I think for the best experience all books should be read in order!
I think I had very high expectations for this book and unfortunately, I am disappointed. Sawyer was in a relationship with Xavier. then, He went on dates and married Sydney. We read some excuses for why he had done that. Some Elite stuff like other books also happened. And HEA for Sawyer and Xavier. Sydney? Well, she was MIA after she had POVs and chapters about her past. I think writers decided to have another book for her in middle of this book. I wish this book were more organized.

FINALLY the book I've been waiting for....all about Sawyer and Xavier 💗. True to all books in this exhilarating series, its in no way an easy road. Have past enemies come back to haunt our friend group? True to form there are oodles of twists and turns, lots of heat, alpha males galore, and hurdles at every turn. Not to mention a few surprises popping up along the way. Keep your friends close, and cut the enemies off at the knees 🤓. This gem will have you clenching your teeth, cheering, and getting teary eyed all in one read. Suffice to say you'll be feeling ALL the feels, and boy is I worth it!!
It's been a hot minute since I've read any of the previous books in the series again, so while it did take me a bit to remember just *all* that has gone down in the series with the other couples, I was still excited to finally get Sawyer's story. Especially since we all know who he really loves already, I knew going in that this was going to be angsty and forbidden with all the feels. And it was, but at the same time it wasn't.
I felt like Sawyer and his leading love lacked the chemistry they had in the previous books in the series. Idk if it was my mood while reading, or just how long its been since I've read the other books, but I just couldn't connect with them like I wanted to. Plus there was that one scene that happened, and I get it was there to add drama/heartbreak and have Sawyer actually make a decision.. But I just hated that it happened. No spoilers, but it made me like Sawyer less, which is really heartbreaking.
I did feel really bad for one person in particular, and I hope we will see more of them in future books.
Overall this was a good addition to a crazy amazing series, I just wish I loved Sawyer in his own book more than I did. But if you're a huge fan of this series, I would still recommend reading this book!
*I tried so hard to keep my review vauge and free of spoilers! *wipes forehead*
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**
FIVE DARK STARS for Sawyer, Xander and Sydney ❤🖤❤🖤!!!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
"Rydeville Elite" series is the first dark high school bully romance I've ever read and it was also the first series I've read by Siobhan Davis and it completely won me over with her writing style.
I have to admit that when I first heard Sawyer was going to get his book I wasn’t too thrilled with it, but as time went on I became curious and couldn’t wait to finally have this book in my hands.
"Sawyer" is a dark college bully romance with lots of plot twists and unexpected situations that won’t allow you to take even five minutes of a break just to find out what happened next in the book.
Siobhan thrilled me again with her writing and I'm immensely looking forward to the last book from this series.
Pretty sure my rating speaks for itself bcoz bruh!!! WUTTA DISAPPOINTMENT. I seriously didn't expect such a lacklustre from Siobhan Davis....but it is what it is :")
Sadly, this was my least favorite of the series. I did enjoy it but it lacked the passion and the romance I’ve come to expect from these books.
Sawyer and Xavier have always had this push and pull, this hate energy and sexual tension, and it was just missing. It is hard to explain without spoilers so I’ll just leave it there.
The relationship with Sydney also fell flat. The romance aspect of the book was a 3 star.
So why the 4 star?? The Elite aspect of the book was 5 stars. I loved the suspense and the mystery. I loved the crew coming together to solve another layer of the Elite world. I just really needed more of the romance.
While this wasn’t my favorite, I did like the HEA and how Sawyer groveled and showed his person his love, and I’m going to put this out there that I think Drew is going to be my favorite. Let’s see if he can knock Kia out of his top spot.
The Rydeville Elite series continues to enthrall with it's twisted suspense and incredible cast of characters. I always get consumed with the Elite.
Sawyer was happy with the way things were. However, his father lets him in on a family secret and his world is turned upside down. Now torn between doing what he wants and making a major sacrifice to save the family business, Sawyer will need to choose.
Sometimes you have to lose the most important thing in your life before you realize what it means to you.
The author continues to take us on a roller coaster of a ride. Nothing is ever as it seems and there is always an agenda. Being part of the Elite comes with constant obstacles and betrayal. This story will give you a glimpse of Sawyer and the life that made him who he is. He's young but his life has never been simple. He's a complex man who is just trying to figure out what he wants, while working in the family business and avoiding a takedown by the Elite. It's his story of discovering a love that has been right in front of him...all he has to do is let it in.
I continue to look forward to each addition to the series and I cannot wait for more.
I’ve been dying for Sawyer and Xavier’s book since we were first introduced to them and I was not disappointed. Siobhan created a couple with so many overlapping layers and emotions that you could physically feel them bursting from the pages. These two were so much more than I was ready for, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Sawyer is guarded and controlling and Xavier is wild and free, the dichotomy between them was addictive and consuming. They may be polar opposites but the love that they have for each other outweighs the trials and tribulations they have to go through. I think they balanced each other out in a way that no one else ever could.
Siobhan always brings her A game when she writes and this book is no different. This world that she’s created will grip you by the throat and never let go. Each book and each journey is so different and yet so utterly interlaced that you see the threads throughout and you can follow it to any other story in the series. Sawyer has topped my list of must reads for 2021!!

