She’s a Norse Gargoyle princess who has waited over seven hundred years for her mate. He’s a human architect who lost the woman he planned on marrying.
Brynna Holgersen has lived a life full of adventure. She’s tough and fearless, except when it comes to claiming her mate. When Brynna meets Travis, he is still reeling from the loss of his girlfriend at the hands of a crazed Gargoyle. She spends her time with him, as a friend. When they travel to Norway together, she’s ready to tell him the truth.
Travis McKenzie was content with his life until tragedy struck. Now, six months later, he’s falling for a sexy Gargoyle Princess, but the guilt is almost too much. And why would someone like Brynna want someone like Travis? When he goes to her Norse home, the closeness makes it harder to ignore his feelings.
A nameless, faceless threat finds the couple as well as Banyan and Urijah. How can they battle what they can’t see? Brynna and Travis’s future might be over before it begins.
This novella begins during Deacon and continues through Malakai. If you haven’t read Malakai, there will be spoilers.
Faith Gibson's love of books started early on. So much so that she decided to write her own stories. When a college professor told her she had a gift, she took him at his word and put pen to paper (because back then, there were no computers. Shh, we don't mention her age.)
Her love of all things paranormal mixed with crazy dreams led to her first series, The Stone Society, about Gargoyle shifters in search of their mates while protecting humanity from unhinged beasts known as The Unholy. The Hounds of Zeus MC series was born from one of their own being a mate of a Gargoyle. The Rebel Moon Shifters are the next generation, all the kids from the first two series.
Faith also abbles in MM worlds and contemporary suspense, but her first and forever love is fantasy.
When Faith isn’t hard at work on her next story, she can be found reading, cooking, playing in the dirt (planting stuff) or playing with her staffy pup, all while listening to hard rock music.
Finally we get Travis’s story!! He is Trevor’s brother and I have been dying for his story ever since he was introduced to the series. Brynna is Banyan’s sister and she has found her mate but she is giving him space to work his way towards her. Brynna is a strong and bada$$ female but she has run out of time and letting Travis come to her. This author has a gift for storytelling, she gets you immersed in her gargoyle world like the people of the Stone Society could be your friends, brothers or sisters. I can’t wait for this thrilling series to continue!!
Brynna (Stone Society series novella) by Faith Gibson. Once again this author wrote a story I didn't know I wanted to read and would care about reading. Brynna has lived a long time. From a sheltered princess to a kick behind women of the world, she now finds her mate. Travis has been through the ringer since he has reconnected with his clone brother Trevor and meeting the Gargoyles. Starting his life over after the death of his girlfriend and working for Rafael has been a work in progress. Now he is in Norway on a job when he discovers his new friend Brynna is also his mate. As always the journey to being together always seems to not go smoothly for any of the mates. When a new foe is introduced I was excited at the new direction this saga took. And of course seeing the other characters in this saga is always a treat. This author's way of drawing me into each and everyone of her characters she writes about is a super power talent she possesses all her own. Brynna and Travis was a story that was emotional and action packed. I would have loved a whole book. Need to know more about this new foe. The epilogue was fabulous. I was left with my mouth gaped wide open and I was filled with excitement over the next generation. I will have books for years. Yay me!!!!! Keep the stories coming. Never will get sick of the Stone Society. Each story is just as good as the last. Another 5 star read for me.
One of the reasons I love reading books by Faith Gibson is that she takes you into this world that encompasses all the weirdness of life but in a good way. No matter what your state of mind is before you start any of her books, the story is able to transport you into this place of great love, fun times, bad ass women and drop dead gorgeous men and you just never want to leave the fabric that Faith has woven.
Brynna is one of those badass women who knows her strength and her purpose. She has found her mate and is allowing him to work his way to her. However, fate has other plans. Brynna realizes that her time is up and she has to come clean. That in itself is worrying without someone trying to kill you.
Brynna's story is part of the Stone Society Series. I have followed this series from the beginning. Her story is very timely because it starts to pull things together from all over the place. Many questions are answered and new plots are discovered and new antagonists are revealed. Some of our old friends are leaving and we don't know if they're returning, some are taking new roles that you never saw coming so intrigue only deepens.
I loved this story. It was short but so impactful. Low angst, the family grows, love is all around and there is no end in sight.
Brynna, a gargoyle princess, has taken her time getting to know her mate Travis, a human that has suffered a loss, since she met him a little over a month before. As the story progresses an internal struggle ensues, an external struggle expands, and not telling their true feelings could tear them apart. Brynna by Faith Gibson is a thoughtful and emotional novella in her Stone Society series. We get to read as Travis and Brynna both heal from their pasts.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
Another fantastic story by this brilliant author, she has a vivid imagination and a flare for storytelling. She never disappoints and continues to intrigue me. Brynna and Travis’s story has arrived and what a story it is. It’s filled with emotional turmoil, action, twists and turns, and is very entertaining. Love the characters, as I do all the gargoyles and humans in this series. Brynna and Travis are made for each other, but they have a few obstacles in their way, but eventually they find their HEA. A really great read.
