Agent Emily Ipsy is determined to make a name for herself. That leads to unauthorized shifts and sneaking around. She keeps running into Anthracite, the bartender. If he’s really just a bartender, why is he everywhere—and why can’t she stop thinking about him? Anth is stationed at Olympus Station on assignment from his government. He’s there to do a job, but Emily keeps getting in his way. She’s maddening, distracting, and pure temptation. He needs to keep his eyes on the job and hands off the security agent, but that’s proving impossible. When an old enemy of his people surfaces, he’ll need Emily’s help to find out why Baatesh is there and stop what he’s doing. After working with her at his side, will he ever want to let her go?
Aurelia Skye is the pen name Kit Tunstall uses when writing science fiction romance. It’s simply a way to separate the myriad types of stories she writes so readers know what to expect with each “author.”
Hmm…. How not to get me to buy your books ever again: take a 50 page short story, enlarge the font to the size of product labels and book titles, and call the results a book. Actually, I think if it were published with the standard 10 pt. Times new Roman, it would probably be shorter than that.
Beyond that, the cover was cheesy, the h virtually a stalker, the plot exceedingly thin, and because the intrepid couple had prior knowledge of each other, it was like the last 2 chapters of a book, if you know, the H suddenly decided to introduce himself after being stalked for a year because he “looked suspicious”.
This is part of a trilogy inside the In the Stars Romance series. Station Commander's Surrogate Alien Prince's Secret Baby Security Agent's Alien Bartender Best Title Award, ha!
These are short insta-love tales with a little drama. There could be more heat for my money, but I ain't mad. This third one is more problematic as it gets racial profile-ish and there's some heavy sexual harassment, but if you're reading for scenes, the later ones are actually hotter than in the first two books, so there's that.
