School sucks, even for the supernaturally gifted.

The fallout from last quarter is worse than I could have ever imagined and hostilities between shifters and witches are intensifying by the day. OSA has practically taken over campus in their search for Bitten witches—and any traitors who didn’t report them. Including... me.

But that's not the only secret I have to hide.

My powers are growing, while my control over them is not. Unfortunately, there's no one I can turn to for help. My roommate's already suffered the consequences of being drawn into my problems, and after a magical mishap ends with another friend being blasted across the room, I refuse to endanger anyone else. Still, I'm a little tempted to give some magical payback to the arrogant witch-boy who kisses me one minute and gives me the cold shoulder the next.

All of this aside, I still have to find a way to pass all my classes. With the end of semester tournament closing in, there’s no time for mistakes. In this volatile equation, one little slip-up could be deadly.

Spell Linked is the second book in the Ravencrest Academy series, an exciting new YA paranormal academy series with a slow burn enemies-to-lovers romance. Perfect for fans of Supernatural Academy, Bloodline Academy, and Oberon Academy.

Living in the mountains of central Virginia with her husband and two kids, she works as a paralegal by day, binges on Netflix at night and finds bits of time in between reading almost everything she can get her hands on and laundry to craft stories that tend to feature broken characters in sci-fi or paranormal worlds, with a touch of romance thrown in for good measure.

She's constantly lost in one fictional universe or another and is a self-proclaimed “fangirl” who loves being sucked in to new books or TV shows. This book flew by! The writing style is so good. I have to give the author props for plot development because she's sprinkling just enough information throughout the story to keep me interested without being too frustrated.

Selene really just needs a break from all the crap that keeps hitting her. Her life has been turned upside down and just as she's finally getting a handle on things something else appears. The mysteries surrounding her are slowly beginning to be resolved. I'm just very curious as to what the future holds for her at this point.

I'm still not a fan of Tristen. He's gotten better but the hot and cold thing he still has going on is too annoying to get behind. His mother is also a thorn in everyone's sides at this point. All the secrets surrounding these people makes them more annoying than mysterious to me.

Just once I'd like for Selene to trust someone and not be harmed or suffer any consequences because of it. I knew there was something sketchy about that professor. I just didn't know how deep it ran. He has a lot of explaining to do but I doubt we'll get those answers in the next book considering where the story is headed.

The end wasn't what I was expecting but looking back had I not been so preoccupied with all the other twists in the story I would have seen it coming. I wonder what the next book brings in terms of answers for Selene and maybe some family bonding? I'm curious enough to wait out the next book!

Well, seriously, dude that was epic! So much crazy happens in this book and I can feel that it's only going to let out even more crazy in book three. I absolutely loved reading this book and devoured it!

The plot for me was a little predictable but, it didn't in any way take from the adventure this book took me on. There was still plenty I didn't see coming, with so many different components playing at once, which was amazingly constructed...but if you remember Bernadette, yeah Tristan's mum, can you honestly blame me for not following with everything? I think you gotto be psychotic or something, to follow where that crazy woman will go and the things she'll do.

Oh and ain't that the truth. I am legit scared of this woman, whilst also wanting to commit bodily harm to her. My heart truly did break for Tristan and the woman who "raised" him. I promise I'm not crazy myself, well not to her level, but I really want this woman dealt with. This may make me feel a teensy bit better. Teensy being the keyword.

I really enjoyed a lot about this book. I continued loving the characters and getting to see more into their lives and the world we saw in book one. This book delves so much further into the witches lives and I really enjoyed that aspect and watching it come more alive. We get to meet some new characters in this book, and I have a feeling they are going to have bigger parts to play in the future, which I can't wait to see!

I thoroughly enjoyed book one but this book I loved even more! The story just truly blossomed and was incredible. The friendships grow stronger and although Selene is still very much in the dark about her background, she doesn't let that completely control what's up ahead of her. She has fight and power and a determination to not give in, which I loved seeing...because in a world like this she's going to need a fighting spirit to pull through.

Little bit of the plot. I'm going to try and keep it brief because spoilers will probably be pretty easy to let loose here lol. Let's see how I do. Apologies in advance if I talk like a crazy person, you can blame meds and a tired brain for that one....anyways, let's do this...So you remember how the end of book one where Selene's friend, Isobel, got kidnapped and had her memory wiped? Then we had Mr St. James bitten by Penny? Well, this book picks up not 24hrs after these events. Easy to say that Selene's life along with well, her friends and her really complicated relationship with Tristan...

