One good deed has landed her in the center of a dangerous world. A death, an envelope with a severed finger, and being tackled by a brooding biker is just the beginning once she hits the radar of the notorious, Ghosttown Riders motorcycle club. Club life, loyalty to his MC family, and the open road are the only things that matter to Derrick “Trax” Traxon. He doesn’t adhere to any rules except his own and his club’s. When a devastating loss strikes him and his brothers, he sets his sights on revenge and payback. He’ll stop at nothing to hunt down his friend’s killer. But when the key player in finding out who is responsible turns out to be the Good Samaritan, things get interesting. Aside from their mutual attraction, Trax and Cheyenne couldn’t be more opposite. Yet together is the only way they can find justice for Trax’s fallen brother. Cheyenne’s desire to help Trax and keep herself safe comes into battle with Trax’s need to find balance between his allegiance to the club and the woman he wants to keep.

Amelia Shea writes contemporary romance. She released her debut novel in 2015, and has followed her passion for series romance ever since. Her writing style includes a little sweet, a little sassy and lots of steam. She loves building stories with settings that become comfortable and familiar, and developing characters who feel real, and though they may be flawed, they learn and grow, and finally deserve a happy ending. When she is not writing, she is obsessed with reading (all genres although she does has a soft spot for romance), coffee (it's more of an addiction but she prefers obsession) and perfecting her "y'all" (just a northern girl living in the south).

This book was recommended in an MC FB group, and I picked it up since the person rec'ing said there was no cheating.
While there was no cheating in this book between the two mains, Chey and Trax, there was a lot of behavioral and trust betrayal, plus Chey was a push over.
There's a difference between being sweet and caring, shy even, but while it seems Chey was attempted to be wrote as a kind person (though there was only ONE incident that she truly showed kindness and compassion and it seemed like the type of thing I would think 95 percent of people with a shred of humanity would do) I didn't see any other real scenes of her being a compassionate or kind person. I did however, read them saying she was repeatedly, but the only other true personality traits I encountered involved her having low-is self esteem and easily forgiving Trax after a mini yell or pissy moment here and there.
Let's see... here's a few high lights of his behavior...
Tackles her to ground physically hard when they meet.
Is cold, glaring, and use of some occasional bad terms.
He tells her what to do.
Mini kidnaps her.
Lies.
Deceives her to get her to the club so the president can talk to her forcefully more than one.
BUGS HER APARTMENT.
Chooses the club over her constantly.
Man handles her.
There's just all these little incidents throughout where Trax and other members use the B word a lot about her and women in general. This felt very 1 percenter MC, trying to go cleaner, while they wanted to put on this front that they valued women, there was A LOT of down talking, threats of violence (even if not series, the girls didn't know) and rough man handling.
In general, I felt very yo-yo'd with the club and Trax's behavior in this book. While he was protective, Chey still found herself getting hurt physically (not by the main, except at first in the tackle, occasional hold on grabbing.
I'm even having a hard time thinking of a short and clear way to describe it. Like Trax wanted to treat her like a queen, but kept pulling crap and dominantly telling her what to do. It was border line she's just a possession feeling instead of true alpha.
Chey would get mad, but then he'd try getting affectionate and she'd just give in. She kept going back to him.
While there wasn't one huge betrayal, well if you don't count bugging her place, like he did NOT cheat, it just felt like she was never number one and never would be. This was really my main issue and a large issue for Chey also. She pointed out, as did her friend that he would always decide the club was more important and she was second place. He proved that the club was more important numerous times, even guilt tripped her some, but then the A would write in a rando scene that made it out like Chey was important too. However, I had a lot of anxiety and anger from this book regarding this. Chey just kept giving in and folding to him. Meg, pointed out that Chey needed to give him a chance and that he should be able to have both. Yes, he should have his club and her...but frankly, she should have been number one no matter what.
I came away from this book sad for Chey. Sad. Just frankly feeling depressed.
However, I was interested enough to want to try more by this author. The writing was overall pretty clean, not many errors.
The second book in the series features the best friend of Chey's in this book, Macy. Neither girl is very interesting or overly unique. You could tell the A tried to toss in two quick hobbies for Chey in this book, painting and volleyball, but she didn't do either in the book. Based on Macy's attitude, I don't care to read about her and feel like I learned enough that I'm not interested in her book. She has interest in Rourke, but also his bestie Greg kinda. Is she going for a 3 play? And then just Rourke in book two? I'll grab it since it's KU and skim it. Don't think I want to read the whole book or the presidents book. But I will try Sain't cause the heroine sounds interesting.

