The Place Between Here and There: A True and Beautiful Near Death Experience

Rate this book
Come with an open mind and be prepared for an incredible account of a near-death experience that is like no other. There is a place beyond this one – a place where we learn about our immortality, the reasons for life and death, and the wisdom of the Universe. It is a place where we meet the beings that have attained mastery, sync with the Akashic records, and reunite with our loved ones and pets. It is a place where we learn what love really is, understand that we were always directed with signs and synchronicities, and review our lives with enlightened awareness. It is a place where we learn to forgive, to love unconditionally, and to see the magic in all that happens during our Earth life. It is a place that teaches us how to live in this challenging world and to do so blissfully, joyfully, and completely. This place is called The Place Between Here and There.Enjoy a fascinating account of this place given by the author Stephen Weber, who spent three weeks there after experiencing a near-fatal motorcycle accident. This trip to the realm of all love and light changed a once non-spiritual biker into a now-spiritual teacher. Along with an account by his partner, Katherine Plant, who will discuss how she visited him in this place as her higher self, you will learn how communication between spiritual realms is possible and encouraged. If you are grieving from a heartbreaking loss of a loved one, this book may help you find peace. If you are wondering if all you see here on Earth is all that is, this book may show you that life and love never to end. If you are looking to embark on a spiritual journey, this book may be the first rung on the life-changing ladder of enlightenment.

Catherine This is not a usual NDE read such as "going through the tunnel" or "toward the light". It is a remarkable and factual account of a soul's journey through the afterlife and the valuable lessons learned while there.

Erica This book is beautifully written and grabs you from the very beginning. Steve's story and spiritual journey is so moving and inspiring you won't want to put the book down. If you or someone you know is grieving a loved one, this book is a blessing. For me, I can't get enough of NDE stories and what happens to people when they return. One thing I know for sure is we don't have to have an NDE to benefit from those who've been 'between here and there' to reap the benefits of what they've experienced and learned. Highly recommend this book!

Lisa An absolute must read! This book is a testament to life, love, lessons, and life after earth. A truly amazing and real experience journey through life as we know it and a place between here and there. If you are a believer of signs and synchronicities, you will find great affirmations here. If you are not, this story will heighten your awareness to them. This is a book you will surely want to read more than once. I just finished the Kindle version and will now be ordering a few paperbacks for gifts

Bob I was finding it hard to not feel depressed during this current health and economic crisis. My wife gifted me your book, “The Place Between Here and There”, because she thought it would make me feel better. I read late into the night. This morning, there is sunshine. I feel a new strength and see with a bigger perspective. I just want to say the book is tremendous and will fascinate and help so many people for years to come. There are many people I am excited to share this with, people in my family who will benefit greatly from this book, and I will proudly pass this gift along to everyone.

Helpful Book

I liked and was comforted by many parts of this book. My son was recently very hurt in an accident and was sedated and unconscious for many days. I was concerned about what he might be experiencing in that state, and Stephen's experiences gave me some insight and hope, as did other things both he and Kathy wrote about in this book. I gave it four stars because it went so deeply into metaphysical teachings and practices and lost me. However, those may be great pluses for others.

Right off the top I wanted to read this book, primarily because of the title, it was very interesting to me, and the cover pulled me in as well; I love beautiful scenery. This book is so well written, and it kept my attention so that it was hard to take breaks in between. I was picturing the events in my head as I was reading through the book, it was very interesting. I know there is a GOD in Heaven and Jesus Christ is the only way to enter in. I hope everyone will come to realize that and receive Him as well; if you do, then I will see you there!

This was a great personal and touching experience. I am so glad it was shared with the rest of the world in a book. Steve's motorcycle accident, near death experience, and the loss of his child changed his life forever, but thanks to Kathie he was able to rebuild himself into a stronger spiritual person. There is no doubt they were meant to be together, after all they have been through. I wish them a good future and compliment them both on a well-written book. I highly recommend giving it a read.

i really loved this book.

the writing style, playful and collaborative, was the perfect thing for the topic. i’ve read several NDE books and i found this one easiest to integrate, both mentally and spiritually, because it was so fun and easy to read (even when the topics were tough).

i grew up in the area, so it was awesome to hear about the spiritual community on the north shore in locations i’ve been to frequently.

the personalities of the authors came through, and i feel like if i ran into them, i would be so comfortable to open a real conversation with them.

so inspiring that this was accomplished (written, produced and distributed) during covid. it is so fresh and feels so good.

thank you thank you for sharing your story. 🙏♥️

This book is incredible! I’ve read almost every NDE book out there, but this one is the most detailed and life changing ones I have ever read. So much wisdom from the other side which can help any one navigate through life and know that we are always connected to loved ones that have passed and always connected to spiritual beings who guide us in this life and in our eternal life. I’m getting this book for all my friend and relatives. I wish everyone could read it. The world would be a better place if everyone could live with the peace and love described in this book.

A NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCE THAT LED TO A SPIRITUAL AWAKENING

Coauthor Stephen (‘Steve’) Weber wrote in the first chapter of this 2020 book that after his motorcycle was struck by a truck, “I was lying face up on the roadway, and an emergency worker was administering first aid to me… everything faded to black again. My next recollection was that I was rising up through the clouds and was able to look down at the accident scene… I could see my beautiful brand-new Harley in pieces laying on the ground… I was slipping into a peaceful state, and in my own way, I accepted the new reality that I was dying. I was ready to surrender to the experience. Then, suddenly… I was actually descending the clouds and approaching the ground… I had been airlifted to one of the best trauma centers in the United States… Emergency surgery was performed at least twice to stop the internal bleeding… For the next few weeks, I was kept in a medically induced coma… On the outside, I was laying in my hospital bed, but on the inside, I was in another place, a place that I have come to know as ‘The Place Between Here and There.” (Pg. 16-19)

He continues, “By ‘here,’ I mean Earth, and by ‘there,’ I mean Heaven. ‘The place between’ is like a way station, or what the Catholics would call Purgatory, but it is not a place of condemnation and punishment. It is a place of beautiful opportunities for soul growth prior to transitioning into Heaven or coming back to Earth… While in The Place Between Here and There, you review your life on Earth, and you have opportunities to learn from all of your experiences because every experience has a meaning… My experience… was centered around three locations which were significant in my life… Each time I gained awareness, I went back to look at my life with my new awareness and could see how I could make things better, how I felt at the time, how others felt at the time, and what every experience meant.” (Pg. 20-21)

He explains, “We choose to come to Earth to have these experiences in the physical world for soul growth and enlightenment, since in the spiritual world… we cannot learn by experience/ Earth life… is the one in which soul growth happens most rapidly. Therefore, we cannot have animosity to those who do us harm or challenge us, for they sometimes teach us the most valuable lessons of our lives… Therefore, we also cannot have animosity towards ourselves either… any past discretions … are also valuable lessons for our soul growth… I realized that all of the ‘bad’ things that happened, were actually beneficial and necessary for my soul’s growth…” (Pg. 22-24)

He continues, “The second lesson I learned in this place was how to recognize the spirit in everyone and everything… The next lesson I learned occurred when I began to see the spirit in everything. Everything has a spirit… The dogs had spirits; the cats had spirit… I began to see spirit, not only in the humans but, in the plants, in the planets, in the animals---in everything… we are all connected and part of everything… our consciousnesses join to become the one consciousness of God, the All That Is, the Creator.” (Pg. 24-25)

He goes on, “Therefore, we must not fear a punishing God who would condemn us for our ‘evil’ acts. Whatever we did in life… was meant to help our soul experience and grow… Another important lesson I learned is that no one religion has domination over the other, since we are all here on different paths which lead to the same destination---the divine Christ consciousness, similar to Buddha consciousness, Krishna consciousness, and Yahweh consciousness… there is an ability to communicate with those who have crossed into The Place Between Here and There and those who have crossed into Heaven. Everyone can speak to their departed loved ones or those in altered states of consciousness.” (Pg. 28-29) He adds, “there are people in spirit that help us while we are on Earth… we have spirit guides that are with us throughout our lifetime… Therefore, it is beneficial to seek assistance when on Earth and speak to our higher self, spirit guides, saints, angels, and ascended masters.” (Pg. 31)

He recounts, “As I was recovering in rehab, I started to think about the lady [in the NDE]… Hers was a spirit with whom I was quite familiar. I knew it was my good friend Kathie. I felt the connection when I saw her higher self in The Place Between Here and There… and I wanted to talk to her.” (Pg. 38-39)

Katherine (‘Kathie’) then recalls, “[The passings of her mother and twin brother] affected me so deeply that I felt as though my soul would be permanently shattered… I needed to find a way to communicate with them. I begged my mom for a sign… It did not take long for mom to appear to me in a visitation… Once I knew that I could communicate with my mom, I knew that I could receive messages from other deceased loved ones too… I also learned to get messages from saints, angels, and spirit guides on a regular basis.” (Pg. 47) She adds, “after my mom passed, I also read a lot of books about near-death experiences… They all confirmed that there is a continuation of consciousness that occurs when souls exit physical existence.” (Pg. 49) She also recounts having communicated with Steve while he was still in coma.” (Pg. 51)

Kathie began to visit a psychic names Angela: “The funny thing is… Steve was still claiming that all of the messages … were mere coincidences---that perhaps psychics can … go on Facebook and research their clients… Angela was such a well-respected psychic and my good friend. Steve not accepting this spirit communication was just maddening.” (Pg. 69-70) In the following chapter, Steve admits, “Since I grew up during a time when the Scientific Method ruled… I was a natural skeptic… Having communicated with Kathie while I was in the coma, having learned lessons that I have found were shockingly similar to lessons other people learned during their near-death experiences… I was now a firm believer in the continuation of consciousness, in the power we have in our own divinity…” (Pg. 74-75) They both began taking a class in Kundalini Yoga (Pg. 84-86),

