Playing with Her is a very short story in The Players Club series by Erika Wilde. The main characters are Mac & Stephanie from Playing His Way and in this novella we see them celebrating Stephanie's birthday in a very hot manner. It also sets up the story for the next book in the series which will be about another couple (or should I say throuple?).
Some people might be bothered by the surprise Mac has for Stephanie and if you are not familiar with BDSM or non-vanilla stuff I don't think you will enjoy the story. It was very hot, so I would say give it a try.
There was one little thing that bothered me for some reason. Mac makes his desires seem like a possible deal-breaker and I felt like he should have proposed to Stephanie after the events of this novella and not before. It's not a big thing, so it didn't have an impact on my rating.
I think that it's best for this short addition to the series to be read after Playing his way, but I also think that it can be read as stand-alone.

Stephanie's birthday is coming up and her fiancé has some seriously intense, naughty plans for celebrating with her. They haven't had as much time as usual to spend with each other, what with their upcoming wedding, and their crazy busy schedules, so Mac knows her birthday is the time to reassert his claim on her, her body, and her heart. He's not as confident as he normally would be, though, that she'll be all in with his plans. He has some leftover scars thanks to his ex, but in his heart of hearts, he knows Stephanie is different, he just hopes she's completely trusting of what he's got in store for them.
Stephanie worked really hard to get Mac to give in to her and let go of his renown control. Now that he has admitted how much he wants her, loves her, she's only happy to cede that control back to him. Her birthday is just the time to let him know how much she loves him, how much she wants to give him complete control over to him. But will she be as willing once she sees what Mac has in mind?
I loved Mac and Stephanie in Playing His Way, but I think I love them even more here in Playing With Her. I think their chemistry and bond is even more solid, and I just know their future is going to be a happy, very sexy one!

This is a fast paced, extremely steamy and hot story which I had a hard time putting down when real life got in the way. Although a short story, Erika Wilde certainly packed a lot into it. I have not read the other books in this series but I had no trouble reading this one as a stand alone,although I believe that Brent (Mac) and Stephanie’s initial story was told in Playing His Way.
Mac and Stephanie are members of The Players Club and for Stephanie’s birthday he decides to surprise her. This will push her limits and Mac is concerned at times that he may have gone too far. I loved how dominant and alpha Mac is while despite being submissive there is still fire and sass in Stephanie.
If you like some BDSM and exploring your fantasies then this is the book for you.

Warning - do not read this in the company of others unless it is your significant other as I can guarantee you will become hot and bothered with every chapter in the book. It's Stephanie's birthday and her fiance Mac has an unusual apparatus that he has brought into their playroom. One that even he has trepidation about. But with loads of love and a whole lot of lust the plans are well received and oh so enjoyed. Holy crap this might have been a short book but it really packed a punch!!

Short, risqué and hot

Despite being a big fan of Erika Wilde’s writing, I’ve never read any of her Players Club series.
Our couple from this book, Stephanie and Mac, first appear in Playing His Way, the fourth book in the Players Club series. This is the fifth book in that series. If you’re reading the series in order, or read and enjoyed Playing His Way, this will be a nice bonus epilogue/story for you. If, like me, you haven’t read about Stephanie or Mac before, you will still be able to read and enjoy this story. You’ll get introduced to other characters from previous books, and get teased about the next book in the series, Playing with Desire, so you can see if you want to read more.
This short book will take you under an hour to read but it packs the heat into that short time.
It’s Stephanie’s birthday and Mac has a surprise for her that will push her sexual boundaries. His concern over whether he’s gone too far is really quite sweet - in a book that’s anything but! I love it when a strong, dominant man becomes a big softie when it comes to the woman he loves. Stephanie comes across as a strong woman who knows what she wants, and part of that is to be (mostly) submissive to Mac. She’s still got a spark about her, which works well for them as a couple.
The sex is hot - and with the addition of toys, floggers and, hmmm - can I call it apparatus? - it’s something a bit ‘more’ than in your typical romance. I liked it, but in pushing up the heat level you understandably get a lot of anal sex, which I’m just not into. But the spanking? Oh yes, please.
All in all, this is a short, hot book about a couple sharing their deepest fantasies and sexual experiences with each other. It’s a fun read that’s a little bit more risqué than normal, but still has the great writing and emotional connection you expect from Ms Wilde. 4 stars.

I have loved each and every book in the Players Club series, and was so excited to see Playing With Her show up on my kindle. I absolutely adored both Mac and Stephanie and couldn't wait to spend time with these characters again! Ms. Wilde promised this was her hottest and dirtiest story to date, and I loved every single moment of this story!
From the moment Mac and Stephanie got together, she has been very open to his kinky lifestyle, and she couldn't imagine their sex life being any better. I absolutely loved Mac threw Stephanie a birthday party at the Players Club, and all of their friends were there to celebrate with them. I still adore the genuine friendships between the women and the men in this series. It brings a bit of sweetness to this otherwise scorching hot series of books.

