A MMF Wolf Shifter Threesome Romance with an HEA!
Mina Daschel is poor. Dirt poor. It's not the end of the world, but sometimes it feels that way, especially as she struggles along raising her younger brother and sister while trying to keep her mom out of jail. Maybe she would have been fine, but then her mate, Blu, rejected her. Now all she can do is keep her head above water while life sweeps her further and further downstream.
Her Alpha notices. It's his job to notice, after all. But Alpha Alexander has a bigger problem. He's not much of an alpha. It's his best friend and Beta, Teague, who is the real muscle in the pack, but Teague is MateLess. Cursed to be alone until his wolf goes feral and Alexander has to kill him.
Why not kill two birds with one stone? Alexander institutes the Breeder program in his pack and gives the young Mina to his Beta, Teague, to be used to provide pups to the male. Of course, it can't really be that simple. There's the morality, naturally, and the rumors, and the falling in love, and Blu... but Teague isn't above doing whatever is necessary to take a Mate for himself.
Beggars can't be choosers, unless they are bigger than everyone else...
WARNING: Mature. Contains Sexual Situations, Dubious Consent, Language
You ever start reading a book that is just terrible, but you keep reading it to see if it gets better or just snowballs into an even worse clusterfuck?
Yeah, that was me with this one. It was like a car accident you can't help but looking and rubbernecking. I just kept reading and it was rough. It was so convoluted and ridiculous. Not grounded in real emotion or reactions at all. The dialogue was so flat and juvenile, I kept getting so aggravated I had to stop reading for a bit and take breaks. I don't know why I kept reading honestly except the ridiculous situations that kept getting introduced to inject conflict. It was like, "oh, so we're going there now?"
This was dumb. I'm mad at myself for not DNFing it after a few chapters. There is nothing that entices me to read any more of this series.
I know I have very little leg to stand on and that it's fictional and no one is actually getting groomed and exploited, but damn, there are ways to write 18 year olds that doesn't make me feel I ended up on a list somewhere.
The poor heroine is the lowest member of the pack and turned 18 like a month ago. She's still in high school and struggling to keep her alcoholic mother in check and her two young siblings fed and clothed. The pack provides a small allowance but she's heavily monitored to make certain she uses the allowance well. She's also just recently been rejected by her truemate* (more on that later)
Instead of having that monitoring put to better use, like taking away the minors from the alcoholic mother and placing them in a safe environment. The Alpha sees the way she's struggling and being bullied and finally decides to do something.
That something is to turn the 18 year old poorest, most vulnerable member of the pack (apart from her younger siblings, I guess) into a breeder and sexual release for his emotionally and mentally unstable 28 year old Beta.
He offers her the option to be a breeder and to pay her 500 dollars a week for it, but she has to sign before she knows who it is.
I was already pretty disgusted, but I was hoping this would turn into a 'touch her and die' situation where all her bullies get humiliated.
Instead it turns into what it sounded... a vulnerable 18 year old used as sexual released for a 28 year old. Nothing special, no care. He uses her whenever he feels like it, regardless of the fact her status as breeder is supposed to remain confidential to protect her. But no, he doesn't care. Her bullying just gets even worse.
*And remember her truemate? It's a fellow high schooler. His would be girlfriend tells him she's a slut and he decides to reject her based on that.
Even though the book makes such a big deal about truemates and how rejections are super rare and always ends up in misery for everyone.
At some point, we're in the male truemate's head (who is supposed to join them since this is an MMF) and he complains how her mother, sister and girlfriend all use perfume and how they stink. He remembers how the heroine smells like soap and herself each time he got a whiff of her.
The problem with that? Well, the reason why the first hero using her in public is bad is because it doesn't give her time to clean up and that she has to take a very long shower and clean really deeply to get the scents off. She says even with that scents can linger for a whole week sometimes.
WHICH MEANS, it made no sense for the truemate hero to think she was a slut or that she was selling her body for money! He would smell it!!!! Which. he. does. The moment he sees her right as she finished being used, he whiffs her from afar and knows!!
GET THE RULES OF YOUR OWN FUCKING WORLD STRAIGHT.
I was already going to DNF at this point but I was curious how her weepy, whiny truemate would join the party...
... and the hero molests him. Two 18 year olds in one week. Wow. This author made her shifter predators in all the senses.
Author blacklisted to the pits of hell because I definitely got put on a list because of this.
This one was intriguing and I did like the storyline, It also had some interesting ideas. The story centres on Mina who’s true mate Blu has rejected her. Not only does he reject her he also allowed his friends to bully her and when he realises just what he’s done and how wrong he’s been Mina has moved on with the pack beta Teague.