With no clear idea of where to go next, they all try and pick up the pieces and continue life at the academy. But things won't be easy. The OSA (Order of Supernatural Affairs), has been brought in for an investigation, and now more than ever Selene needs to stay under the radar. People are trying to stir things up and they are definitely after Selene. After those who they may class as traitors or even sympathisers to the shifters (sound like they are after someone in particular?)

With Selene's power acting strange, after you know who threw a nasty spell at her, she's struggling more than ever to control this growing power inside her...and although her friends try to assist in this department, they are all flying blind....and it may no longer be safe to keep her friends involved. After a failed attempt at spellcasting, an unexpected teacher steps forward to help...but is it the right kind of help?

With the majority of the first years now participating in the Tournament, a test that usually only second years compete in...but due to a new dismissal policy, that will remove students that are below a certain ranking...The stress levels are high and the pressure is on. No one wants to lose their spot...and now Selene needs to seriously work her butt off, so she doesn't lose her own place at the school...and we all know how much she needs to be there. Selene and her families lives depend on it.

Oh boy is that ↑ woman right. Even you will feel that stress, I know I did.

While Selene continues searching for answers about herself and her magic, she may just finally get to check out her Grandparents (you know like the elite Andras ones!) and while she's there she may just have a teensy snoop around the house...It's what you'd do right?

The shifters and witches are on very shaky turf and it only gets worse in this book. The world is on the brink of change and players are getting desperate. And we all know where that generally leads... I have no clue how they are going to find a middle ground with how set in their ways some of them are...but I have a feeling Selene and her friends are going to be right in the middle of it all...even if that's the last place they want to be....The intensity of it all is amazing and I love the build-up. I'm certain I live off this stuff lol.

Okay, okay...that's about all I should tell you. So much awesomeness happens in this book. There is soo much more I want to share, but alas I can't. All I will say is that I soooo knew it, I knew multiple things! Called it from the beginning. So proud of myself 😂

Anyways, you are absolutely going to love this crazy journey of discovery and power plays. It's incredible. Loved every minute of this book and can't wait to read the next book!! But ugh, I don't think it's released until next March. Why is waiting so dang hard?! If you tell me to be patient I'll just whinge like this ↓ kid 😂

Oh, oh...I didn't mention much about Tristan! I have to talk about him! My attachment to this character grew soo much stronger in this book and I'm seriously just in love with him! 😍 He really grew a lot in this story and my heart seriously bled for him. It really did make me sad all that he went and continues to go through...he's such a complicated messy character, but one that you really just want to wrap up in a warm hug and tell them it'll all be okay. He's one that seems so real and human.

Being disowned in a sense from his mother, Tristan has time to open up and be a little more free, in a sense...but it's a slow journey for him. But that ending part for him...How could you do that to my heart Theresa?! I've never wanted to just rip that damn mother out of his life so badly. Is it okay to kill her off? I think she needs to die...is that too mean?🤔 🤷🏻‍♀️I may sound a little crazy....but I'm a wee bit protective of my boy... This better be fixed, because Tristan needs to be with some real people that will let him be him.

Still on the Tristan side of things...I can't wait to see how Selene and his relationship grow....because it will grow! It's complicated, has been from the beginning...but I have faith...

Okay, okay...I think I've covered all the grounds I particularly wanted to, plus maybe a bit more haha...and since my brain is a little out of it, meds are at it again...so hopefully, this review makes some sense...at the least, it may entertain you, but hopefully, it also convinces you to continue the reading of these books. You'll really love this crazy ride of emotions, oh, I mean story, that this book will bring. 😀

Thanks so much, Theresa, for the opportunity to continue reading the ARC's for this series. I have thoroughly loved every moment that my nose was stuck in your books. May my nose get stuck in the next book real soon hehe...Please note Ramblers, that as always this is my honest opinion and ramble for this book.

Hope you are all doing well...If you're excited about the release of this book, on 28th September, what are you most excited about? Share in the comments below. I'd love to hear from you. 😀

Now that I've talked your ears off or made your eyes fall out, since technically you're reading...I'm gonna leave now. Be good and read lots.

Happy Reading Book Dragons.

