Ugh. I just can't take Wendy. Vlad deserved better. About half way through I started to skip the chapters about Vlad and Wendy and the book was 1000x better. I may have missed her redemption, but at this point I just don't care.

Dark Choices: The Quandary KU 321 pgs *** 8/9/21 Rufsar & Edna

3 stars. Still not into Vlad and Wendy, I just skipped their part except where they finally got to trying for transitioning. So happy to have Annani back in this book, I just love her! I loved learning about Edna outside of her gruff, judgy self! I really enjoyed reading about her and how she and Rufsar got together. I hope they can figure out how to be together since they live in different areas. Richard still gets on my nerves and I don’t like him much. If he transitions, hopefully it will make him more of a real man and not more of a scum bucket. All the main characters were in this book except for a few. This book was more of an update on everyone, more mistrust for Kalugal which I am really tired of. I would be really upset after all this time and him being on his best behavior and trying so hard to get everyone to trust him. I think they are treating him awful. I do like how they took care of the Government paranormal people and I really hope it will help them find more Dormants.

Better

For a while, these books were moving so slowly. I got bored...which is why I'm only just now reading this one. But I was pleasantly surprised.

I like Rufsur. We met him previous books (the Dark Overlord series), but I don't think we got to see him quite like this. He's funny and playful and flirty. Even though we've seen Edna throughout this series, we've never had an in-depth look at her...her history, her desires, what makes her tick. This was a good look at her. And I really like Edna and Rufsur together. I can't wait to see how their situation works out.

I like the movement of Vlad and Wendy's story. I'm still not sure if I like her now (I didn't like her in previous books), but I'm interested in seeing how their story goes.

Here's hoping the next books keep this forward momentum.

I received an ARC and am so grateful for the first bite of this month’s immortal fix. Our favorite teens Wendy and Vlad are back. We’re seeing an all new side of Edna, the inscrutable judge and find new faves in Kalugal’s guy. Annani makes an appearance and Roberts is unfortunately still in the picture. Kalugal and Jacki are becoming more enmeshed in the village although this is causing some rifts in the village and for Kalugal. Wendy and Richard both choose to try to transition and Vlad and Wendy set their fears aside to come together.
This is a great intro into a new story arc and, as always, Ms. Lucas delivers. For addicts of this series like me, the only downside to this book is the long weeks until next month to get our immortals fix!

What a conundrum!

The challenges that face Edna and Rufus certainly do not have a simple solution, if one at all. Their faithfulness to those they serve is real and calls for a lifelong commitment. How can their love go any further? This is
where I.T.Lucas creates her magic! I love how she intertwines each book with not just the main characters of book but also incorporate other characters who are facing their own struggles. I have been reading the series for a few years now and I’ve also read of the paranormal series. This author and her work is among the top five best paranormal genre writers in my book!

Dark Choices: The Quandary (The Children of the Gods Paranormal Romance Series Book 41) - I.T. Lucas

What an unlikely pair, Rufsur and Edna, yet the chemistry between them can’t be ignored, (despite Edna’s denials).
The many storylines continue weave their way through Book 41 with developments between Kalugal, Kian and the clans possible cooperation, intercepting the government paranormal program, Wendy and a lad, etc.
The series continues to be an immersive experience that takes us on a journey then leaves us waiting for the next book to dive back into this amazing world created by I.T. Lucas.

Another great one to add to this series.
Vlad and Wendy give it another go.
Rufsur and Edna are attracted to each other, but there are obstacles they will need to overcome. Edna is keeping him at arms length cause she feels they will neither of them leave their clan. We get to see a little into Edna's past and what makes her the way she is.
We get to see Rufsur being playful and honest. What you see is what you get with Rufsur and that is what attracts Edna in the first place.
It's always great to have Annani visit and have people come together.
Kalugal and Kian seem to be getting along and are starting to trust each other.
Looking forward to the next installment.

Edna Let's Her Hair Down

Rufsur and Edna are entertaining. They are my favorite couple along with Kalugal and Jacki. Edna has always been a mystery and now I know why. She really needs someone like Rusfur to rescue her. Can't wait to see what happens next. Vlad and Wendy are boring and it took too long for them to make up their minds. However, I still enjoyed the interactions between Kalugal and Kian trying to unite their immortals.

enjoyed

So many interesting things happening. I also enjoy reading this latest couple’s story.
Now the only thing that I am not thrilled about is the double standard that Kian is subjecting Kalugal to. They are making him jump through so many hoops including Annani doing a compulsion on him. I understand why they don’t trust him but it still doesn’t change the fact that they are being unfair to him

Another amazing book from I.T Lucas ' The Children of the Gods series. Jacki and Kalugal and Wendy and Vlad are all in the village. Rufsur meets Edna and sparks fly. Getting to know more about Edna is wonderful. Can't wait to see what happens with her going forward. This series is so full of amazing characters and the storyline never cease to draw me in.

Such fun and exciting reading

I love these characters. I’m quite addicted to this story and anxiously await the next book every time I finish one. I’m glad when I found this series it was already on the 25th book especially since I cannot think of many things better than being about to read many book in a series all together.

Rufsur and Edna:

Absolutely loved the beginning of their story. Can’t wait to read how Rufsur cracks Edna’s shell. My favorite line was: “The door slamming was an invitation to a duel. You’ve been served.” Bowen said this to Vlad about Wendy, when they were talking about women. I laughed oh so very much.

What you see is not always what you get.

I loved reading yet another spectacular story in this series. I’m glad to see that someone finally saw through Edna’s tough exterior to her beautiful soul. Maybe the Fates will play nice and surprise Rufsur and Edna with an unexpected child.

Fantastic as always

I don’t know what to add. I keep repeating myself. I read all the books in the series and I love it. Suspense is still there. It is well written and has everything. Humor, romance and suspense. The characters are superbly put together and have all their own personality. It is really amazing.

I'm glad it heated up

I took a break from this serious a while back, I had read book 40 and was waiting for more. While waiting I got distracted with other books. When I picked this series back up again, it took me some time to get back into it. That was probably due to me not going back to the previous book, but boy did it heat up at the end! Now I'm ready for more!

So okay, Edna and Rufur's story I believe is one of the most interesting out of all of the clan's women because they are IMPORTANT members of their individual clans. They are doing "long distance "relationship. I can't wait for the conclusion of their story.

Great!

Every time I finish a new installment I’m sad that I have to wait a month to get the next one. So, instead of reading this one when it came out I held off until the next one was out now I get to read two consecutively. I’m so happy!
