Owweee... 😰😯😰😯
This was definitely a 5 minus few details that was not up to par but nothing is ever 💯 percent perfect.
This is my second time reading this author although I did not know it, but I am so glad that I did not look into my history to have seen that I had read one of her books and did not like it. The book in question was "falling for a black millionaire" and it was so poorly writing and the plot was so bad I didn't click on the option to have this author followed which was why it went under my radar and was I happy about this mistake because I would have passed on a great story.
There were a few mishap in this story that put a small frustration to the full enjoyment; such as: 1) the reason that Case gave as to why he is going forward with the original plan with Kiami was so childish(was the only word I could come up with), 2) the reason why Avi never spoke to Case (again childish), 3) the reason why Marcus did not say anything to Case when he came over (so absurd) and finally the reason Case stayed for this long. Then to top all that, the feeling of having the end rushed as if it was yesterday that they had left each other was unbelievable. And lastly, how without any repercussion all of these people just learned of each other's existence and boom, all is well in Huntsville...
But for real, even with all of these hiccups it was a very profound story, one that happens everyday to some high class people that a lot of the times we do not acknowledge. The abuse, physically, emotionally or verbally is never acceptable as well as suicide, and in this story the author touched it with a lot of professionalism. It will make you ask yourself all of these questions and make you opened your eyes and see if you can't do something about it. This will have you question the ultimate: are you in because you have become so complacent and use to the routine or are you in because of love? The author really put out her talent there and for that alone this book deserves more than a five star, because she has not only touched on a delicate story of abuse and why one stays and take it, while also touching on your spirituality and his purpose in your life.
Great book MS. Bianca... Can't wait to read your other stand alone stories...