I was at the salon for way longer than I thought I'd be, so I kept reading this way longer than I probably should have. This jackass needs to spend D E C A D E S in cold storage. I could not for the life of me figure out why she kept giving him a pass on his super shitty behavior.

DNF -started out intriguing, the writing was pretty good for a MC romance but eventually it turned into the usual doormat heroine, gaslight proficient hero and more than the acceptable amount of misogyny. Cheyenne deserved better but at the same time I don’t really feel sorry for her because she could have stood up for herself and moved on from that guy whose first priority will always be his club and his brothers.

I had a hard time with this one. More telling then actually seeing (reading) about behaviors.
The heroine was supposed to be kind. All told except for the one show of kindness.
The hero, we are told he is all possessive, but the club is #1 and that is it. Actually, I think he knew that he could get away with a lot. Cheyanne was an idiot. My opinion.
He would apologize and she would forgive.
Cheyanne actually was not that interesting of a character.
The boutique she wanted to start with her BFF was a stale idea.
Cheyanne was not someone I empathized with.
You may love this. Reading is subjective.

This was recommended to me, but unfortunately I found it underwhelming after 30% in. It started out good, but it slowly declined. Pretty sure you'd find Chey's picture next to spineless in the dictionary. I wish authors realized that being sweet doesn't equal weak. I understand the author making Chey the way she was to balance out Trax, but he walked all over her. She folded like a deck of cards every time he messed up. A lot of readers probably won't appreciate that Trax thinks extremely highly of his club and brothers. And if Chey ever asked him to leave for her he would not. It's up to her to accept his MC lifestyle, but I don't think he would quit trying to bring her into the club life though. I think he'd chase after her and push her into it because that's basically what he did the entire book. But you'll be frustrated with him throughout. One thing I could really live without is the use of gash and slit when referring to women. Cunt is a much better word than those. Everytime they were said I cringed. 🥴 The next book I'm not looking forward to because I really dislike Macy, Chey's bff. And it has a threesome scene between Macy, Rourke, and Gage. Though she'll end up with Rourke. I'm so tired of the third wheel in books. I'm fatigued with all of them. Even MFM. I just really prefer two people. And also what's that going to say about Gage's book and his future ol lady? It's one thing knowing your man has slept with club whores because they come with the lifestyle. It's another to know your man slept with another ol lady prior to you. It's not sexy. Get your self esteem from somewhere else bitch. As you can see from my rant I've read entirely too many books with this theme recently. 🙄

This was so bad it flipped right around to good.

Cheyenne witnesses a car swipe a biker on the road, and stays with him while he dies. He gives her an envelope with a finger in it and tells her no cops. Chey is sweet but not so smart, so she decides to give the finger over to the biker club, and they offer her a favour, hence the title.

She asks for protection against some sketchy guys who hang around her apartment late at night and harass her.

The biker club then doesn't follow through, lies to her, and let her come to harm repeatedly. Chey repeatedly wonders if she is stupid. Spoiler: she is.

Trax is a mid level biker in the club, and he falls hard and fast for Chey, but the club always comes first. They are too busy to initially scare the sketchy guys away, and Chey gets beat up and almost raped. She's saved by a homeless man. She, beaten and bruised, runs to club and freaks out on them for their lack of follow through.

Trax assures her he will take care of it this time for sure, then gets busy with club business. Chey goes home after her bartending job the next night and get smacked around a bit more and almost raped again. The bikers finally show up and beat up the bad guys. I have no idea why she didn't call the police when she saw them hanging at her place again, but then I was also surprised by the fact her bartending job allows her to work with black eyes and cuts on her face.

Trax promises he will protect her from now on, for realsies this time, she can trust him. Chey wonders a bit more if she is stupid for trusting him. Spoiler: she is.

He then betrays her a couple more times, but my absolute favourite is when he promises, for the last time (!!) she can trust him now, all while he is bugging her apartment to find out if she knows more about the biker killed in the beginning. I think Trax is a few bricks short of a load as well.

So why 4 stars? This was ridiculously entertaining, despite the eye rolls and snickers at the stupid behaviour. I haven't even mentioned how mean and nasty the other club members are, and they treat Cheyenne like absolute crap. Chey is OTT sweet and nice, which just makes it more fun, because she just can't believe these bikers, who chop off peoples body parts when needed, don't believe she has their best interests at heart.

