When two shattered souls come together, nothing can tear them apart.

Natasha

Happy endings are a beautiful lie.
I’m a prisoner.
Captive to inner demons, my life is endless and dark.
Just when I think I’m beyond salvation, fate throws me a rope.
That’s when I saw him. Erik.
A muscled wall with arms and legs.
Eyes a permanent storm.
Skin that’s scarred - cut deep like a Halloween pumpkin.
An army type with a mission, a purpose.
Never met a problem he can’t solve...until me.
We’re fire and ice.
And yet, he’s not going anywhere. He made that very clear.
My f*cked-up life is a minefield even a war vet can’t navigate,
So why does he stay?
Oh, he made a serious mistake laying eyes on me.
Every crusader needs a cause, but the torch he’s carrying is about to burn him big time…

Erik
Did I make a mistake laying eyes on Natasha?
F”ck no.
My cracked little Fabergé egg with baby blue eyes and curves that shook my soul.
Hot as hell, but why is her touch icy cold?
Her ocean eyes tell me she’s hurt. Tormented. Neglected.
Still, I want her.
Her heart, like her soul, is dead.
In that, her and I are the same.
I’ve always liked to take risks, play with fire
But I won’t watch as the flames get higher.
Demons lie in whispers of her past, but I’m her future.
Just before I find her heart, she finds another secret.
Secrets that could shatter everything.
I’ll fight. Until the ashes of her past turn to dirt.

It’s time she learned, pretty things aren’t meant to be broken.

But can I save her from herself?
Or will her demons tear her apart in the process?

💣💣ONE BOMB BLASTING TREAT💣💣
Hell's bells! Raven knocked the socks off this bad boy, tossing out every stubborn contingent, vexing debate or delectable encounter, raising the stakes and keeping it real, blasting this jewel to life spectacularly. A surging multitude of tangled exigencies and daunting events, noting the grueling trials and arduous tribulations, stumbling through the stunning twists and wicked turns, spinning this gem with such ardor and fervor, keeping you riveted on a razors edge and frozen to your seat, wrapping this gem up sleek, shiny and tight. Broken and shattered as disadvantages are heightened and expanded, unmasking the fervent facts, fiery feels and frenzied fiascos, shifting this baby into overdrive, slamming it into a tizzy with an astonishing culmination. The characters, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits adding depth and diversity, transforming into genuine formidable personalities. The scenes are abundantly descriptive with colorful details that blend and flow, creating a majestic backdrop that's so rich and lively it feels like you can just reach out and touch it. Remarkable job Raven, thanks for sharing this fabulous little gem with us.

Natasha is the twin sister of Valerie, Carlyle’s girlfriend. All her life she protected her sister from the horrors of living with her addicted mother and her buses, from the sexual abuses that she suffered at the hands of her mother´s friends, while she was the one who paid the price for everything. When they moved, she also continues to protect her, but Carlyle enters the scene and takes her place as Valerie’s protector. Now Natasha is still invaded by nightmares, constant panic attacks, seeing how the people around her gets her HEA while she gets deeper into depression.
Erik is an ex-military who now works as a police officer, who comes into contact with her bc his partner urges him to plant a bug in Nat to spy on Carlyle. She discovers it, but Erik decides that this is not the life he wants to live and quit his job.
Nat and Erik keep talking and both realize the scars they both carry. Erik offered Nat a road trip bc he considers that continuing to live with Valerie and the rest of them is not helping her, and so they begin their journey together.

Erik is the third book in The Syndicate box set. It follows the budding relationship of Natasha and Erik. Natasha is Valerie's twin sister introduced in Carlyle (2nd book). Both girls were heavily abused as children due to their mother's drug addiction. As you can imagine, it royally screwed them up.

Natasha, however, took the brunt of the abuse. Being the eldest she felt an obligation to protect Valerie. Now as an adult she is suffering through debilitating anxiety attacks. During one of these, she meets Erik, and thus begins their journey to heal her, protect her and support her until she can find her way to the other side. At one point, Erik says that every queen deserves an honor guard, and he considers himself to be Natasha's. I thought it was a beautiful sentiment!

I gave this a 3 ⭐s, because this third book goes back to being so horribly edited. I was tired of giving MS. Scott a pass on what should be a high standard in published work. Either her publisher has an awful printing program, or she doesn't take pride in what would otherwise be a lovely story.

This is a good book, although the ending left many unanswered questions, i hope there is an epilogue to finalise it all.

Natasha is a strong woman but has many problems, she had a terrible time in her early teens and tries every day to get through them and the nightmares.

Erik is a cop and tries to get information from Natasha about Carlyle using a bug, which is found. Erik finally leaves his job and him and Nat get close, he is drawn to her and wants to help her with her problems. Along the journey they take together various things happen, but Erik never leaves her side.

This book is full of feelings, and you want to know how it ends, so you find it hard to put down.