Mac and Stephanie have always been explosive together, but OMG this was hands down one of the hottest stories I've read in forever. Seriously, the entire series is pretty hot, and I'm really surprised my kindle didn't melt as I read this story.
The Players Club is one of my most favorite series from Erika Wilde. I love each of the couples we have met to date, and am over the freaking moon we will get a new story in the series in October! No joke, I am already counting down the days for the release of Playing With Desire. Readers who love scorching hot stories will love every moment spent with The Players Club series.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series by this author and am always ready for a new book. Playing with Her is a good addition to Samantha and Brent’s story and to the Playing Series; however, it is a pretty short story which isn’t too bad because if the reader has read the previous books it’s easy to step into this story. As I did enjoy the story I did feel a bit “short-changed” as this book was $2.99 at about 100 pages, with an additional 40 pages from a previous book in this series. I do love this author and her books but this one wasn’t long enough to justify that price. Although I do realize the author is not always the one who sets the price.

The Players Club series was steamy, but Erika Wilde has taken one of the couples, Mac and Stephanie, and cranked up their hotness factor all the way up! A reader does not need to read the original series to understand this book. However, the original story does provide insight into the dynamics between the characters. Having read the entire series, I was happy to catch a glimpse of all the characters and to see the progression of Mac and Stephanie since the conclusion of their story. My only issue is that I wish Ms. Wilde made this book longer as a was not ready to see it end so soon. This is definitely a book if you want a truly alpha male with his compliant and trusting partner.

Loved this sexy and hot novella. Loved wondering what Mac’s birthday gift was for his fiancée Stephanie. Really loved his possessiveness, and was heartened by Stephanie’s reassurance of her love. I’ve loved each book in this series. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.

We get to revisit with Mac and Stephanie and see what big surprise Mac has in store for Stephanie for her birthday. He thinks it might be way to much for her and is really nervous about her reaction to his gift. He is excited for her, but his past hurt comes up and is really wondering is he going to far with what he has in store for her?
Stephanie knows all about Mac's past and how he feels about his "play time" and how he had his ex wife leave him because of his desires. She notices he is a bit nervous about his gift for her, and after she sees it, it is too much for her? Is this way more than she can handle?

Playing with Her is book 5 in the Players Club series by Erika Wilde. While you don't necessarily have to read books 1-4 beforehand, I definitely recommend it so that you can "meet" the rest of the characters in this steamy books.

Happy Birthday Stephanie! It's nice to be a part of your sexy celebration with Mac! I swear to all that is holy, I dearly wish that these books were longer since it feels like I just get a taste which leaves me craving more. I'm sure it's because of the brilliance of Erika Wilde as I'm a HUGE fan at this point, but at least she's teasing us with a new book surrounding a new person which does have me dancing it out! I have definitely said this before, but I love when my favorite authors revisit one of their series to bring us an update of some of their much-loved characters. In this novella, we get a glimpse into what’s going on with The Player’s Club crew, more specifically Mac and Stephanie. For Stephanie’s birthday, Mac has designed a one of a kind piece to engage in her fantasies, but he’s not sure if he’s stepped over the line. After a small celebration at The Player’s Club with their friends, Mac and Stephanie share an incredible, steamy, passionate night together in their personal playroom. The heat just radiates off the pages.

Mac and Stephanie are back in this novella and hot as ever. Planning their wedding and running both of their businesses they are both trying to find the time to be themselves. With Stephanie’s birthday, Mac is planning a gift he wants them to try but is afraid to push her too far. This night will bring on Mac’s insecurities and Stephanie’s will to keep showing him that he is everything that she wants. Their love is as intense as ever and they are heating up the pages. I love all the couples and was glad to see what they were all up to in this short read. I would have liked a little more such as an epilogue of their married life but I guess I have to be happy with this teaser.

Holy smokes! When Erika Wilde said this was her hottest and sexiest book ever, she was not kidding. Although it had a lot of kinky sexiness, what I really loved about this novella was the clear love and caring between Stephanie and Mac. They weren't afraid to show the other their wild desires and it was great to see the trust and love they had for one another. I really enjoyed catching up with this couple. If you really want to see how they got together and how their relationship reached this level, you should check out Playing His Way, which was so much fun and way sexy too.

Holy hell's bells. My word...that was indeed Wilde's hottest book yet. Playing with Her is a quick read that catches up with a couple we've already met. Eager to make Stephanie's birthday special, Mac gets her quite the addition for the bedroom...and just. Wow. I love when we get these little glimpses of couples after they've already found their way to one another. The romance is there and we can just enjoy them as a couple. Great job by Wilde!

This was a quick but smoking hot read!!! Mac is very possessive of Stephanie but the present he bought her for her birthday has him wondering if it's too much for her. Will she enjoy it? The connection between these two is so easy for the reader to connect too while reading. The desire, the passion, but most importantly, the love Mac has for his fiancee is real. You can feel it! I enjoyed this story so much that I lost track of time and before I knew it, it was over. Loved this a lot. Now I'll be eagerly waiting to see what happens between Summer, Rick and Declan!!!

I loved when we get to check in with the people of the players club. It a scorching hot group of friends that like a lot of kink in their lives. Trying new things with your soul mate is about testing your limits while it's scary, hot, trusting and unforgettable. I loved it. I highly recommend this book and series.