Teague was born a mateless wolf he’s also unhappy with his chosen mate. Taking on young Mina as the mother of his future pups he soon realises if he wants the whole of her then he is going to have to accept an unconventional bond, Essentially two mates instead of the one.
So this is MMF ménage originally there’s lots of grovelling from Blu after he realises his epic mistake, Enough for me to feel satisfied and for Blu to redeem himself anyway. I did enjoy it but it definitely could do with some condensing down and some editing. It also did get a bit confusing at times and felt somewhat disjointed and jumped around a lot. I also thought the narrative was a tad juvenile in nature and stuff didn’t always make a whole lot of sense.
The dynamic here is Teague is the dominant male while the other two are younger and much more submissive, Teague is definitely the wolf in charge. There’s a lot going on story-wise with this and it flitted from each escapade I think that at times there may have been too much going on though as it could get distracting keeping up. Heat wise this one was smoking and this didn’t lack chemistry that’s for sure. Overall this does have potential it just needs the pacing and timings sorting and a good editor.
DNF @ 55% - I thought maybe I could hang with the m/m if they stayed focused on the h, but now the guys are dating and sexxing alone and that feels like cheating to me. I’m also SUPER turned off by the weepy weak 2nd H. I thought the h was well rid of him, and I’m not excited to have to deal with his whiney weepy self for the rest of the book. 😐 I need my heros to be strong and alpha even if there’s more than one. 🤷🏼♀️ I tried.

There are several reasons why this book should have negative stars and one of them is that this author has to have a rape fetish.
2) All other female characters not directly related to the FL is either a “bully”, “bitch”, “slut”, or “ rich bimbo”. It’s insane how little character depth there is to the female characters compared to the males.
3) Taegue is a rapist as well as an abuser. Not only did he abuse his authority over a barley legal girl financially, physically, mentally, and sexually but he used it to punish her when she did not want to submit to him. He raped her in her own home because “ he needed to prove he was stronger than her.” There were several instances where this happened with the FL and the ML “Blu”. And it’s not like the moral compass is non-existence in this book because three different characters mention how wrong it was for Taegue, a nearly 30 year old, to rape and steal two kids from their homes because he was lonely and didn’t want to kill himself. One of those people being Taegue, but it’s ok because then he goes to explain that he couldn’t help himself, he’ll just win over their love. It’s ridiculous. There is also heavy emphasis on Taegues obsession with his “young” mates “purity” and how he loves to strip it away from them each time he rapes them.
They’re quite literally crying and begging him to stop because he’s hurting them. 🤦🏽♀️.
4) Taegue is too childish for a grown man. At the beginning he paraded around his child bride to make an example of the people who mistreated her. He taunts Blu by telling him ways that he exploités the FL and as he’s doing it he forces Blu to get aroused by touching him. He then says and I quote “ This is how easy it is for a powerful wolf to sexually manipulate a juvenile,”. Almost all his behavior is that of a child who can’t contain themselves, or in his case won’t. Because he knows since he’s the most powerful no one will stop him. That leads me to the next point.
5) Taegue utilities his power to suppress any objection to his “claims” or in reality his child brides Mina and Blu. When Mina and Blu rejected him he just raped them into submission. When Alexander objected him he beat the shit out of him and tried to rip out his lovers throats. When the kids parented objected him he literally moved them out their house and into his, where no one could reach them. He told Mina that if she were to leave back to her house then she would have no money to spend there because he controls all their finances.
6) Taegue gets upset over Blu’s aversion to him. He tells him after raping and claiming him that he has to come to his house twice a week so that they can learn to like each other. This is after they were force bonded, where Blue has absolutely no choice in the matter or he would die.
7) No character development. Just because you change the quotes and speech to what the characters say does not mean they made development. There’s no reason Blu and Mina should have stayed with Taegue when all he did was abuse them but the author just writes “ I love him “ and it’s all okay, when a whole half of the book was spent of them scared and complaining of him.
Ass book don’t read.

I begrudgingly slink over to a three star. I much more comfortable with a two star rating but I did actually finish this book. Which should tell you something (if any are aware of my year and a half struggles to find something to read).
First, GET A FREAKING EDITOR!!! See notes and highlights for specific examples. An editor would greatly help also iron out the kinks (which there are a few) in the content.
Secondly, this story reminded me a lot of the many stories on Wattpd before the company placed money generating writers above the many members and its readers. I like the premise of the story because a lot of time the stories on Wattpad were never finished and there aren’t any published books with this type of story line.