I'm assuming the author wrote this tongue in cheek, I guess she believes stupid people deserve love too? Lol.

Story: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Trope: deception
Angst: 😱😱😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥

This was my first Amelia Shea book and I really liked it! I liked how the FMC was a bit on the neurotic side, lol, it made her super relatable. The MMC did a pretty good job screwing up, but worked hard to make it up. The chemistry between them was great. The story was fast paced with tons of action. Loved all the side characters and can't wait to read their stories as well!

The opening to this one really painted a visual I didn't need, but I was glad that Cheyenne was there for Mick, that when things were bad for him, someone was there, even if there was nothing they could do. I don't know that Cheyenne taking the package was a good thing, looking at it was a very bad idea, giving it to the club was a good idea, just wish that it had gone better. Cheyenne was ballsy for asking for a favor in return, one that seemed innocuous, but didn't stay that way and put her in the way of the club again. It seemed like that was how this whole book went, back and forth, good and bad, each time Cheyenne saying she was done with them, but she wasn't. It took both Trax and Cheyenne to realize both of them needed to be truthful for their relationship to work. Once that happened things smoothed out. Cheyenne even took a leap and asked Kase for help when she realized who she was talking to and then let that go, once the info was given out, a big step for both of them.

I like how this one ended, I'm intrigued by the move that is happening and for the club to take over the town, it should be fun to read about.

Quick(ish) Review

Series Thoughts: Damn. I'm surprised at how much I got sucked into this crackilicious series. I mean, I hate the way it starts (more on that later), but emotionally this sucked me right in and even made me like some of these guys that I thought I'd never like (yes I'm looking at you Kase). What I loved is the characters. Especially the way this deals with every day life - there's a character with dementia, whose journey and final moments actually made me cry. There's alot of the aftermath of moving on from grief, that was touching and really hooked me into tearing through this 8 book series like a toddler through a lego set. I was all into it.

This is in line with most MC romances - there's violence, physical and attempted sexual assault, murder, multiple kidnappings. This is a series of bikers trying to get out of the life and move to Ghosttown, population 45. Each couple is settling in a town where literally you know everyone else, so there's no diversity and while there's interactions with the residents of Ghosttown, it's mostly biker centric. The series is also in line with Ghosttown East - around 3 or 4 on the WTFery scale.

The main reason I'm rating this series lower, however, is the editing - missing, misspelled words, and continuity questions really hurt the narrative, which is pretty damn good. But when I'm pulled out of the moment because I'm trying to figure out what you meant to write, not what's on the page, it's a problem.

So with that said, let's focus on the individual books:

The Favor: Hands down my least favorite book. I glommed onto AMelia Shea's writing in the Ghosttown East books, so this was a shock to the system. This was kind of touted as the kinder, gentler version, you know the ones who were trying to get out of the life. I did not like ANY of the guys at the start, except for a couple, and Trax's tendency to run roughshod over Chey drove me bonkers. If I'd read this one first I probably wouldn't have gone on to read the rest. I wouldn't recommend. If you're interested in this series, just skip this one. 1*

Cheyenne Willcox stops for a biker who is injured and finds an envelope one with a finger. She does not realize at the time she has gotten involved in something she shouldn't but she did not have the heart not to sit with the biker who was dying. That said Derrick "Trax" Traxon is trying to figure out if she has the envelope. He doesn't expect to get hooked on the Cheyenne. He knows he should stay away but she draws him in and he vows to protect her while trying to figure out who killed his brother in the MC.

What a way to start a series. This was phenomenal. I really liked Cheyenne and Trax together. I read Ghosttown East series first and then picked this one up. Each book is so different from the other ones and the characters are amazing.

Oh my, oh my!!! I just loved this read. I'm a huge MC fan and mostly all the heroine's in the books I have read were on the tough side, but Cheyenne not so much. It was different to read of a heroine who were scared easily by the MC. I really enjoyed it.

I'd like to read Kace's book if he has one because he was a real ahole at times. I'm on to The Hero next.

Parts of this I really liked. Parts of it I didn't, and a few I got very frustrated with. So, splitting the difference at 3+.

