Yaoi, boys love, or even shonen-ai are genres that don't necessarily provide the best LGBTQ+ representation, but this manga definitely turns that expectation on its head.
Kazoku ni narou yo or Let's Be a Family, focuses on main characters Chiaki and Kazuma, who are in a long-term, stable, gay relationship. When their best friend Tomoe announces her pregnancy, they are incredibly supportive and become second and third parents to her daughter. After her job takes her away, Tomoe leaves her daughter to Chiaki and Kazuma's care. The two men raise her (I can't remember her name!) like she's their own, while at the same time acknowledging Tomeo's role in her daughter's life.
This was a super cute manga that not only shows off a healthy gay relationship, but also expands on the idea of what family actually means. I really enjoyed reading it!

To be honest i really loved this story, but i won’t give it a good rating since the author is a self proclaimed shotacon… fuck, that ruined the story for me by reading this end note from the author…

Jest to perfekcyjne dopełnienie historii chłopaków z Nim odnalazła nas miłość. Po skończeniu drugiego tomu czułam ogromny niedosyt i pustkę. Kiedy wiec dowiedziałam się, ze rodzinka od zaraz opowiada o ich dalszych losach od razu musiałam ją przeczytać i jakżeby inaczej w niej roznieś się zakochałam.
Jeżeli wydawało mi się, ze pierwsze dwa tomy były urocze to ten zupełnie bije je na głowę.
Każdym tych tomów był niebywałe świeży i intrygujący i to właśnie chyba przez to tak bardzo je pokochałam. Nie mogę się doczekać aż poznam inne historie od tej autorki i mam nadziej, że spodobają mi się równie mocno.
Jeżeli wydawało mi się, ze pierwsze dwa tomy były urocze to ten zupełnie bije je na głowę.
Każdym tych tomów był niebywałe świeży i intrygujący i to właśnie chyba przez to tak bardzo je pokochałam. Nie mogę się doczekać aż poznam inne historie od tej autorki i mam nadziej, że spodobają mi się równie mocno.

Absolutely ADORED this. Loved the art style, loved their relationship. The story could've used a bit of fleshing out, even just a short explanation of what exactly Tomoe does would've been helpful. As much as I gathered, I think she's a travel photographer? Or maybe some sort of war photographer? There was a weird cliff hanger that didn't come up ever again and I thought something happened to her so that's annoying that it wasn't even at least brought up. Either way I really enjoyed this and I'm going to pick up more by this author.

Un manga adorable comme tout ! 🥰
Un couple de mecs se voit attribuer la garde de la petite pépette de leur meilleure amie, et on les voit apprivoiser cette parentalité qui leur tombe dessus sans crier gare.
Répartition des rôles au sein du couple, équilibre entre vie pro et vie perso, regards de la société ... autant de thèmes explorés dans ce one-shot, avec beaucoup de tendresse, de bienveillance et de douceur.
Un très joli manga ! ♥

Un comic sencillo y muy disfrutable. Me ha gustado como se muestra la relación entre los dos personajes y la niña, además del hecho de que la pareja lleve tanto tiempo junta (en vez de construir la relación desde cero como en la mayoría de historias románticas).

Tomo Kurahasi es una mangaka muy prolífica y polifacética con una buena cantidad de obras BL. Son muchísimos lectores nipones y extranjeros los que han caído rendidos a los pies de obras tales como Sick, Crack Star, Pink to Mameshima, Hello morning star y, obviamente, Kazoku ni Narouyo o, como lo conocemos ya en España, ¡Formemos una familia! Después de que en países vecinos como Francia, Alemania o en inglés por Renta hayan disfrutado de mangaka y obras, Arechi Manga ha sido la primera editorial de nuestro país en apostar por sensei y una de sus obras más queridas por sus fans.
Chiaki y Kazuma son dos amigos de la infancia que se han criado prácticamente juntos y son pareja desde el instituto. Cuando vuelven a ver a Tomoe, su otra amiga de la infancia quien es como una hermana para ambos, ésta resulta estar embarazada. Sin decirles quién es el padre o qué es de él, ambos chicos la ayudan en todo lo que pueden. Todo cambiará en sus vidas cuando Tomoe, a causa de su trabajo, deba marcharse y deje a su pequeña Ayumi a cargo de ambos. De la noche a la mañana, Chiaki y Kazuma deberán ser padres y compaginar toda su rutina a los cuidados de un bebé, así como acarrear nuevas y desconocidas responsabilidades.

¡Wuola!
Debo admitir que antes de leerme está obra comencé su spin-off: Enamoremonos, el cual ha sido totalmente de mi agrado. Sin embargo esta novela se me ha quedado corta en comparación, quizás porque los temas que trata en su spin-off son mucho más complejos e interesantes y, si bien es cierto que hay un reflejo de ello en esta obra, hay muchas cosas que parecen improvisadas y que quedan inconexas con respecto a la otra historia. Aún así es un buen broche para la historia de este precioso duo ☺️

