International Bestselling Author Ava Miles’ family series, The Merriams, returns for its finale with two long-lost lovers fighting for a second chance despite the odds—with everyone’s favorite matchmakers along to pave their way.
Quinn recognized Francesca Maroun as his soulmate the moment he met her in grad school.
Of course he did. The Merriams always recognize their soulmates instantly. It just never occurred to him that world events could drive them apart so they wouldn't end up together.
Knowing there was no one else for him, Quinn devoted himself to the family business instead. Since he’s taken the reins of the troubled company, he doesn't have the time to dwell on Francesca—much. But with all his siblings falling in love and marrying, the emptiness of his life stretches before him, lonely and bleak.
But when world events take a turn again, Quinn knows it's now or never. Given that Francesca has become one of the most sought-after business consultants for the Fortune 500, he contacts her to come help him steer Merriams Enterprises clear of disaster.
When Quinn calls her about working with him to right his business, Francesca knows she should say no. She prides herself on what she's built, and working with Quinn offers temptations she doesn't want to feel. But she’s never healed from their shattering break-up, and perhaps this is the opportunity for closure. It's time to move on. What better way than proving to herself that they're over, once and for all?
Except events take a dark turn and threaten to destroy everything they’ve both worked so hard for. Even with the Merriam family at his back (and the matchmaking trio he can always count) he’s not sure there's a solution in sight—for Merriam Enterprises or Francesca and him.

I thought that it was incredibly risky and particularly brave for the author to write about the pandemic and release this book while we are still experiencing it's horrors. However, her message resonates. It was a great ending to a delightful series. And, there is that teaser with two quirky, terrific characters moving over from this book to start another new series in a whole new location! The ever calm, correct, mysterious, man of all trades, the 80-year old butler, Mr. Hargreaves and Francesca's personal assistant, the vibrant, lively Alice. Here's hoping we get to see more of Clara and Arthur to visit, as well as other Merrimans. Looking forward to it. ;)
I'm sad that this is the last book of The Merriam series, but what a fantastic book. When I noticed that Ava Miles had included the corona virus in the storyline I wasn't sure about it. After all, I read to escape stuff like that. However, she did an outstanding job with the way she made it a part of every aspect of the story. Loved the book.
A Breath of Jasmine: The Merriams, Book 6 is by Ava Miles. Unfortunately, I really had a hard time getting into and reading this book. It just wasn’t as interesting as her other books. I simply could not get into the characters of Alice and Francesca. Alice was just too much for a personal assistant. She was too pushy and too opinionated for a personal assistant. Francesca just seemed like a wooden or cold person. She had a job to do and wanted to get the job done and get out of there. There was no warmth coming out of her. Both Alice and Francesca come off cold and aloof; but as you get to know them, it does get a little better. Francesca agrees to help Quinn overhaul his business to avoid bankruptcy. Quinn wants to go back 15 years to when he asked her to marry him; but he refrains. When she agreed to help him, he suggested she and Alice stay at his home with his aunt and Uncle as chaperones. They could work from there without interruption. With the coronavirus pandemic coming, what will happen between Francesca and Quinn? Will they be able to save the family company? I did not particularly like this book at first because it just seemed to drag on and on until the coronavirus hits that it began to more faster and the characters seemed to become alive again.
I had to sit for a day before I could write a review. This is a beautiful ending for an emotional and magical series. The characters in Ava Miles' series feel like friends and family. You can't help but be invested in them and the towns they live in. Amazing love stories dashed with whimsy, humor, angst, and are still relatable. This is Quinn's story. I honestly thought no one could be as hard as Connor, but Quinn gives him a run for his money. Francesca is complex and a perfect compliment for him. The struggle is real and the rewards great. I love the matchmaking trio. The whole family is involved in this story and it adds so much. As well as the Merriams, the characters from Dare Valley appear. I love that we get an update on them as well. The events of reality play a role in this book and it is done in a well written way that brings to light the emotional impact. I laughed, I cried, sighed and smiled. It's an emotional rollercoaster that does justice to the series. The ending is perfect and also sets things up for a new upcoming series. I can't wait for more of Alice and Hargreaves!