Cheyenne (h) is driving to dinner at her mother's when she witnesses a motorcycle getting hit by a car. She stays with the rider waiting for the ambulance, even taking a packet for him that he doesn't want the police to find. In trying to return the packet, she finds that the rider (Mick) passed away. In gratitude for staying with him at the end, the club offers a favor. This brings Cheyenne to Trax (H), one of the brothers in the MC closest to Mick. As the club tries to find who caused Mick's death, secrets are kept, uncovered, drive people apart. Does the attraction Trax and Cheyenne feel for each other even stand a chance in his world?

I did like some of the plotline. There is some suspense with the club business and who caused Mick's accident. And I liked that it wasn't a stereotypical dominant alphahole trying to get her to succumb. They're actually butting heads a lot - over the mystery and her secrets, not about her giving in to 'being his woman,' as is so often the case in MC romances. He's worried she knows more, she's trying to stay out of things, and it creates a fair bit of conflict. I enjoyed that dynamic. And I liked some of the character development too. When she's first assaulted, Trax feels guilty about it - it wasn't as a result of the club actions (something else rather unusual in this sort of story) but it was something that he'd promised to prevent. So seeing this ultra alpha-type feeling guilty was an interesting character development.

Overall, though, I wasn't crazy about the leads. Cheyenne's kinda airheaded and a pushover. She's at the crash for a few minutes, panicking about "what should I do" before she even thinks of calling 911. She waffles a lot and kinda gets steamrolled by Macy, by Trax, by the club... Just felt like she really couldn't hold her own well. Didn't help that Trax felt like a yo-yo himself. He tries to be sweet and protective and cherish her, but he's got some serious anger issues and in an environment like a 1% MC, that sorta thing kinda goes unchecked. Like they talked about - two sides to his life. But he was really a different person when the club side took over. So, no, he never hurt her physically, but some of the things he said, some of the attitudes or threats he made... just not something someone should have to put up with in a healthy relationship. Like the threat to Macy - even though he never said the specific word, how did he think that was going to be taken?? And their big break-up argument?

One of my biggest frustrations with this story was the readability. The author really liked her pronouns. To the point that she didn't use names in some scenes. Which left a reader confused when trying to figure out which "he" or "she" in a scene was doing what. Happened a lot. A lot of the time it wasn't as critical, but sometimes it made a difference to how the scene was playing out. Using names isn't a bad thing!

There were quite a number of editing/proofreading issues too. There were some sections that were repeated almost verbatim between chapters (like how the club was going to go legit and move up to Ghosttown). Bigger problems were more common issues. Word choices, comma/period use, that sort of thing. The usual stuff - homophones (accessing/assessing), word forms (raged/enraged), definitions (sadist/masochist), or correct phrasing (bared witness/born witness). Frequent enough to be noticeable, but not as frustrating as some of the other issues - the pronoun thing, or the timeline. I did laugh at Macy referring to "the golden arches" as being sent to heaven (i.e. killed). She does know that's McD's right?

I had some issues with the timeline. Cheyenne has the packet from Mick for several days before taking it to the clubhouse. It has a severed finger in there! Decomposition is a real thing!!!! And then she's assaulted twice in as many nights. On night number three, she doesn't go in to work, but is told by her boss to "go have fun" on her night off. I get that - her boss doesn't see her face, so can assume that she's healthy and able to go out. But then Cheyenne actually considers it! And ends up riding with Trax on his bike and having sex against a tree!! Her face is black and blue with a split lip! This is the same girl who was beaten so badly a day and a half ago that she couldn't bend over and tie her shoes! People don't heal that quickly!

And a minor point. How did Cheyenne see so much of the driver? He was speeding past her on a highway, yet she's remembering all sorts of details about his face and scars and so forth. Better observational skills than a lot of people, and a little odd considering how airheaded she seemed at other times.

Alternating 3rd person POV. No cheating (though the potential for it is a plot point). Minor OW drama with club girls. No love triangles. I enjoyed it, but it could have been better. I wasn't crazy about these two leads - Trax just felt too Jekyll-Hyde and Cheyenne just got steamrolled by it. But it kept my interest well. HEA and minor epilogue, nothing too far down the road. No cliffhangers, though several brothers introduced for future stories, plus all the business of the move and going legit.

Would I read more in the series? Maybe. I wasn't crazy about Macy, so not in a hurry to read her story (up next), but I'd like to read about Saint and the mayor. But then, I'm a sucker for the soft spoken, easy going types that can F you up if you get them mad. So maybe. Especially if it's another free Kindle find.