This one is so sweet. A cute cupple that are kinda akward in thier relationship. Each not wanting to hurt the other or get hurt by the other not being as in love with them as they are... As a mix of curious and unexplained set of event unfold , though it os entriguing it doesn't stop the two love birds finding each other, with a little help from some unlikely cupids. Enough bread crumbs are spread around in this book to excite you into wanting more books...Don't stop now...more Stone Society and more of this new morsel "Dtagons!" Cool!!
This book was good. Its a very short read. Brynna's character was one I really didn't start out liking very much but I did change my mind the more I found out about here. There is a lot of action here. She wants to mate with a human, Travis, who is an architect and is making up the plans for Brynna's brother. Travis lost his girlfriend to a crazed gargoyle so not quite sure he wants to take up with Brynna, who is also a gargoyle. Lots of action but it just lacked a lot of suspense. There were some tense moments, but pretty predictable.
Brynna is everything I wish I could be! And Faith Gibson brings us right along with her beautiful descriptions of people and places, whether paranormal or not, kind or evil, wanting or heroic.
A true master of balance in her paranormal characters, Gibson provides us with the highest joys and the deepest sorrows-she connects our worlds in a way that we are immersed. And loving each and every moment we can be in the world of the Stone Society.
Brynna is a story of deserved love. Love IS patient. However, eventually with these two desire and the mating pull we get our wish! The energetic pace and twist kept the pages turning. I truely love Brynna. She is a Goddess. A trained woman in a man's world yet still feminine and gentle. Faith Gibson's story telling brings you into her world and leaves you gasping at the end.
Brynna knows she is Travis's mate but doesn't know how to tell him. Travis lost his girlfriend and had spent six months grieving but since meeting the feisty Brynna, he has started to move on, but is unsure of it's not too soon. So family do what family does best and interfere. Along with a New threat to the Norwegian gargoyles, their relationship is becomes a rollercoaster. Thoroughly recommended
This series just keeps getting better. I eagerly await the next Stone book and I'm never disappointed. And while I know Ms. Gibson is going to branch off into other series it's great knowing Stone society will still be around. Brynna IS a badass. Not Tessa level (cause you can't top Tessa) but she still kicks butt. This story had enough tension to keep the reader intrigued and keep the storyline flowing. Can't wait for Spectrum.
Brynna is very old and has lived wonderful life. She has met and befriended historical heros, bands, and brave, pioneering women. She was trained by the best and can hold her own in a fight. Travis is human. He has suffered from heart issues and violence from the Gargoyles in the past. He is the calm to Brynna's storm. They are sweet and perfect together. There is some excitement. Can't wait for the next adventure.
This was a really good book to read it just isn't my favorite in the Stone Society Series. I like the story but I feel that it was lacking something. I would have liked it a little more if it had more suspense in it. I am use to action and suspense in this series. Loved the way all the characters from each book were written in this book. I would recommend it as a good book lots four stars.
It took her forever to tell him they were mates! I almost expected him to be upset at her at least. Then the strange little things, flipped breakers, off feelings. But when they hit they went big. What really gets me, it's twofold. One, who's behind it and that potential. And two say what!!!! at the end.
Just when Bryans gets the courage to finally come clean a new foe comes along for revenge. Great story a out letting go of fear and fight for love. Grab and Bryn discover family is everything and love is precious. Great follow up. I cannot wait to see the short stories next. Ok e this series!
There is nothing to say about this book except it needed to be longer lol. This is the 13th book in the series and if you are following the series, you should already know this is a MUST read. If you have not started the series yet, you are missing out on a GREAT series, so you should start reading them NOW; you can thank me later. Of course I recommend this book and series.
I love that Travis finds his happy ever after with Brynna! Now he and Trevor both have extended lives. Brynna is tough in a lot of ways but also very sensitive. When trouble comes their way the whole Norway family will step in to help. The epilogue is epic! I can't wait to see what this author has in store for us next.
Fantastic book and characters in this fabulous series. I don’t have a favorite character in this series because they all stand out. Each is unique in there own way. Highly recommend this book and series. Wonderfully written and one of my favorite authors. ❤️. 📚. 👍
Travis and Brynna’s story was so good. I’ve been a huge fan of this series since the beginning, and with each book it gets better and better! Thank you Faith Gibson For all the hard work that you do for us!
I was waiting for Brynna story since Urijah and it was worth the wait. Brynna and Travis story is romantic, steamy, with some action with a happily ever after. Can't wait for the next Stone Society book.
Rating is because the books ha e great storylines and are well written. I've read The entire series and love them all! Not one has been a disappointment. If you enjoy reading this type of genre then this series is for you !
Great series I've been hooked since book one. This one at end gives inside to all the children grown up and can't wait to read there stories in finding there mates and the journey they take to find them.
The book was well written, Brynna finally found her mate (Travis’s). The family are involved in planning their wedding. Their is a kidnapping and rescue of Brynna.
I love how the Gargoyle's operate. They know right off the bat who their mates are. I loved Brynna and her mate. I can't wait till I see what the assassin has planned. I know its going to be exciting.
Captivating to the very end. Faith has this amazing way of intertwining her stories that keeps you immersed in the book. I can’t wait to continue on this journey!