Kathie explains, “I must kick myself for doubting Steve’s law of attraction ability to manifest total recovery. After all, I read ‘The Secret,’ and I know that positive thoughts create a positive reality. My own personal experiences proved that.” (Pg. 95)

Steve recounts attending a Sat Nam Fest, where he met yoga teacher Jai Dev Singh: “After Jai Dev’s workshop. I spent a great deal of time meditating on the five blue ethers… The first blue ether is the stage in which the individual’s experiences are synced with the Akashic record [which] is a compendium of all human events, thoughts, words, emotions, and intention ever to have occurred in the past, present, or future… At first glance, this seemed implausible… That would be an implausibly vast amount of information… I began to realize that syncing to the Akashic record was exactly what had happened [in his NDE]. It was not that I was receiving all of the minutiae of the Universe… but the knowledge itself… Basically, I downloaded the wisdom of the Universe, and I shared my wisdom with the Universe.” (Pg. 108-110)

Kathie summarizes, “Steve laughs when he says that if the guy he was ten years ago me the guy he is today, he would beat the cr_p out of him. The guy who once donned Harley Davidson clothing, listened to heavy metal music, and frequented bars… was now wearing white, going to yoga, exclusively listening to ancient mantra music in Sanskrit, and replaced his carnivore diet with tofu, bean burgers, and vegan cheese. What a radical difference. Steve and I plan on hosting more workshops on The Place Between Here and There, and writing more books. It is our sincerest desire to … use higher awareness to achieve bliss while here on Earth.” (Pg. 133-134)

This book will interest those interested in Near-Death Experiences with a metaphysical/New Age focus.

Very Calming

I am a retired physician who had the fortune to have a patient with a NDE. The irony was that I am sure that I would have missed the whole thing if it were not for very sensitive nurse. I was blown away at this patient’s description. All this occurred in the ER, where I had been called to see this patient after his successful resuscitation. My estimate is that he had been pulseless for at least 15 minutes before the ambulance arrived. I examined the patient and ordered routine tests such as a chest ray. The patient told me he had not wanted to come back.

Throughout the afternoon, various tests results were reported to me, including that he had had blood cot in his lung, which probably triggered his cardiac arrest. More concerning, was the presence of multiple tumors throughout the body. Tumors predispose a patient to have blood clots.

That night, after office hours, I told the patient of the grave-terminal diagnosis and surprisingly he smiled and seemed to handle it all, better than I. I was on call for weekend, it happened on a Friday, and every time I went into the room there always lots of family and friends present and I must say a very festive atmosphere. I saw the patient on both Saturday and Sunday, all things seemed stable. Around 10 pm, I was called to say that he had died. Of course, there was no resuscitation. The nurse reported that the family remained happy as their father and friend had prepared them well re the physical but spiritual aspect of his passing.

I read about 3/4 of this book then gave up. The first chapter was the only one chapter of interest as it was more along the lines of what I was looking for....the NDE itself. The description of the NDE felt very rushed though but I kept reading hoping it would provide a more exhaustive description of the experience later.... or if nothing else, more thoughts on the meaning of those moments. However, I was let down.

I was annoyed by the narrative from the author's wife because I wanted more about the NDE rather than her thoughts on him or her spiritual interpretations. If the interpretations had been been from a professional or spiritual leader, that would have been different. Then the book started to feel like a pitch for yoga and spiritual beliefs that I just wasn't interested in.

Having said all of that, the authors life story is interesting.... I just would have like to have more of him and less of the wife. It felt like a memoir of sorts with a slight nod to the NDE. The title had me believing I would read more about the NDE - which is what I was actually hoping for....

Comforting for a newly grieving mother.

I have been in search of a true read that could help me through the horrific grief of suffering the loss of my daughter. The author was right stating "this is not a club anyone wants to be a part of." The title drew me to this very enlightening story and I felt fan immediate connection to the author's neighborhood as I raised my family in the next town, Commack, L.I. I had many more associations; such as taking my children to the same "bluff" and watching sunsets at Sunken Meadow beach; having my son play ice hockey for Kings Park: often being hospitalized at Stony Brook Hospital, and then both my beloved daughter and myself graduating from their Social Work Masters Degree Program. All of these related occurrences made me feel as if I was "suppose" to read this!. This book answered the many questions that keeps a mother up every night crying out to her lost child and praying to hear something from somewhere, somehow. My deepest gratitude to these amazing authors!

Thanks for sharing your story. I love books like this that give insight to the place inbetween heaven and earth. Would have loved more details of all that he saw, but comforting to know that love continues after we leave this world and go back home.

A sweet story

While I initially thought this would read like a near death book -- giving more in depth information about what the other side is like, what I read actually told me more. This is a near death story as well as a sweet love story. Love this book.💓💓