September 2020 -- 1 Star

Well, this was a hot mess. The author had an identity crisis or three. At first I thought the book was going to be a Cat Porter fan fic .. we had an innocent watch a biker crash and held his hand while he died and then became protected by the club. This pretty much pissed me off because i love Cat Porter. But then we started all the crap slang and the meandering story like a really bad Kristen Ashley after she lost her abilities. I skimmed from about 50 to 72% and finally gave it up. Pretty awful.

You probably won't see much here to like

Great story

Great story. After a shaky start I liked Traxx. I really loved Cheyenne. She was one of the best characters I've read in a while. Strong, compassionate, sassy, with a heart of gold! The only reason I gave this book 3 stars was because of the mistakes. And there were a lot of them. Even so, I will give the next book a try.

The Favor Ghosttown Riders 1

This is my first read by this author and being a huge fan of the MC genre I took the recommendation to read this.

As much as I enjoyed it I had to deduct points for the constant conflict between the H and h. It seemed she spent more time angry than happy.

The president was a total douche and the fear tactics were OTT.

I love this series and have read all of the books. I'm hoping more will follow. These moody outlaws meet their match in the mouthy, stand up for themselves women of the small town they are trying to rebuild. Vada, in book 7, was the only one who was weak and lacked confidence but by the end of the story she found her backbone while managing to remain sweet.

not bad just slow

Took several chapters to get into the story stopped and started it again and it finally grabbed me. The characters are not near as good or amazing as the ones in GT East. Storyline is unique which is why i like the series, its not the same old over and over.

This book brings a lot of suspense, drama, and a whirlwind of emotions, but it ultimately left me with mixed feelings. The story starts with Cheyenne (Chey) Wilcox, an average girl trying to live her dream, who suddenly becomes entangled in a dangerous MC (motorcycle club) world after witnessing a brutal hit-and-run on a biker. Trying to do the right thing, Chey stops to help, which drags her into the Ghosttown Riders' chaotic universe, leading to some life-threatening situations.

Trax, the male lead, is a tough, emotionally scarred biker with commitment issues. After a bitter divorce, he's sworn off serious relationships, but meeting Chey throws a wrench in his plans. Their romance forms the backbone of the story, with Trax falling for her while still being deeply involved in the club's business and drama.

On the positive side, the book is fast-paced and packed with action and unexpected twists. The suspense around the MC's world, the danger Chey finds herself in, and the chemistry between Chey and Trax keep the pages turning. There's also plenty of steamy scenes and a gritty, raw portrayal of MC life that fans of the genre will appreciate.

However, the book has its flaws. Chey’s decisions were sometimes frustrating to read. She’s portrayed as sweet and well-meaning but often comes off as naive and repeatedly makes poor choices that put her in harm's way. Her tendency to trust the club, even after being let down time and again, felt a little too far-fetched. Trax, for all his alpha posturing, doesn't always come through for her, and his loyalty to the club over Chey became a running theme that got tiring by the end.

The supporting characters in the MC were also mostly unlikable, with many treating Chey terribly. The club's constant failure to protect her made it hard to root for them or to understand why she’d continue putting her faith in them. The lack of any real accountability from Trax or the club, even after multiple betrayals, was frustrating.

The darker themes in the book, including threats of sexual assault and violence, were intense, but not always handled with the care I would have hoped for. While this added to the grittiness of the plot, it sometimes felt gratuitous and detracted from the romance at the core of the story.

In the end, Chey and Trax do find their way to each other, but after so many missteps and betrayals, their happy ending didn’t feel fully earned.

Overall, the book had potential with its engaging premise and fast-paced action, but it fell short due to inconsistent character development and a romance that didn’t quite hit the mark. It was an entertaining read, but there were definitely aspects that left me wanting more depth and resolution. 3 stars.

**Most of my reviews contain detailed Content Notes (including CW/TW) sections, which may include spoilers. I have tried to mark them appropriately, but please use caution.**

4/5 (still thinking about this actually)

Ebook

* Summary: After witnessing a deadly crash, Cheyenne becomes entangled in club drama and an overwhelming attraction to biker Trax.

* Stats: CR/MC-lite-ish, M/F, open door, setting up a series but could stand alone.