This is the final book in This Merriams Series with Quinn being the only child still to find his love it’s time for Clara and Arthur to work their magic.
Quinn and Francesca met and fell in love at grad school but Francesca’s overbearing father put a swift end to the romance, 15 years later and with the Merriams business in trouble Quinn brings Francesca in as in independent consultant to try and save the company and to also see if he can win back the heart of his true soulmate.
Just as they work a way to restructure the company the corona virus falls across the world bringing devastation to everyone, with the company falling apart quickly and Francesca’s father dealing another blow this is a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat with your tissues at hand.
"I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own."
Every book just keeps getting better. I am so in love with Ava Miles writing.
I have read all of her series and truly the books get better ever time. I love how you fall for the characters and I feel like I am right there in the story with them.
This is the last book in the Merrium series, which is bitter sweet because I want more. The book is about Quinn Merrium and his journey to his soulmate. Quinn is tasked with the problems of the family business, needing to be resturctured to survive. Quinn meet his soul mate 15 years before but it didn't work out. Now he needs her help to save the family's business and while they work on that, he is hoping to win her back.
This is a wonderful book and even brings in some of the craziness we are currently facing with COVID mentions, which surprised me and was actually nice.
This is the final book in This Merriams Series and it is Quinn and Francesca's story and what a story it is and what a way to end this Amazing Series. Quinn and Francesca met at grad school and Quinn fell hard and fast for her right from the start but things didn't work out as planned. Years later and Quinn needs Francesca to help save his family business as she is the best at what she does but will she give in to temptation of keep her distance so she doesn't get hurt yet again. Wow there are many twists and turns but that is what makes this book a real page turner and a must read. When you read one of Ava's books you know that you are in for a real treat as she is an amazing author and writer and her books are definitely worth reading. I voluntarily reviewed an Arc copy of this book.
A Breath of Jasmine by Ava Miles is the last book in The Merriams series and definite must read if you love second chance romances. Quinn recognized Francesca as his soul mate years ago when they met in grad school, but had no idea that world events would pull them apart. However when once again events put them in a situation where they can work together Quinn intends on making the most of it. Have too many years and hard feeling made it impossible or will they be able to find a second chance at love? I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more by this author in the future.
I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.
I was glad to get Quinn's story. He has missed Francesca for 15 years. She let him go all those years ago and now he needs her to help him save his company. She knows she needs to make amends, so she agrees to help him. She has missed and loved him all these years too. Quinn is going to do everything he can to win her back and save his company. With the help of his family, he thinks he can do both until tragedy strikes and everything changes. Will Francesca stay this time? It has been a long journey for them and they have a few storms to weather. Can they do it?
Quinn and Francesca were meant to be. Only time and circumstances will provide the avenue to “make” it happen. Quinn has always know that Francesca was his soulmate (the Merriams always know). Now just to get the stars aligned to make it happen.
When the business takes a turn can Quinn convince Francesca to join forces with him to turn things around? Can they put aside the past and focus on the future? Love always finds a way.....or can their love be destroyed in the blink of an eye?

This is the sixth and last book of The Merriams series. I have not read all the books in this series, but I have read enough to know this is one series not to be missed. This was a brilliantly written second chance romance story that was quite relatable given what the current situation is. I enjoyed following Francesca and Quinn's story. Their romance was heartfelt and touching and they made a great couple. I'm sad to see this series end, but I'm looking forward to whatever Ms. Miles has planned next!

I don't know about any one else but when reading fiction , especially romance , I prefer not to read about today's tragic headlines. We get enough of that in our non-fiction world. I read for entertainment.... To escape briefly. Ms. Miles felt the need to bring the Covid-19 virus into this ,otherwise ,romantic story line. Ugh! I couldn't finish the book. Three stars for her writing ability and I felt that generous, her "soulmate" series is verging on redundant. Probably won't venture into another.
The Merriams corporation has real problems when the Covid outbreak strikes just as their world wide dynasty is reeling from the tanking stock Market. Aunt Clara and uncle Arthur Hale along with her faithful butler Hargreaves, come to the rescue in another matchmaking success. Fortunately the family has a lovely inn in Ireland so they have a refuge to last out the ravaging Covid! Some tragic deaths but so much celebration with several weddings and joy as the family overcomes to renew again! Ava is so descriptive , it's almost like being there yourself!
Quinn and Francesca's story was set in current times and gave a unique perspective of how Covid affects us all. We got a business perspective of the ramifications and impact internationally. As such, this story has an underlying sadness penetrating the characters. It's interesting to hear ways they distract each other from the mundane living while in the midst of a lockdown. When family and friends close to them die as a result of coronavirus, their view of the lives ahead changes. Can they change along with it?
I thoroughly enjoyed this final match making chapter in the lives of this generation of Merriams (even though I started the book with a touch of sadness). However, I do now have hope of encountering various Merriams in the next series. As we all struggle to get our lives back on a somewhat “normal” path, this story reminds us to keep our loved ones close and to be sure they know how much we value them.
This is a great conclusion to Ava Miles’ series: The Merriams. It is at times funny, heart-warming, and cry out loud sad, but I feel it is one of Ava’s best. It deals with real life issues in today’s world: Covid-19 and makes a person take another look at how to view the world’s events happening now. I recommend this book for everyone who enjoys reading about a couple finding their HEA.

