I'm loving getting to know Persie and Genie. Love their friendship Genie is definitely going to bring more out of Persie as the books go on. I love how it has a different look on purge beasts and seeing persies in a different light. Love the little critters so funny I wanted some. I can't wait to get to know more of leviathan aswell he confuses me. Wow Nathan sounds delightful hope Genie gives in, want to see more of that. Brilliant book wanted more. Looking forward to the next one.

The Persie Merlin series is definitely my favorite series of the 3. I thoroughly enjoyed Harley Merlin and all her adventures, friends and even her enemies. Reading the Finch Merlin stories was sort-of okay, but by the end of that series I was ready to move on. I almost decided not to get Book 18, the first of the Persie Merlin series. So delighted I decided to see what Harley's children were like.

This book was wonderful. Why because best friends, Persie and Genie, are different. They are young, anxious to be on their own and fearless. Persie seems to be the first human being to purge Beasts. Moire important, she recognizes their uniqueness and personalities. In this book she purges dozens of Pixies who are mischievous, alert, aware beings. Persie can't abide putting them in boxes to power the beastiary. She dreams about how she would feel if she were in a glass enclosed box with no communication. When Magicals, including her best friend, Genie, disappear she calls upon her Pixies to help her find and return them.

This book has humor, mystery and a gigantic imagination. I couldn't put it down. Can't wait for the next book in the series.

This was probably the weakest of the whole series so far for me. I like Nathan's character but I think Forrest struggled to really find his voice. I know that he's supposed to be scholarly but it's coming off as like reading an academic paper instead of a human being speaking. It was just a little too clunky for me and took me out of the scene.

I really loved the pixies, however. They've got so much personality, I really hope they make another appearance.

I think Forrest's writing really shines when she's giving a voice to the likes of Finch and Genie; people with a bit of sass. I'm looking forward to seeing what Persie is really capable of. Right now she's just sort of being a passenger in this journey. I'm looking forward to getting to know more of the extended family and what's been going on with the next generation of Muppet Babies.

Onward to the next one!

When your best friend disappears what should you do?

I've decided that I love Persie Merlin even more than I enjoyed the earlier books about her parents and uncle. In this story she purges Pixies and manages to befriend them. Persie and Genie, her best friend, have gained their independence by being accepted to a school to train to learn to hunt Beasts to power the covens. But life is nothing like their expectations. I love them, their spirit and their adventures. This series is my new favorite. I had almost decided to stop partway through the Finch Merlin books. So glad I continued, because this is the best.

Pretty creative story

Persie thinks she is going to learn to hunt and control the monsters she purges, but she and the whole institute learn ever so much more about both monsters and themselves. These books are supposed to be for young adults, but this old lady is enjoying them too. So I would recommend the who!d series to young adults and the young at heart.

What I like best is that it has a happier ending than most of the stories. So far, no evil human villain has made the scene, but it's early yet.

Read all the series and loved them all!

These books are never the same they always have twists and turns which makes it more like my type of book for you can not always predict what is happening. The one problem is I red them faster than they come out which then I have to read the series agian( for the run of it) and also they could do to be longer for I am a good reader and it takes a 2 hours to read around 400 pages average.

Spoiler alert: I had originally planned to give this book 3 stars but then Bella F. for once concluded a plot without dragging it out into umpteen books! The wisp storyline was thankfully resolved by the end of the book & showed some character growth in the main protagonists. And of course the story expanded on the other missing persons plot that the readers were previously introduced to. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Interesting take from the Merlin Gang

This book has taken an interesting point on the magical world we have come to love through Harley and Finch's stories. The first book of the new characters is always a little slow for me to read through. You get so attached to previous characters. The framework was laid for an awesome new team, and I can't wait to learn more about the characters and the mysterious disappearances.

Another nerve wracking adventure with friends from Bella Forrest!

Persie & Genie set out to learn new things far from home, but life is never simple. The magical would remains wonderful believable, in this series due to the grounded nature of the characters. I am already looking forward to the next book.

Absolutely brilliant...

Another brilliant book by Bella. I love this series of books and this 3rd season has not disappointed. Can't wait to delve into the next book while I'm waiting for the next shade of vampire book by Bella. She really is an amazing writer and I love all her books. Would definitely recommend reading this series.

There is laughter waiting.

I have been enjoying the Merlin family series from the first one. The stories flow nicely, sometimes predictable but always entertaining. The door to no where didn't disappoint either. The comedy was great fun. Making it a delight to read. Looking forward to the next book in Persie's story.

Get ready for another adventure with Persie and CO.

Persie is really starting to find her own two feet despite her magical disability if you want. There’s great characters to build on. A beautiful setting. Fantastic escapism!

Scary and exciting magic

I love these stories. It's fun reading about the new characters and how they act and what kind of powers they have. I wonder who Nathan is going to end up with. Both Persie and Genie like him and I'm sure he likes both of them. Anticipation!

Fantastic story continues

The saga continues with the next generation. Perdue Merlin proves that she is more than capable of overcoming the odds, even though Perdue doesn't have any 'normal' magical powers.

Lovely

This was a nice book that had an ending that if I was not to read anymore in the Persie Merlin story I would be happy. But I know there is more to come so I can't wait to see what is next.

I am so in awe of Bella Forrest - the imagination this woman has is priceless.

The most captivating characters in this book are a band of pixies! That's all I'm gonna say about them as saying anymore would ruin the story for anyone who hasn't gotten this far in the series yet.

I found this a boring and a book in which the author has said it all before. It made me stop reading it a lot over a number of months. I always like to finish what I begin so I finished it for new year ,my advice is don't bother to read this rubbish.
