This is one young woman’s story about her desire to stop cutting, or self-harming. Perhaps you may relate to Megan’s story, or to her parents, or to her therapists. As Megan shares her story, you may be able to feel her hope. Profound healing, knowing that one is not alone, is in full operation throughout this book. Megan graciously and courageously shares her journey from years of self-harm to finding healthier ways to cope with her emotions.
Mental health should never be taboo. The link below is for a pen you can use to help with self harm it looks like any old pen but it stings as you use it. You feel as if your cutting but you don’t get hurt. Please talk to someone it’s not all that uncommon to have unhealthy emotional coping mechanisms
I related to this book alot... My dad was abusive to me for when I was 6-12. I also have a piano and have also been in a residental treatment facility. My experience at my residential was slot different. Great book❤
The story is heart breaking, I just wish Chantel got justice. Overall great story and I would highly recommend to folks who battle with self harm to read this quick story
super short. i happened upon this on kindle unlimited and as someone who has struggled this just felt so extreme and felt like something a health class would have you read to be informed on mental illness
I still struggle with self harm and suicidal ideation. Been struggling with them for a long time. I believe there is hope sometimes just not for me. Thanks for writing this.
Very interesting read, was recommended by a friend to read. Liked how you see into the mind of this girls life and how her mental health came to be and ignored by family members. Glad the author wrote this to help her healing.
Even if you don't relate to the reason why the author ended up hurting herself, you can relate to the mentality of it all if you have ever had severe mental health issues. It's a sad and shorter read. It made me feel like I am not alone.
