Delver Magic #15

Broken Existence

Rate this book
After discovering disturbing gaps in the flows of magic, Ryson Acumen attempts to find an individual capable of capturing magical echoes. The delver follows the trail deep into Dark Spruce Forest, and he locates signs of trapped influence, the underlying structure which gives each spell its purpose and potency. During his search, Ryson encounters spell casters, dark creatures, and demons, but the trail of broken energy continues to perplex him.

While Ryson continues his pursuit, Rul Saattan begins his claim upon absolute dominion over all of existence. In order to fracture the hold of destiny, the demon lord decides to shatter the structure of his realm. Rul separates himself from his domain, allowing a human spell caster to shape events both within Demonsheol and across Uton. Rather than confront the delver directly, the demon lord permits the chaos of free will to echo across his realm. By enabling such forces to take root within Demonsheol, he finally discovers Ryson Acumen's greatest weakness.

Ryson is caught within a trap forged by the circumstances of his past. As he examines the circumstances of his life, he begins to contemplate a riddle which defies a reasonable solution. As a delver, he must continue his quest for an answer, but his path will only lead him back do Demonsheol and a final confrontation with the lord of all demons.

Deliver Magic saga.

This saga really needs to be made into a series of movies. It is that good. Jeff Is Ianello is a truly talented writer.