Third, the sex wasn’t that great. Most of them were a few lines to led up to it and barely brushed it all together. They weren’t that steamy and just played a part of having to get it over just to progress the story. It’s sad, but an honest truth.
This lack of detailed experience also followed a lot of the story as well. There was never enough time spent getting to know and feel of these people and their emotions. It just “was” and nothing more. The story jolts and jumps from issue to issue and never really satisfies in the outcome. Even EPILOG 2 (yes, that’s not a typo) leaves a door wide open and the next book doesn’t seem to actually deal with that possible match up.
And despite this Truemate plot device, it sure seems relatively easy to break out of a true mating to pursue another without real emotional turmoil. Just had to have a justifiable reason to leave.
This lead to the last and final point. This story lacks any emotional connection from character to reader. I never felt any grab of anger, sorrow, excitement, anticipation, desperation, or depression while reading this story. I don’t like to compare writer but I will to be clear at my meaning. Take Addison Cain’s “Bound to Be Broken” or her latest “Swallow it Down.” Both elicited the raw emotional turmoil the characters were experiencing. One could feel the tension and desperation in the air and story. The hard determination to escape their captives and tormentors. You felt as though you were there experiencing it. With this book... there’s nothing...
Now I don’t discourage this writer from writing anything again. All I say is keep on writing. Just get an editor and most of these issues will not be a problem for books and stories to come. It has good bones. Just keep at it.
This book was a miserable read. I didn't feel that the characters of Teague, Mina, and Blu really connected. Teague in particular was just all brutish alpha-in-beta position. Frankly put, he uses Mina and Blu for his own ends, as well as the pack alpha's. I found it hard to believe in his supposed love for Mina. Blu is simply pathetic for most of this book. And Mina is caught between this brutality and condescension. I liked her as a character, but I felt she was trapped in these relationships.
Mina is also a teenager in a terrible home life, which her pack does little to nothing to address other than to offer minimal financial support. We really don't understand why they don't do more for her and her siblings, particularly because her family's difficulties are due to her mother and yet the children are judged for that. It made the pack structure look terrible.
And there are a fair number of content warnings to give for adultery, dub con, rape, and more.
Frankly put, I wanted to take a shower after reading this book. And not in a good way. If you want nonchalant sex scenes, characters who use one another rather than care about each other, and a nasty pack structure, Teague's Breeder is for you. But there's shifter romance out there that's, you know, actually romantic. I'd seek that out instead.
I do think the world building could have been a little better during this book but overall it was a pretty fun read. I loved the angst level of the first 50% and the steaminess that it brought to the book. I especially loved the heated scenes with Blu involved. I'm excited to get more from this author now and think I'll jump right into the second book in this series.
it was entertaining, but... TOO long. I found it hard to slug through the last quarter. I didn't much care by then. The world building is shaky. It was an odd combination of super sweet and violent. The super sweet being 2 of the 3 MCs, Blu and Mina. Teague was born mateless. Not really sure what that means... did his mate die as a child or did she/he never exist? Anyways, he leaves home and joins his current pack as the Beta even though he's an Alpha wolf. But he likes the Alpha and chooses to be his Beta. He even mates a bitch (pun intended) who is his mate when the Alpha designates Mina to be his breeder. Mina is in her last year of high school when she finds her mate is Blu, another high school student of well-to-do parents who refuses to acknowledge her as his mate. He is dating the school mean-girl who is in league with his manipulative parents.
Anyways, it's all pretty obvious and yet still mildly entertaining... BUT, also kinda repetitive and predictable. The characters are all pretty shallow and boring. I liked the quasi safety of the Alpha setting up Mina to be Teague's breeder after Blu rejects her. Teague is between a rock and hard place as he will go crazy and die eventually as a mateless male. This means he has no 'true mate'. Yet he is mated to a mean-girl who is about as smart as a hockey puck. To be honest Teague isn't much smarter. Actually they are all about as smart as rocks in a paper bag...
Teague's mate (who is not a true mate) is serial cheater so as the reader, I didn't feel bad when he told her he was using Mina as a breeder. Mina has lived a hard life since her father died and her mother became a drug addict. So being Teague's breeder is a step up on the economic ladder for her which is good since she has two young siblings to care for. Blu does grovel and
There's also drug dealers and slave traffickers in the story. It's all a mess really. Even after over 350 pages, the characters (except for Teague) still feel pretty shallow. I skimmed A LOT in the last 20%.
Did Blu grovel enough? I suppose. I was happy that despite Mina being a pushover, she doesn't forgive him easily.
