This was my first Rachel Prince mystery, but it won't be my last!

The mystery to solve was well-laid out, with plenty of red herrings and interesting twists to throw me off the scent. I enjoyed getting to know the main characters, and even though I haven't read previous novels in the series yet, it was easy to follow their stories' developments without getting confused.

Rachel is quite a tough character and rolls well with the many punches she is delivered - and on her honeymoon, to boot!

I look forward to reading more of Dawn Brooke's work.

I enjoyed this audibook in this fun series. It's like joining old friends when I read books from this series. The narrator of the audiobooks does a great job with all the accents and voices, too.

Not quite what one expects for their honeymoon, with Carlos shot and spending most of it in the infirmary for helping a beautiful Italian he dubbed Aphrodite, Rachel finds herself in the middle of another murder. With her friend Sarah as the person of interest in the death of her cousin, are the two incidences connected or just a coincidence? Either way, it's Rachel to the rescue yet again. This cop's job seems to never be done even on her honeymoon.

This was the much awaited seventh book in the ‘Rachel Prince Mystery Book’ series by Dawn Brookes and it was also the much anticipated wedding of our heroine Rachel and fiancé Carlos. Having read and thoroughly enjoyed the previous books in this series I was not disappointed by this latest instalment. Although this book can be read as a standalone story, readers will have a better understanding of Rachel and the other main characters backstory if the series is read in order. As usual I was hooked from page one as newlyweds Rachel and Carlos head off on a honeymoon Mediterranean cruise. However their honeymoon soon takes a darker turn when best friend and cruise nurse Sarah’s cousin is found dead. Then to make matters more complicated Carlos receives a rather mysterious phone call from an old flame of his. Whilst Sarah struggles with the death of her cousin and having to deal with a new junior doctor on the cruise medical team who is trying to make her mark but also upsetting everyone, Rachel is busy trying to find the killer. As the blurb says, “Murder and mayhem are never far away when Rachel takes a cruise”.
This was a five star read for me, with an exciting storyline that flows nicely and a plot that has plenty going on in it to keep you happily turning the pages. The twists in the story kept me guessing until the end and I felt immersed in the cruise adventures. As usual with the novels in this series it’s the characters that really make the story come alive, especially Rachel herself, and I felt as though I was back with an old friend. Definitely recommended.

Rule number one for a honeymooning groom: do not spend time at your wedding reception or on your honeymoon with a spy and lie to your new wife about it.

Creepy connections between a slimy admirer from her childhood and a mysterious figure new hubby has spent too much time with and lied about. If you can’t keep your story straight on your wedding day you shouldn’t be marrying

A sexy spy with dubious motivation, smarmy politicians and dangerous mafiosi make up a whole lot of elements better excluded entirely from a meaningful honeymoon- yet it all makes for a sometimes scary, mostly hilarious read - except for moments I really want to shake sense into oblivious characters - dude it’s your honeymoon. Focus or leave married life behind

Amusing chick lit

Rachel Prince is finally ready for her Mediterranean cruise dream honeymoon with Carlos when Rachel finds herself in the middle of another murder. Sarah's cousin is found dead. With her friend, Sarah, as a “person of interest” in the death, Rachel will investigate the murder to clear her name. But who is the beautiful stranger newlywed Carlos is meeting with? And why hasn’t he told Rachel who she is and why he is seeing her? That’s not a smart way to start off married life!

This is another fun mystery with familiar characters, like coming back to old friends. As usual, death and chaos seem to circle around poor Rachel. Is she ready to find the killer? Is she going to have to keep an eye on Carlos and his suspicious behavior? Grab your copy and see what’s going on to churn up Rachel’s wedded bliss!

This series continues with a new instalment as Rachel and Carlos finally get married and head out on a honeymoon cruise. But will the marriage be smooth sailing? Rachel is still struggling to trust him completely, especially when she sees him talking to a beautiful woman and then lying about it, and Sarah, her nurse friend, is dealing with an obnoxious cousin who gatecrashes Rachel's wedding before being found dead in a swimming pool. He got drunk and fell in - or did he?
Another great murder mystery set against a background of cruising, with fascinating glimpses behind the scenes of the medical team and security team on board ship. The main characters develop nicely, while the mystery part of the story is enough to get the brain working.
This series is great holiday reading - just maybe not while you're actually on a cruise!

Our heroine is on her honeymoon at long last, but murder still finds her. This might make it hard to spend time with her new spouse.

This is book seven in the series, but each book is written as a standalone, so no prior reading is required.

This is a murder mystery book set on a cruise ship. The story is well written and easy to read and populated with an interesting cast of characters. Relatives, what more needs be said. The mystery is intriguing, with lots of twists and turns which keep you guessing and engaged. I enjoy this series using cruise ships as the setting. I have taken several cruises and I can usually visualize where our heroine is as she moves about the ship. Overall, a very enjoyable book and I look forward to reading others in the series.

Highly recommended.