* Notes: This isn’t a Loved It, I’m Starting It Again Now book for me but it definitely had That Was Fun, I’ll Read Five More bingability. Very enjoyable, soapy, and full of push and pull (in and out of bed) - 1000% instalove for the MMC and lacked a little emotional depth in their connection because of that for me, but certainly had some chemistry. I felt like we were set up for a bit more from the FMC’s side of things (family drama with the alluded to overbearing mother?) that didn’t pan out and that the plot and writing did get a bit repetitive. I’ll certainly give the author a few more tries as I downed the thing in one go and enjoyed it, and would rank it a medium to high middle option for my MC reads. The club is interesting though “going legit” which isn’t usually my favorite - they’re still in the grey area enough for now… I do worry a little about it losing all touch with reality further into the series with the “MC town planning” plotline and the overall thing losing what “realism” it does have in this book - which is around a moderate on the MC romance scale. Honestly though, what sold me on this book right from the start (it’s not a spoiler really, it’s in the first chapter) was - immediately after regaining consciousness - a seriously injured biker’s worry over his bike. Because, in my experience, that’s 100% the way shit goes.

I'm not sure which one of y'all mother truckers recommended this book to me... but what the hell?!

I don't know if it's because I'm extra emotional lately, but this had me all up in my feels. I cried a lot and was frustrated with the H & g through most of the story.

Cheyenne is written as a timid, kind hearted, pushover. I was hoping that by the end of the story, she would have had even a tiny bit of backbone and would have put Trax in his place at least once. Unfortunately, that never happened and she just forgave all the shitty things he did without much effort on his part. A little groveling would have been nice.

I also really wish that the author had explored Cheyenne more than just how she felt about Trax. Watching someone in a horrendous accident and holding they're hand while they took their last breath would do some serious damage to a person's psyche. PTSD isn't a joke, and based on how vividly the crash was depicted, I expected more after shock. Not so much as a nightmare happened afterwards.

Trax seems like he could have had some seriously redeeming qualities, had he not been such an asshat through 95% of the book. I know losing someone close to you can really screw with your emotions, but he treated Chey like crap so many times and used Mick as an excuse. It got frustrating quickly.

The writing was good, if not repetitive. I felt like I read the same chapter multiple times throughout, because so much information was mentioned repeatedly. Overall though, an enjoyable read, and I'll continue the series with the hope that things progress better in the rest of the books.

I'm gonna stop right now. I'm gonna try and pick this back up later when I'm less annoyed because I really want to check out the rest of the series and I hate skipping the first books even if they suck (which they usually do)

So, anyway... My throwing in the towel moment came when the heroine Cheyenne proceeds to ohh and ahh over the hero Trax. This is ogaling Trax whose shirtless after waking up next to him in his bed. This is the night after she was horribly beaten and very nearly raped by the thugs outside her apartment building. So here we have a very traumatized woman from the night before following the attack who acted like a cornered feral dog when the men tried to get info out of her who is suddenly looking at the hero in a sexual light and thinking about kissing him or wishing he'd kiss her (with a busted lip, okkk) and how he has nice abs. And let's not forget the random thought as she's sneaking out of his bed being that she was disappointed she slept beside him all night and all they did was sleep. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Seriously? That was NOT acceptable to me and diminished what just happened to her the night before. It didn't even seem logical she'd wake up just acting perfectly normal.

Not to mention Cheyenne is just so goody goody and sweet that I'm cant help but roll my eyes. 🙄

So yeah, I was fed up. And with that I'm taking a break. ✌️

Not a bad book, but not a particularly good one either. There are Mcs and there are MCs, not all of them being all or slightly anti-law. The one in this book is rather over the line more than it seems to want you to believe it is. Cutting people's fingers off and taking the law into your own hands and beating people to death is rather far from lawful.
And, the thought of a nice, rather innocent girl, being deemed able to live with and accept a biker of the caliber of this club, raise a family, etc. when their club parties feature people openly and nonchalantly giving and getting blowjobs, etc. and to be expected to accept this as normal and acceptable behavior is more than a little disturbing.
All biker clubs are not like this and I object to the inference that they are by all of MC books touting the above type of actions and interactions. There are clubs out there that are made up of law officers and other law abiding citizens. All MCs are not Hell's Angels. Bikers are just people who like to ride motorcycles and are, unfortunately, painted as being unlawful, animalistic human beings by writers such as this author, and I strongly object to this. Personally, I think I will just pass on this series.