I thought I hit pay dirt when I discovered this author’s Kennedy Boys series. So I tried another book of hers and it was just… so so.
A 1 star here, a 2 star there, a nfm here…Still, I tried another one. And another one. And another….
Im not a frivolous reader. I don’t give up on my authors. I spend time and money to know the worlds they build and share with us.
In this case, no matter how hard I try to stay invested in her characters, her writing style, her plots, her WORLDS, I just can’t find anything worthy of at least 3 stars for me.
So today I stop trying.
I’m doing neither of us any good by sticking around, reading and rating 1 stars.
Sawyer is the next book in Siobhan's Rydeville Elite series. While this book does focus on Sawyer, Xavier and Sydney, you must read the previous books as there is a plot line that flows through every book.
I had been really looking forward to Sawyer's book as he's been a bit cagey in previous books and was not let down.
I enjoyed the storyline that Siobhan delivered and how things played out. The underlying plot that's playing out through each book is tied beautifully into this story. I love that neither overshadows the other and keeps the reader just as engrossed.
I was hoping to get more on backgrounds about Sydney & Xavier so we as readers could connect better to them. But it doesn't deter from the overall story.
Overall, Sawyer is really good continuation in this series and keeps things interesting. Siobhan really knows how to keep readers engaged, the plot lines unique and characters not too cliché.
Amount of sex 3.5 / 5 How explicit are the sex scenes 4 / 5 Story 5 / 5 Overall: 5 / 5
Another amazing story by the incomparable Siobhan Davis! Sawyer is the sixth book in the Rydeville Elite series, and I’ve been looking forward to reading his story for a while now! The wait was excruciating but so well worth it! In case you aren’t aware, each book in this series tells the story of a different couple. Even though this is true, there’s a background story that continues throughout the series. Therefore, you’ll need to read the books chronologically to fully appreciate and understand the storyline.
The Rydeville Elite series has been one of my favorites, and I’ve reread them several times. Even though I love all of the characters, Sawyer has a special place in my heart. Oh, and let me tell you, his story had it all! Love, laughs, betrayals, heartache, suspense, danger, and twists that I never expected! Not much could have pried me away from this book! I absolutely loved the ending, and now I can’t flipping wait for Drew’s story!
I've been itching to get my hands on Sawyers book since first meeting him and now here it is. It was everything I knew it would be and stayed true to the Rydeville Elite world. It was suspenseful, there were twists and turns and steam. I honestly can't get enough of this world.
Oh how I've waited for this story!!! I love all of the Rydeville gang and Sawyer is right there with them all!! This story was full of so many unexpected things. It truly had me all over the place wondering what was going to happen next! I loved getting inside Sawyer's head and along with his we also get inside the head of one my other favorite members of the crew Xavier!! These two are so opposite from one another and it was amazing to watch this story unfold. My heart felt for both of them and then throw in Sydney and boy did that kick up this story a bunch! I loved that she gave back to Sawyer everything he did and then some! I also loved getting to read about all of the Rydeville crew again and see them come together to work on what ever issues are going down. This group of characters are some of my absolute favorite and Siobhan knows how to bring them all back into the story with even more twists and turns you don't see coming!! It honestly makes me want more and more! I don't think I could ever get tired of reading about them all! I can't wait to see what's next!
Does this series ever run out of steam? The simple answer is hell no and im bloody happy it doesnt! In Sawyer's book he comes across as so straight laced, towing the line and confident but under all that hes so much more complicated. A fact that you find out more about in the course of this book. He does go through the wringer but with that ending it was all worth the ups and downs. It does bring out the feels too with some steam but at the heart of it is about respect and of course love. Which i found endearing. All of this runs alongside the continuing story that runs through all the books and that kept me on my toes. A brilliant read and a great addition to the series
Squealing with delight after finishing this amazing book! WOW! I didn’t see any of this coming and if you love the Ryderville gang this book will blow you away as well!
Sawyers story is a very emotionally gripping one. Add in the layers of intense mystery and suspense and you have your self a face paced novel that sucks you in and doesn’t let go till you are done! The hours passed like minutes as I read this story and I am on pins and needles till I can read Drew’s book! This series and these characters are EVERYTHING!
Oh Siobhan Davis, seriously slays me every time! I have been patiently impatiently waiting for Sawyer! The Rydeville series is one I’ve loved from the very beginning and I was on pins and needles waiting for the next installment. To no one’s surprise, I am pleased to say that Davis did not disappoint one bit! The build up of the sub plot that’s followed throughout the series was amazing. Sawyer has always held his cards close but there’s a side to him we’ve never seen. I lived to see him open up himself and show us his heart. I inhaled this story with zest and loved every minute. But, it wouldn’t be a Siobhan Davis book if she didn’t play with your emotions just a bit because ma’am, that bomb drop you gave us at the end left me speechless!
I absolutely love these books and this one was a fantastic addition to this series. This is the #6 book in the series Rydeville Elite and is Sawyer's story and I couldn't wait to read his book. This is a dark bully romance book that you will love.