It's so difficult to put my love for this series into words. I read the first book last year and was completely amazed by it. I could not put it down. I pre-ordered the next book which was this one and didn't get it til the end of 2020 or early 2021 I can't remember. I finally got around to it recently and I swear... the story just keeps getting better and better. I can't tell if I like this one about the same as the first or more.I really wish more of you knew about this series. It's truly one of my all time favorites.

They do have less pages than most books but it makes them very binge readable. I really need the next books in the series asap. If any of you know when they'll be out please tell me.😭

I have finished all four books of this series. I ended up binging the audiobooks. I enjoyed the series very much. I like that this was a plot driven series. There is romance and relationship drama. But much more plot drama.
I also enjoyed the slow burn.

Spell Linked was a fabulous continuation of the Ravencrest Academy series!  And if it’s been a while since you read that first one, no worries, the beginning gave us a great summary of the previous book.  It was quick, caught me up to speed, and fit in so effortlessly.  If you love academy and young adult books, then you need this series in your life!
When he says things like that it makes me want things I shouldn’t.
Like him.

I loved Selene’s voice so much!  She was so easy to like and click with.  So I wanted to clap out loud and cheer for her when she finally found something at school she was good at.  Sigils!  It was such a huge win and I was so happy for her!  Even if it did leave me with more questions.  She was still growing and had so much to figure out….not only with her school work, but her powers, and who was trustworthy too.  So yes she did have some mistakes along the way.  But I loved that she learned from them.  And tried her best to do better the next time!
"....No matter what they say or do tonight, they can’t affect you. This isn’t your life unless you choose it.”

Tristan is still the king of hot and cold.  Yet after what happened at the end of book one, I understood why.  He didn’t know what to think.  His whole world got turned upside down and he was stuck in a horrific position.  I’d be jaded and wary if I was him too!  Yet Tristan was still protective of Selene.  He was the sigh-worthy person we fell in love with in that first book.  And the dress?!  Sigh.  As we continued to learn more about him, my heart continued to break but I found myself falling harder.  And I was counting the minutes until Tristan and Selene were together!
Blood doesn’t make a family, people do.

Friendship was still such a strong theme.  I adored Selene and Adrian’s friendship.  Their platonic relationship was done beautifully.  And Basil, oh his matchmaker ways had me laughing out loud!  He just wanted what was best for Selene and he is my favorite type of grandpa character!  I also loved her friendship with Isobel.  And of course the romance between Tristan and Selene, will they or won’t they.  That got answered in this book!
His eyes are closed, his hands at his sides, every bit of him under careful control. Control I want him to lose.

Spell Linked was laced with a mysterious element that had me guessing from that first page to the last.  And just know that while we got answers in this book, there are still so many to come in books 3 & 4!  I can’t recommend this series enough!

I really liked this book! There was so many crazy events happening in this book and I couldn’t put it down! This series is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Definitely a slow burn series. OSA can kick rocks except for 1 of them. Selene is just struggling man. Girl can’t catch a break. I really like the magic system so far though and it so far has been quite easy to understand. I love the writing of this series, you can really feel the emotions and it really puts the whole situation into perspective. One thing that I didn’t like was how short these books are. I need moreeeee

Selene is dealing with the aftermath of her bestfriends kidnapping and what happened there. She is worried about why Isobel's mind was wiped. Selene and Tristian is in a weird place since what happened, she doesn't know how to fix it.
Selene will have to figure out what is going with her magic. Keep under the radar with OSA, and so much more in this book. Selene is going to learn more about her birth parents and grandparents, learn that others know more than what they told her. Selene's life is going to turn upside down.

There is alot that goes on in this book. This quite the rocky road for Selene as she navigate between her two worlds. You will get caught up in this story especially towards the end of this book. You will get to the end and want the next one. There is a lot that goes in this book that I won't say, because it will spoil the story

I received a complimentary copy of this book and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Ravencrest Academy will have you spellbound from the beginning. The second book picks up right where the first ended. Selene is not your run of the mill witch. She’s still trying to understand her powers. They are growing everyday and she’s trying to learn how to control them. In the mist of dealing with her powers there’s something more going on. Someone is killing witches and Selene is finding it hard to know whom is trustworthy. Her tutor and friend Basil has been attacked because of his search for information about Selenes power, Burke has left the academy and no longer able to protect her for OSA and Tristen has been wisked away by his rude sketchy mother. Selenes looking for the next move in order to protect her parents and friends and find out more about her mysterious powers.