Intriguing plot and world building. Many typos and the story was a bit confusing in places. I enjoyed the chemistry between the MC’s. I liked the groveling by the mate who did the rejecting. It was an entertaining book overall.
One of the best in this genre. The older H was born mate-less so he's rejected by his family's pack. He's beta in the h's pack. The Alpha has personal issues and lost sight of the the h being bullied for too long. Her mate rejected her but the H adores her. Lots of angst, twists and steam.
This book is long winded and boring in parts. Haven't seem a shifter book who practically rapes another make wolf to force a bond. This book could've been so much better.
DNF @ 40%, and it should have been sooner. I was intrigued by the plot until I actually got deeper into it. I feel for Mina (FMC), and I wasn't so bothered by her as much as I was by her instant attachments. Teague is disgusting. Maybe I've just discovered age gaps of barely consensual age is not my thing by trying this book, but I could not stand the language used surrounding Mina with him. Blu is not worth it. And overall, the writing style is weak, boring, and juvenile.
Genre: Paranormal Romance Type: Standalone book 1 of Not Quite an Alpha series POV: First Person - Multiple Rating:
For years, Mina Dashel struggled through life, and how her truemate, Blu Henness, treated her made it even worse. When she was offered an opportunity to improve her family’s standing, she took it without realizing how involvement with the pack’s Beta, Teague, could complicate everything.
I loved the idea behind this story, especially with the dynamics between the characters, including the side characters. However, my interest dwindled as the technical issues increased and the story plateaued.
Teague’s Breeder is a story of creating one's own happiness. It might appeal to readers who enjoy rejected mate shifter romance.

I really liked this book but there was a lot going on. After a while it lost the growth of the triads relationship and was all about all the drama with other people and situations. It also left a few issues unresolved, like the Nathaniel Meghan Alice drama.
Besides that, I would have liked more time and s e x details between the threesome, more yummy naughty bits instead of starting a scene and the glossing over it until the end or fade to black like some of them did. I would have loved more between the three together or MM.
I do want to say that other reviewers have mentioned more than once that their is r@pe in this story. I really didn’t find that to be the case. Yes their is manipulation of the MMC as he was in a forced and failed mating/relationship at the time, but was convinced to join the breeder program and yes they took advantage of the FMC’s desperate situation to ask her to be in the program but they ALL said yes with eyes open and they ALL wanted it equally if nervously.
Now the Teague and Blu aspect can be considered more of a dubious consent situation because neither was into men before this but because of Blu’s f#€k up they were forced to accept each other in order to be with the FMC equally and fully. So in this regard some may find it non-con but it wasn’t. They both chose to let it happen and they both embraced it almost immediately.
Anyway, the story got pretty muddled after the fifty percent mark with all the other nonsense that was dropped into it but I still enjoyed it and I am looking forward to more by this author. It felt really long too but the next story in this series has a higher page count so idk. Maybe it felt long because of so much happening in it. Idk. Enjoy.
I really wanted to like this book but felt like I didn’t like any of the characters. I made it almost halfway before I had to stop. Both MMC were just so unlikeable and only thought about themselves. In the small moments we see them interact with the FMC which could demonstrate at least some consideration towards her, they’re just so incredibly selfish. It’s always about what they need or feel like they want or deserve. Very little consideration of the FMC.
And the FMC just accepts this abhorrent behavior and it’s not seen as problematic. Teague was literally going to kill Alpha Alexander to get his way and threw a temper tantrum about it at 26 years old! The whole thing seemed incredibly juvenile and treated Mina like a puppet just because he could.
Blue was a selfish POS who became somewhat on the path to redemption but it wasn’t enough to keep me reading. I’ve read plenty of shifter, alpha, omegaverse types books and love me a MMF or RH book but sad to say, the lack of decency to consider the FMCs needs with the supposed strong feelings these characters have for her was disappointing enough for me to DNF.
Maybe someone who doesn’t have an issue with the objectification and complete disregard of the FMC will get further in this story than I did.