Sawyer is a guy that liked everything in a particular way in his life and likes every thing in order and everything he can control. He's been dating Xavier secretly from his parents for a while and they are both so different but have awesome chemistry together. But the problem is Sawyer is forced to do something he really doesn't want to do but this comes at a huge cost to him and his relationship with Xavier and I really feel for them both. They are really smart, sexy, cool savvy guys that will do anything for the people in there lives who they love and this is what Sawyer is doing for the company. The question is what will Sawyer to to get his life back?
I really loved these characters and I always have even in the rest of the series. They are both so different where Sawyer is very conserved, Xavier is so wacky and fun loving. I loved reading this journey that this author took us on with these two. I loved all the twists, the suspense, the drama and the emotional heartbreak that will keep the reader gripped in this story until the end. I would highly recommend reading the others in the series first so you can easily follow the story all the way because it really is amazing. I really like the way that this author writes and really enjoy the worlds that she creates. I really cant wait to read the next in line Drew and see what has been holding him back this whole time.
Siobhan Davis returns to her Ryderville Elite with Sawyer delivering a story brimming with secrets and questionable dealings!
Ms. Davis finally addresses the ambiguous relationship that simmered on the sidelines between Sawyer and Xavier throughout this series. Their physical attraction was always there but it was their true feelings that finally burst out and caught them in a maelstrom of emotion and realizations forcing the inevitable. The back and forth between this couple was intense and kept upping the level of angst between them as outside tried to force them apart continually. This pair's chemistry was scorching but it was their genuine love for each other that gave this story depth.
Surly and stoic Sawyer came face to face with the reality of how he felt about Xavier when his family pressured him into an arranged marriage to save them from ruin. The problem was Sawyer's parents ultimatum and test of loyalty caused him to see that he was pushing away his chance at true happiness to live a lie for others. As the sinister machinations of the Elite set in motion the separation of Sawyer and Xavier in the end it was what cemented their commitment to each other. It was nice to reach past Sawyer's aloofness and Xavier's flippancy and see the more vulnerable sides of these characters.
Sidney Shaw was the woman Sawyer's parents chose for him. She checked off all the right boxes for what was deemed acceptable in a wife by the Hunt family. At first Sidney and Sawyer decided to keep their marriage as a business arrangement but the more time they spent together the more the lines blurred. Sidney was not only beautiful but as Sawyer got to know her he realized he actually liked her. Sidney was a complication that had the potential to move into Sawyer's heart. The realization that there was chemistry between them and that a solid commitment already existed between them gave this story a nice twist. With a foundation in place to build a life that was not only comfortable but happy this author kept readers guessing as to who Sawyer would ultimately end up with.
Action and skillful plot twists are some of Siobhan Davis' prominent traits as an author but what is often overlooked is just how consistent the quality of her work is. Her stories are always engaging and never gratuitous in their presentation. The sixth book in her Ryderville Elite series, Sawyer, shows that instead of losing steam Siobhan Davis continues to keep interest in this series leaving her readers wanting more of the Ryderville Elite!
*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own.* *While this work can be read as a stand-alone, for an overall enhanced reading experience reading the previous books in this series is suggested.*
ARC received in exchange for an honest review. And an honest review you shall get.
Let me start off once again by saying how much of a super fan I am of Siobhan’s work. Like that much of a super stalkery fan I made my way onto her street team 😱. ‘Act cool!’
Anywhoooooo
So Sawyer, sawyer is book 6 in the rydeville elite series. And I have been waiting for this book for some time! Sawyer was the one I clicked with from the start and absolutely loved (well maybe after Jackson. But who can resist Jackson!)
Anyway I digress. This book is another angsty amazing story by the talented SD. All the twists and turns and of course a HEA at the end.
No spoilers from me like always BUT I will say I loved the cameos and mentions of other characters in this story.
Another amazing book. Another amazing story. Well done and congratulations SD.
I highly recommend this book. And all of Siobhan’s books. Siobhan is a die hard author of mine and I will happily spread the word for any of her books.
Please DO NOT MESSAGE ME ASKING FOR SPOILERS! I will not give any and find this behaviour attrocious!!
Recommended For; those who love steamy, with a perfect blend of romance and angst. dark themes/references.
First my usual points : -> I do not do spoilers unless warned. -> Read the summary above; it will tell you what the book is about. -> Apart of a series : book number 6 : needs to be read in order. -> The author was not new to me.
Book: -> 2 main characters with others from past books. -> MM and MF scenes
Notes/Opinion (personal):
Oh Siobhan just keeps on doing it, each book keeps on getting better.
Sawyer had me wanting to throw my kindle a few times yet he tore my heart apart too than pieced it back together. There was so many twist and turns, just like past books. Xavier is just one of those characters that you just love from the beginning, I can actually see us being friends in real life. His full of life and feels so many emotions, which he is 100% his right.
Sawyer and Xavier has this connection that no one else can match. Do to some events that couldn't be dismissed that connection is split in half. Luckily the team is together and works their magic to save the connection.
I'm looking forward to the rest of this series, I don't want it to be done but I need more at the same time.