A Rachel Prince cosy cruise book. The first I have read and happily stands alone. I’m an avid cruiser and that is what made me choose to read this although a little outside my normal choice of genre. I wasn’t disappointed.

Well written story with murders, intrigue, romance and a cruise ship thrown in for good measure. What more could you want.

Rachel and Carlos are spending their honeymoon on a cruise but their dream holiday is soon shattered by a death onboard. Is it accidental or murder?

Rachel has to investigate and meanwhile what is Carlos doing with the beautiful stranger he is seen meeting with? Why won’t he explain to Rachel who she is?

A good 4* read from me

It is beyond me why anyone in their right mind would step aboard a cruise ship with Rachel Prince on the passenger manifesto and yet they do!
It is perhaps the continued descriptions of life aboard a luxury liner with the food, the freeflowing booze and the lavish entertainment that help distract from the...erm...freeflowing blood!

With just enough wedding detail under out belts we join Rachel aboard her honeymoon cruise, wher all is once again not what it seems and murder seems to be the trael companion of the week!

Another great read, gentle, humerous, not too gory and always hugely entertaining although I caution Rachel against any kind of cruise "babymoon"!!

This book shows ALL the possible things that can go wrong on a honeymoon cruise. The characters are fantastic, but I do want to strangle a few.... just saying. The locale and the action with all the bad guys and spys keeps the suspense in high gear. A family death is just a prelude to danger afloat. The backstories add dimension and you know that lies always will come out. Could not put this book down until finished. Now off to read more from this author.

Ohhhh I loved this latest volume in cruise disasters. What a happy offset to what's been going on in the real world. Our beloved Rachel finally tied the knot and is heading off on her honeymoon..... cruise...... sooooo, we are primed and ready for the mystery that must happen. It was great to have Carlos back and a part of the mystery. It was also great that he did not have to save the damsel in distress, and that Rachel is as strong as ever. Great story, characters, and I can't wait for the next one!

Really good mystery. The mysteries were very good with lots of red herrings. Love the characters and their interactions. Rachel is a little unconventional when it comes to her honeymoon but at least she and Carlos both survived. LOL! Really enjoyed reading more about cruising and how things work behind the scenes.

Thanks to THE Book Club Reviewer group and the author for a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

I have read 6 of these Cruise murder mysteries (not sure how I missed one!) and I love them all. They are a great read with well-developed, likable main characters that you want to get to know better. The mysteries keep you guessing and wanting more. They are a quick, easy read and perfect for a rainy day!

Another win for Dawn Brookes!

Honeymoon cruise murder by Dawn Brookes.
This is a Rachel Prince mysterybook 7.
Wow another great read from this author.
I loved the story. Rachel still being my favourite character. I love the crew too. Sarah and the others. Didnt like the new dr either. I even thought she was a suspect. I loved the bit where she was tied up in the cupboard. Brilliant. Please do say there will be more books in this series. I love it. 5*.

The mystery aspect of this book is enjoyable, but mostly I appreciate being on the cruise ship with Rachel and her friends, visiting the ports they visit, eating in the buffet (although we generally eat dinner in the dining room) and a special treat is to enjoy the services of a butler (although barely used in this book). Ah, for the ship life! Thankfully, we have never been aware of a murder taking place on any of our cruises.

Honeymoon Cruise Murder is the seventh book in A Rachel Prince Mystery series and is a fun read.

The honeymoon cruise for Rachel and Carlos goes off course when murder, spies, and a strange woman come along for the ride. I really enjoyed this cozy mystery and am looking forward to the next one in the series.

Unexpected Plot Twist

Wow....As you have guessed, Rachel does it again. Only this time it’s a lot more than a murder. She has to figure out what her new husband is being so secretive about just hours after they have married, who has tried to kill him, and who killed her best friend’s cousin.

Wonderful read, absolutely gripping!

This one is definitely my favourite one so far, which says a lot, as the others were great! I love the way familiar people and places have been woven in. And I like the new baby doc, haha, her name is hilarious! This one was even more tense, more unexpected, and more complex, so definitely more of a good thing. I can't wait for the next one!

Rachel and Carlos are finally married. They begin their honeymoon on board the Coral Queen, but it’s not the honeymoon they expected. Carlos has secret meetings with a gorgeous woman, and Sarah's obnoxious cousin is killed. As Sarah was seen arguing with him shortly before his death, things don’t look good for her. Also, there is a new baby Doc who ruffles all the crew's feathers.

Another very good mystery set on a cruise ship. When the man who crashed her wedding is found dead on her honeymoon cruise, Rachel has to help find the killer. But who is the woman her brand new husband is seen with? There is another mystery, or are the two linked?
An interesting series with passengers and crew interactions, and giving us a glimpse of the inside workings of a cruise ship.

Rachel & Carlos finally marry.

This was my favorite book of the series so far. Rachel & Carlos finally get married and plan to have a wonderful honeymoon on the Coral Queen. Of course things don't go as planned. Murder and intrigue throughout the story.
