Yes, Sienna Power!

Loved this was a Sienna story. The storyline line was on point. Always trying to make her alone and it just makes her stronger. I never want this series to end. It puts me through all kinds of emotions. I can't wait till the next read. Like Run Riot, but Meltdown works also.

I love this series so much

Sienna may not always do what I think she should, but the author is amazing at keeping me in suspense and keeping me on my toes. I can not wait until the next book. I'm so glad I haven't had to wait on the first 40 because I sure read them all back to back. Come on girl. You got this!

Home sweet not welcomed home

Nothing says welcome home like a suppressant dart in the chest. What a homecoming indeed. This was not exactly the homecoming Sienna envisioned. Talk about hitting a girl while she's down. Not only does she spend a great deal of time in this book being powerless, but then Harry chose this moment to exit stage right. Reed and the team (what's left of the team that is) are gone on a mission, Kat left and won't even talk to Sienna, and then a blast from the past turns up very unexpectedly asking for help. Not to mention the "hospitality" from the good old state of Minnesota. Sienna quickly find herself in a position with no powers and very little help. Talk about being between a rock and a hard place. Sienna is in a kind of dark place with no one to fall back on. All Sienna wants to do is play by the rules like everyone wants of her, but now, it seems like to little too late. Minnesota changed the rules. You are always supposed to be able to come home, but what happens when home doesn't want you back?
All in all, another exciting book by Mr. Crane. I'm nervous, scared and excited for the next book to come out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sienna wants to relax in her home state...others have different wants including the governor
Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2020
Sienna wants to relax in her home state...others have different wants including the governor. From the opening page Sienna is on the defensive which never ends. Wants from the governor, the president, meta-human mafia and even her dog all want something from our heroine bad-ass who is always willing to help and protect those who can't protect themselves. This time we have new antagonist popping up seemly out of the blue and others who Sienna thought were abolished for good. Thus is the scene set for Sienna to which she must overcome to survive to live another day. Of course Mr. Crane's everlasting cliffhangers keep us the readers begging for more.

Sienna comes of age. Powerless finds a new power.

If you are a follower of the series there will be a subtle change in tone to this book. Very enjoyable, this a shift to the side.

As mentioned in the end of book 39 the local government is planning a ban of meta gums activity and suspect number one is Me Nealon. No prizes as to where the "powerless" comes in to play in the story. The feel of this book is more grown up, more actions have consequence. Same level of swear and gore, defo YA level, that only serves to enhance the book. Not a fast reader like some out there, but ones started i stormed thru it, could not stop till done.

Could be read as a stand alone book as all explained, but recommend the whole seeies, a ride worth taking if you enjoy sci fi , fantasy, super power stuff. Twelve out of ten for this latest edition.

What do you do with a problem like Sienna?

...take away her powers, apparently. Which isn't really a spoiler since it's the title of the book.

This book saddened me, but mainly because of the departure of a character I absolutely love. An old face shows up unexpectedly, and Sienna once again goes from having nothing to do to balancing the entire world and the kitchen sink on her shoulders.

This still feels like the calm before the storm after the rollercoaster ride that was Control, but there's plenty going on and sometimes seeing how Sienna deals with being ordinary is more exciting than having her go all-guns-blazing with a huge suite of abilities.

And the cliffhanger this ends on will definitely have you salivating for Meltdown. Good job, Robert!

You know, I thought that maybe, just maybe, Sienna would get a bit of a break, after everything she went through in the last wider series arc.

WRONG!!!

Although it's not really more of the same. Don't misunderstand, there are the big baddies, there's the standard suspicion and oversight from others.

But this feels worse. Closer to home. More personal and more difficult to see a way through.

With everything that happens, Sienna's state of mind by the end, is hardly surprising.

That cliffy though? Nice work Mr Crane. Very nice.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Powerless(The Girl in the Box Book40)

wow, I've made it through all 40 of these books now. I think at this point I am just feeling like Siena is never going to be aloud to have the time to just be happy or to be able to have the time to connect with her family and friends in a way where she can be truly comfortable I her relationships with any of them. The books are incredible, I guess I'm just feeling sorry for Siena, Reed, Harry heck the whole lot of them and it looks like it's only going to go down hill from here for the gang. A+Author,I wouldn't pass up his work.

Sienna finds herself protecting two people, one being her old dog, Owen. He owes for gambling debts and she learns it's to her old nemesis Omega that has secretly reformed its organization. Making matters harder, Minnesota's governor has started new suppressant protocols in her bid to rid her state of metas, target number one being Sienna. It was frustrating how many times she was rendered powerless in this one, she gets treated so unfairly. I was also sad Harry took off & based on what he says about the future, I am really worried where the story is going.

The best, so far...

I thought the series as finished but this episode sets us up for many more future stories. With everyone against her, she still plays nice to the authorities, and merciful to her opponents, mostly. People that read these books must enjoy the fact that Sienna Nealon is not only powerful and savage, but saviour of the right and just. Most of us would just wipe out our enemies if we had her powers, so frustrating that she doesn't stomp on them.

Definitely not what I expected

OK so this book was really good. But they were definitely some aspects about the story that bothered me, especially the twist at the end. I won’t spoil it for those reading the review, but it definitely left me with questions about the future of these stories. And I really was hoping Siana would catch some breaks but apparently not. Either way, I did enjoy this book and I can’t wait for the next one.

Boom!

Wow, Powerless is a bumpy ride through hell! The gang is back together, but their paths are scattered. Throw in some goomba metas & you've got a recipe for a disaster of Sienna proportions. All that, only to be left hanging. Well played RJC, well played!

Sienna is at it again

Sienna is home but home is anything but. Old and new foes, and Minnasota's governor wants her in the cube or gone. Life turned upside down freedom from the government is anything but freedom.

Great series

The fact that I am still reading this series after 40 books speaks for itself. I usually start to lose interest if it hasn’t come to a conclusion somewhere around book 15. I recommend this series. The author has a wicked wit that I think everyone will enjoy.

Oh Sienna…

As always Robert continues to enthrall me with Sienna’s sarcasm and wit in the face of bullshit!! I love it! I feel as if he wrote this series about myself. I relate to her in so very many ways! Highly recommended to those that appreciate a twisted humor.

This series took a turn I wasn't expecting. Hometown betrayal. Actually betrayals on all sides. Definitely a must read. Exceptionally good.

Keep them coming.

In typical RJC fashion, it left us wanting more. This book recounts a lot from past books, which makes me want to go re read them.
