Warriors of the Augur Nebula #3

Guardian of Her Desire

Rate this book
Sara knows she's not beautiful like her famous mother. But Sara also knows she has intelligence and leadership that can help her survive on this strange new planet. She's worked hard to help build a sustainable, safe, and supportive community for a group of women who have already been through so much. Her mission is clear... and no handsome alien prince is going to screw it up, even if he is an expert in seduction.

Prince Kast doesn't care much for humans. In fact, he doesn't care much for anyone who isn't a Xalke. But if these humans can give him and the other princes children, they need to be convinced to come back to the city. He tracks them through the prairies of Jahull with a clear plan: charm and disarm these women. Show them that the city life can offer far more than this backward little farm house. And bring them back to be paired off as breeders.

But when Kast lays his eyes on Sara, everything changes. The pair bond is brutal, forceful, and instantaneous. Will Kast fight against his instincts, and continue to see himself as superior to his partner? Or will Sara convince him to see the true capabilities of humanity?

This is the third book in the Warriors of the Augur Nebula series by Juniper Kerry. It features pair bonding romance, steamy romance sequences, and a guaranteed HEA.

Juniper Kerry has been reading romance since she was twelve, and mistakenly took one of her mother's books to summer camp with her. Since then, she has been hooked on romance of all kinds, but she has a particular penchant for science fiction, supernatural, and OV romance. Who doesn't love a monster with a heart?

Juniper has a degree in English literature and anthropology from Smith College, as well as an MA from Simmons University. She lives in Massachusetts with her husband, two young boys, and lazy basset hound named Barney.

In book 3 we have Sarah and Kast. Kast is as arrogant as one of these princes can get. He's against change and isn't beyond using force in a species he feels is inferior. When he tracks the human women who escaped in the last book he thinks he's going to go in with a wink and a smile and all of the women will be calling over themselves to go back to the city with him. Then he sees Sarah and he feels the pull of the pair bond and his whole world changes. He gets to know all the females and realized how intelligent and so fearful they are especially Sarah. Sarah was down on her luck when she was imprisoned and then sold for alien experimentation. She knows how to organize so when Nia stayed behind in the city she took over the organization of the rescued women. She gave of herself tirelessly and sacrificed what she and to , to help everyone survive. Because of her mother and her last she has a very low opinion of herself and believes no one could actually care for her because she's unworthy of it. Kast almost looses the best thing he's ever found when he lies to Sarah and activated the located device on his tablet. Disaster unfolds and if they don't learn to trust each other and allow their love to become solid then all will be lost. This is series is turning into a gem of a find. Even though I would really love to much the males leads once or twice they really to realizes how important the women in their lives are and how their happiness will only lease to theirs. I really can't wait to see what happens to Hester in the next book. Highly recommend 💖💖

Much better!

I have read the previous books in the series and for the most part I did enjoy them although the heroines in the first two books drove me nuts! For various different reasons that I don’t want to get into. I did leave reviews on each book through Amazon and good reads. But I wanted to leave a review on this book because I wanted to make up for the previous reviews that I posted on the other books.

This book worked out much better and It didn’t piss me off, LOL! This author is good at writing distinguishing personalities within the females. I sometimes find it difficult to distinguish female heroines within a book series because they kind of seem like carbon copies of each other with just sprinkling’s of a difference here or there. This author is very good at creating very different personalities within her main characters throughout a book series. I will continue to read this series and the corresponding spinoff. I am enjoying it very much!

This was the first book I read from this series and I loved it! A headstrong hero and a feisty heroin that is not going to have it. Will they make it through? This book really made me want to read everything in this series. It is really interesting and easy to read.

These really just get better as you read them, the pacing has gotten so much better and you get to see enough of the characters to kind of see there motivations.

The writing and editing of this novel was super clean in the ARC version of this manuscript, exhibiting few typos that I could discern. The world building was great, just like the previous books in this series. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series so far. The characterization was great, with both the hero and heroine being flawed, sympathetic individuals. The development of the romantic relationship was natural and organic. The plot and pacing was quite exciting, with me turning the pages so quickly to find out what was going to happen next that they were smoking! This novel contained a medium amount of angst on the heroine's part because of her trauma with her mother, but the stakes were very high, which I prefer, and I was able to enjoy the angst somewhat. This novel used the Mars Needs Women trope, the Fated Mates trope, and the Breeder trope used in some sci-fi romances. I enjoy all those tropes. The world building, plot, and pacing were all four stars. The characterization and development of the romantic relationship were also four stars. The combined score of this novel was therefore four stars. This novel had a Happy Ever After ending instead of a cliffhanger, so that is a big plus to this novel. I recommend this novel to readers who enjoy sci-fi romances with fast pacing. I will be buying myself a keeper copy of this novel, for sure.

Well is the title doesn't pick your interest the blurb surly does. Prince Kast don't care for human, or anyone who's isn't Xalke, (Most aliens don't at first) but he needs children. He plans and charming them, lying to them, by whatever means to get them back to the city. He needs them there as breeders. While in the prairies of Jahull he sees Sara. It seems as if he gets kick where he needs to get kicked and they pair bond. It's forceful, brutal and instantaneous. He still sees himself as superior to Sara. I love how Sara takes Kast in hand and teaches him a thing or two. There is plenty of drama, action, steam and romance. Great HEA. This book 3 in the Warriors of the Augur Nebula Series is a very well-written story about an Alien who needs humans as breeders, but does not like anyone not like him. He sees her and seems to get and instant change of mind when it comes to her, but it is a brutal planet with brutal people. Can they make it work . These wonderfully written characters, flaws and all, will make you feel their emotions and you will root for them to make the connection. They have wonderful chemistry. I cannot wait to read more.

Sara was trying to keep the human women safe on Jahull in HuManor. They had experienced too much pain and suffering between them all. Kast knew Sara was his true mate. He had to do lot of convincing and they went through a lot of tragic circumstances with the settlement before they got their HEA. Interesting and exciting