Kiedy przyjaciółka z dzieciństwa Kazumy i Chiakiego postanawia wrócić do swojej pracy/misji jako fotografka wojenna za granicą, ci muszą zająć się jej małą córeczką... co zdecydowanie nie jest prostym zadaniem.
Cała ta manga polega właśnie na tym koncepcie, choć przewija się też wątek rozwoju relacji protagonistów. Nowa sytuacja życiowa zmusza ich do dorośnięcia w stronę pewnych decyzji, a z biegiem czasu także w kierunku stabilizacji. Jednocześnie uczą się, jak zapewnić Ayumi potrzebne rodzinne ciepło.
"Rodzinka od zaraz" bardzo mi się podobała. To niezwykle ciepła, urocza historia, gdzie bohaterowie już od dawna tworzą stabilny związek. Zdecydowanie preferuję takie opowieści o miłości ponad te o zakochiwaniu się, ciekawiej śledzi mi się losy postaci, które już pewne relacje zbudowały. Wtedy odnoszę wrażenie, że czeka na drodze do szczęścia jeszcze więcej wyzwań niż w przypadku najpopularniejszej formy romansu.
Choćby z tego powodu myślę, że warto dać "Rodzince" szansę. To manga odpowiednia do poprawienia sobie nastroju.

“Let’s Be a Family” is a thoroughly enjoyable, found-family love story about three childhood friends who grow up to raise a daughter. Chiaki, Kazuma and Tomoe have known each other their entire lives; Chiaki and Kazuma’s parents helped raise Tomoe after her parents died. While the boys grow up to become boyfriends in high school and then lovers as adults, Tomoe is the wild child of the three. One day she comes home pregnant after a long trip, but then, being a frontline war photographer, is off on another assignment, leaving her friends to raise baby Ayu.
While, objectively, the art is skillful but average, there’s something about the way Kurahashi draws the guys, Chiaki and Kazuma, that sets it apart. She certainly follows manga visual tropes, but there’s an individuality to the two men that (I think) comes from the artist’s commitment to naturalism within manga formula. The three-quarter and profile views often add a gentle, meandering curve to the mouths, while the profile silhouettes feel closer to those of real people. There are panels that look more like sketches from life than manga story elements. It’s nice to see an artist that doesn’t feel pressured to over-design her characters, as so many do in a desperate bid to stand out from the crowd.
Aside from that, Kurahashi clearly loves drawing slender men, and I offer my long lasting gratitude in return. Neither Kazuma nor Chiaki have muscular arms or legs, but the loving way Kurahashi draws their narrow limbs is even more sensuous because they look and feel more authentic than the typical, stylized BL muscle boy. It also helps that the poses she chooses are full of a casually intimate body language: Chiaki and Kazuma’s arms, legs, hips and shoulders are draped over each other ways that speak quietly of abiding and confident affection.
It will cover as no surprise that Ayu steals the show a number of times before the end, and there are a number of tender and anxious moments as the trio confronts life’s challenges. This is a one shot, but I’ve ordered two other titles by Kurahashi, based on the strength of this one. I adored reading “Let’s Be a Family,” loved the characters, and it lifted my spirits today.

Chiaki y Kasuma están saliendo hace 8 años pero aunque Chiaki quiere, Kazuma todavía no quiere dar el paso en la relación de irse a vivir juntos. Esto va a cambiar cuando la mejor amiga de ellos, Tomoe, tenga que viajar por trabajo y les deje a su hija de 1 año a su cuidado. De repente se encuentran viviendo juntos y formando poco a poco una familia (Tomoe es fotógrafa corresponsal de guerra y se va por un tiempo bastante largo).
La relación entre Chiaki y Kasuma me gustó mucho, en especial me gustó encontrarme con un yaoi en donde los protagonistas están en una relación establecida hace tiempo. Para darle un poco más de contexto a la relación (y también a la amistad con Tomoe) la autora nos muestra algunos flashbacks y fueron una buena manera de aportarle profundidad a un manga que es tomo único.
Es una historia sencilla y divertida (con algunos mini toques de drama) sobre cómo los vínculos familiares pueden ir más allá del vínculo sanguíneo y sobre cómo es una familia con dos papás.
En cuanto al estilo de dibujo me gustó, no es nada extravagante ni del otro mundo pero es lindo.
La relación entre Chiaki y Kasuma me gustó mucho, en especial me gustó encontrarme con un yaoi en donde los protagonistas están en una relación establecida hace tiempo. Para darle un poco más de contexto a la relación (y también a la amistad con Tomoe) la autora nos muestra algunos flashbacks y fueron una buena manera de aportarle profundidad a un manga que es tomo único.

Rodzinka od zaraz, aka para gejów wychowuje córeczkę nieodpowiedzialnej przyjaciółki z dzieciństwa, to tyle, to jest cała fabuła.
O ile sam koncept mi się podoba, i twierdzę że manga ma wiele dobrych momentów, tak ma też jeden tyci problemik, mianowicie w paru momentach Dziecko staje się pretekstem by dośmiesznić żart z sexu lub erekcji, z czego erekcja to pada aż nie zdrowa ilość razy przez pierwszą połowę historii, nie jest to cały humor, jest wiele innych żartów ale te rażą mnie po oczach, zwłaszcza że owa córeczka jest w żłobku, przedszkolu albo innej wczesnej podstawówce, po prostu dziwnie mi się czyta żart o erekcji podczas np. Kompania dziecka, nie moje klimaty.
Meritum, jedyny zarzut już przedstawiłem tak poza tym spoko tytuł, a w drugiej połowie bawiłem się z jakiegoś powodu o wiele lepiej.