I was a little apprehensive to start reading because I knew the current world events would be featured and I didn’t want to live that anxiety and feelings while reading, but I shouldn’t have worried. It had a positive outlook, with so much love and hope. Who doesn’t need a good infusion of that now a days. I love this family. They were all there for the last book in all their glory. Highly recommend it.
If you have been following this series from the beginning you will know Quinn is the last of the Merriams to get his story. I cried. I cried because it's the last book but also because the story pulled at me. I can always count on Ava to give me all the feels and a story that will have me picturing myself there. I can't say too much but along with those emotional moments and suspense we get some fun, sexy, lighthearted ones as well.
I really enjoyed this book even though it touched on what is currently going on in our world. Once again Arthur, Clara and Hargreaves are called in to help with match making. Amelia's news story will break you heart. I totally enjoyed Quinn' s story! I only wish Alice and Hargreaves chocolate shop was in Dare Valley, can you imagine Jill and Alice together! Thanks Ava!
This was a hard and interesting book to read. I have enjoyed this series about the stern
I have enjoy this series by Ava Mills. The love of family and friends give us the strength to continue each day. I found this book hard at times to read. Reliving 2020 through this story also made me remember how blessed I am with my family and friends for giving love and hope and strength to each other.
Loved the series until I got to this book. I feel like this book should’ve come with a trigger warning. Covid is still way too fresh in many peoples minds. Especially, if you’ve lost somebody from the virus. Having Covid is one of the obstacles in this story really did not appeal to me. We are still making our way through this virus. Maybe 10 years down the road I could have enjoyed reading this book. However, right now I found it very challenging to even get through this book.
The end of a series is always bittersweet! Ava Miles series about the Merriams was as endearing as her series about the Hales! The adventures of the matchmaking trio Arthur Hale, Clara Merriam Hale and Clifton Hargreaves are heartwarming! I love these series because each story focused on a specific family member’s story but also included the other members of the family! You find yourself laughing and sometimes crying with the characters!!
What a spectacular way to finish this series! This one hooks up Quinn with his lost love, Francesca. Unfortunately, the accursed COVID virus strikes fear into everyone and how they bond together as a family. Also, the impact the virus makes on several of the characters. I am looking forward to the next spinoff series. Ava consistently writes outstandingly rich novels about families that are totally a pleasure to read. Kind of sad to see it end. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
This is a love story or rather the continuation of a love story during the Pandemic. It clearly portrays the angst and uneasiness in our minds at this time. Ava Miles has gathered all of our worries and helped us overcome them with this book that embraces family be it by blood or love. Great book.
Ava Miles’s books are always great, but this is the first one of any kind that I’ve read that has used COVID-19 as a valid and intriguing plot. This may be my favorite one in all of her multiple series that she’s done and I look forward to her future books outside of the original Dare Valley and Dare River families.
This book is the final book in Ava Miles Mirriam series. This book was a joy to read. It includes life quarantine events and the love that is almost lost......again. Set in the US and Ireland, it brings us back to the lives of the Mirriam family. This is the story of Quinn and Francesca. They met so many years ago and knew they were soul mates from the beginning . Is that enough to rekindle the fire? Will family come between them?
This book was very emotional for me. I read it every chance I could and shed a few tears over it. As usual Ava Miles wrote a beautiful don’t-put-it-down book. I highly recommend this book to anyone struggling with the uncertainty of these times. Beautifully written.
An uplifting story about love and family during this pandemic. Ms. M8iles once again brings laughter, love and some tears with a heart tugging story. Although this is the last in this series I am anxious and excited for her next adventure and crossing fingers it comes quickly.
The sixth book in The Merriams series a well written story that grabbed my interest from the start. Quinn Merriam and Francesca Maroun's story of their ups in downs in the time of the coronavirus, with Arthur and Clara at it again.Looking forward to reading the new series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