This book is definitely a heart breaker. Natasha has been through so much trauma in her life and it has left he so damaged that you have to wonder whether she will be able to survive. A lot of very intense moments for Natasha but Erik is with her through a lot of those dark times and he ultimately is able to get her some help, with Carlyle's assistance. Be prepared for a massive roller coaster ride with your emotions because this book is definitely not for the weak. I loved this book because of the characters and I hope that ultimately we will get another book so we can see how the future progresses.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this as an ARC
Natasha absolutely broke my heart. The trauma she went through over and over has a lasting effect I won't forget about for a very very long time. Although Erik was the catalyst to crumble her house of cards, he was the best thing to happen to Natasha. This story had my emotions roiling, especially where some of the previous characters were concerned. It wasn't easy to read about what Natasha went through but the point of this, in my opinion, is important and I applaud Raven Scott for her delivery in these two characters and the relationship they forged.

Having read all the books in this series, I was looking forward to Eric's story, I was not disappointed it was worth the wait. If you haven't read the previous books do, you will enjoy them if you are a fan of this genre. Natasha and Erik's story is a moving one, Natasha has been through so much trauma and it's going to takes time for her to heal but with Erik's help will she get over it? Their story is so different from the other books but it is one I wholeheartedly recommend. I hope there is going to be a followup to this one.

This story is full of feelings that will hold your interest until the very end. It is very different than the other two story from the Syndicate series. This one focus more on trauma that Natasha has endured throughout her life and how Erik helps to support her. This is a very well written story that will have you feeling for Natasha and hoping that she finds a way to heal. The ending was kind of open ended, so hopefully there will be more to Natasha and Erik's story.

3.5 stars! Different....

Erik by Raven Scott it's the third book in The Syndicates series and it's something very different from the previous books. This is a story of trauma, guilt and surviving featuring Erik and Natasha. This is not an easy read, but a good one nonetheless, emotionally heavy, circumstances very difficult for both of them and an overcoming that seems unattainable. I liked this tale more than the previous ones, but it is in necessity of an editor. Fast.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. The roller coaster of emotions from Erik and Natasha were a wild ride. If anyone can help Natasha thru it all, it is Erik. This book in the series is more focused on the relationship than the syndicate. They are two shattered souls that find a way to put each other back together. A different kind of love story than the usual mafia romance. I enjoyed the book and highly recommend the whole series

At first I thought this book was a bridge book, connecting some back story. It did that and SO much more. The story of Nat and Val, wow it took on a life of its own. Sure Theo and Carlyle and Val they were in this book, and we got to meet Erik. Erik was a police officer which is at odds with Carlyle. The revelations and the drama that enfolded later on in the book was amazing. I could really feel for Nat and what she was through. Cannot wait for more from the syndicate.

Natasha is haunted by her past demons they follow her everywhere she goes, she feels the darkness but could the Erik become the source of her light? Erik wanted information on Carlyle through Natasha but it doesnt work out and he leaves the police force. A deep connection if formed between them and Erik refuses to give up on Natasha even when past demons have more secrets to spill. Well written with a good emotional heart string tugging story line that keeps you gripped to the pages.

Amazing story!
A dark past, full of trauma will let Natasha have a future? A normal one, if not a happy one?
Will Erik presence and constant support will help her? Will his love? Or her’s?
Amazing characters and story, with all you can think of - sadness, drama, twists, and hope...
I want the conclusion of their story!
It’s a must read!

Another good read in this series, although I found it be different as the Syndicate is very much in the background in this one. The main character is not a member of the Syndicate, he is former military reconverted into law enforcement, and the heroine is only connected to the Syndicate by her sister's boyfriend. It is an intense read, treating Natasha's PTSD and former abuse, trust and intuition. I loved the interaction between the pair of them.

The book cover reads Cruel Romeo, but the story was Erik's. The content was heavy and intense. A lot is going on. I felt like there should have been another book. This story was full of typos, which lowered the rating for me.

This, third book, in the Syndicate series is somewhat different than the first two books. Erik and Natasha’s story is very emotional and heartfelt. Like the first two, there is drama and suspense. The plot twists had me hooked from page one to the last. I received a free copy of this book via BookSprout and am voluntarily leaving this review

This is the 3rd book in the mafia series but it can be read as a stand-alone. Natasha has been through so much but Erik doesn’t plan on giving up on her. Fast-paced emotional read with loads of drama, suspense and steam. Great characters lots of depth and emotion. The chemistry is intense and steamy. I really liked it.

This was a good story and quite sad for a young girl to go thru the trauma she did at a young age.. She did everything to protect her twin and yet her twin turn her back on her when she needed her the most... Eric has so much patient for Natasha. I was amazed how much a person could take to survive. I recommend this book..

AMAZING

This read well for me, also a survivor at 12yrs old. As Natasha and Erik struggle through Natasha's trauma, as in real life it takes time! I would love to read Erik, Part 2 for their HEA.

A heartbreaking, emotional read. I loved how the story played out. The manipulative nature of the people surrounding her lead to unimaginable moments in her life. The author made these moments feel realistic by using her actions and reactions at the perfect moments. I enjoyed reading this story.