This review is especially painful to write because this book elicited such a yearning in me for more, and better. The plot is one I absolutely LOVED, and with such unique ideas in it! But oh my, it is missing so much and edited so poorly. Though there are a few brief steamy scenes most of the time there is a sentence or two/fade to black. I don't mind a FTB book in general but this plot screams for more steam - it is custom made for it! The world-building had SO much potential too, and fell short in several areas. There are tons of errors (I highlighted around 200 and I was tired of it so I know missed some), with most of them coming from improper dialogue capitalization and punctuation. Many readers will not mind this if they love the book, but I'm one of those that stops at 99% of errors so it was extremely distracting for me. All this being said, this was my first book by this author and for all I know it was their first and they have grown since. Like I mentioned, I was so in love with the plot I read all the way through, and I AM still interested in anything else she writes in this world, but I need a break long enough to forget how upset I was reading this one at the lost potential. 2.5 Stars
DNF @10% Thankfully this was in kindle unlimited. I had high hopes for this, i was looking for a good shifter book series. This could have been so good, so much more than it was. With all the 5 star reviews i wondered if i'd got the wrong book
Reasons i stopped reading spelling, editing, Teague Alexander Blu
Teague is a mean a-hole and the a does NOT stand for alpha. He is meant to be a grown adult yet acts like a child. He says he loves Mina but its just words, i doubt he knows what love is. He was absolutely and nothing could make me forgive him for how he spoke about Mina, a 18 year old who was doing the best she could. Much more than the pack was. Oh and he believed that Mina was a whore. And what he did in the school with both Mina and then Blu disgusting.
Alexander, he's a weak alpha and he believed what Blu told him, that Mina was a whore and selling herself for money. Surely an alpha would have been able to smell it on her.
Blu for being a spineless idiot and being gullible and believing that Mina was sleeping around. And rejecting her.
Not one of the characters had any depth or development. There was no world building.

I hate to leave such a low rating but this book was just awful.
The writing was choppy, sloppy and just in general really bad. There were time jumps between sentences, no real character development and the whole book just made me feel uninterested in the characters themselves.
Honestly there is no connection between these characters. Blu grovels and does feel bad for his actions yet Teague practically forced him to mark Mina in her heat and then he marks the both of them, and she isn’t even pissed at him. There is basically non con going on here because Teague touches Blu without his permission and then has sex with him without his permission too. Blu basically allows this whole thing to happen because of his need to be with Mina.
There was so much potential for this plot but it fell incredibly short due to the incredibly bad writing style. I had no feelings for these characters, no feel for their love or bond and honestly I have a headache after reading this one.
This author is definitely not for me if this is the typical writing style.
I’m not usually into RH or MMF or shifter sharing. But this one really grabbed a hold of me and hung on until the end.
The characters are Teague, Blu, and Mina.
Mina has a sad life. Her mom is a drunk and has continues to deteriorate since the death of Mina’s father. Mina is given an allowance from the pack to live off of. It’s very small and she has to be extremely frugal in order to feed her younger brother and sister. The pack sort of looks down on Mina and her family after her mom gambled and drank away the couple million in life insurance that the pack gave her at the death of her mate.
Mina has a true mate, Blu. But he wants nothing to do with Mina. In fact he makes it a point to be seen with his girlfriend, driving home the fact that he will never want Mina.
Teague is the beta of the pack. He is MateLess. He doesn’t have a true mate out there. And even though he is an alpha wolf, more alpha than the packs alpha, he can never be an alpha without a true mate. He was kicked out of his own pack by his father when he first shifted and realized he was MateLess. But Teague has always noticed Mina and he is willing to have her if Blu doesn’t want her.
Problem is, once Teague takes Mina under his wing, Blu starts feeling devastated.
I’ve always been attracted to the rejected mate stories, but where this one stands out from the rest that I’ve read is that the rejector regrets the rejection, like they usually do, but he also gets redemption and he gets to have his HEA with his true mate. That’s what I always want in those types of stories. I want that regret. I want them to feel tortured like their mate felt. But eventually I want them to end up together.
I liked that there was always something interesting going on int their lives besides them finding each other. It gave the story so much more depth.
But one thing I wish would have been fleshed out a little more was the actual relationships between these three. There were hot scenes, but in a way they were rushed and with little to no feeling involved. I would have liked to feel their relationship grow rather than be told they all the sudden loved each other. For that reason I had to drop a star. But it was still a great story and I had a really hard time putting it down.
3.5 stars rounded up. I was honestly upset when I realized that Mina would take Blu back. I wanted her to forget him all together cuz he was the worst. I did however like how it all went down and how she didn’t get over his betrayal right away. It made me happy to see her stay strong and not cave immediately. It continued to be a problem for a little while and it seemed more genuine than instant forgiveness. The storyline was good, but at times it seemed as though I was missing information? Like it skipped a paragraph or two for some reason. It was weird and sometimes names seemed like they were switched and it was odd. Overall I enjoyed the book. Did like the epilogues and how we got two glimpses into the future.
Excellent. It was a bit different than I expected, but I really enjoyed it. (Though a better editor is needed.) I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
2.5 rounded up for keeping my attention. A me thing, menage isn't my trope but I did need to see how it worked out. The age gap with the two still in high school icked me out.