Selene’s adventures continue in this second installment of Ravencrest Academy. Things are tense between her and Tristan after what happened with his dad, Isobel is still recovering from her memories being wiled, and Selene’s powers are still out of control. OSA is still pain in the ass and there’s something going on with the shifters. In the second half of the semester, Selene meets her grandparents and discovers more about her mother’s past. There’s a big discovery at the end and I can’t wait to continue the story in the next book!

Thank you to the author for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Wonky magic, strong but almost impossible to control. Shifter family but not really family. Half witch, other half unknown. Friend
S not really friendly, enemies are everywhere. Teachers hate that you don’t know the very basic things. You try to fit in but your bloodline says you should be top shelf. Raised by werewolves makes you the bottom tier of witch society. The fae are thought to be extinct and vampires are never seen. Trying to determine the missing information on your parents is nearly impossible. What is the “hunt”!

More fun for Selene

What else can happen? A rollercoaster of almost discoveries of what is up with Selene's magic. She finds she is great with signals and wards is getting better. Now she finds about a tournament that helps with determining whether she stays or goes.

Shifters-Witches-Vampires/Academy/Single PoA

SYNOPSIS (of 4 Book Series): The FC, Selene, was left with shifters by her mother when she was a baby. She was raised by shifters thinking she was a witch with no powers but discovers that actually she has strong powers but they were bound at birth. The story is set in a world where shifters and witches do not get on and there is pressure for shifters to be regulated by witches. The FC is sent to Ravencrest, an elite Academy, to learn about her powers and to integrate with witches. There she meets the MC, Tristram, a powerful witch from a wealthy family that hates shifters. The story revolves around the FC finding out more about her background and her powers, her developing relationship with the MC and the fight between the witches and shifters over control.

Heat Level: 🌶️🥶 This is not slow burn so much as no burn. There are limited scenes between the MC and FC and these only amount to a few heated kisses over the series. That would be fine if there was any real sense of romance or chemistry between the MC and the FC but I found very little.

Whilst decently written the story is trite and unoriginal. That would be fine if the story was at least told well but for me it wasn’t. There was a lack of any real background or relationship development and the characters all seemed to be caricatures. For example, you only really find out what happened to the FC’s mother at the end and in passing. The FC seems to be distinctly uninterested in learning about what happened to her mother or why or who her father is. Surely you’d at least be a little interested? Even when you do have the “unveiling” of the FC’s parent’s history it is one dimensional and lacks any degree of emotion. In fact you don’t get the sense that there was any great love story between the FC’s father and mother (which makes no sense) or that the father cares at all about his long lost daughter. It felt very disconnected.

There is limited development of any romantic relationship between the FC and the MC. The MC comes across as actually quite weak and pathetic both physically and mentally and the FC came across as annoying and a bit too arrogant in her behaviour. I found it hard to relate to either of them. One minute they hate each other then suddenly they’re “sealed” together 🙄

Unfortunately this is yet another long series (4 books) that drags you along (I was skim reading quite a bit after book 2) with litte happening only to have a “climax” that is completely unsatisfactory and seemed to happened when the FC and MC were not around. The main villains don’t even get any justice that you can see. One minute they are untouchable, no one believes the FC and everyone is after her and the next minute they are apparently in custody. Made no sense especially after the excuse of the dramatic “gladiator” scene which I assume the author intended to bring some drama to the climax but which just came out of the blue and added nothing to the story.

Reviewer’s Note: I was given a free advanced reader copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Book 2 of the Ravencrest Academy series picks up immediately after the first book, Magic Bound. While that is the case and I always recommend reading the first book in a series before a sequel, I think author Theresa Kay does a good job at summarizing the events of the previous book via reflection through the main character. So, it is really up to you, reader!

Spell Linked is a quick read with a page-turner story. In order to solve the concluding events of the first book, OSA (Order of Supernatural Affairs) is brought into the academy to aid in the investigation. The relationship between witches and shifters continuously escalates. Selene, having experience in both worlds, must remain on the down-low so as to not draw attention to herself. However, discretion is further complicated by her family (witch) name and her magical powers becoming unstable. Can she manage to pass her classes and gain insight into the havoc that is ransacking the supernatural world?

This book offers worldbuilding and character development—two aspects I was looking forward to in the Ravencrest Academy series. I think this book does better than the first in terms of having a clearcut/recognizable plot structure, but there is some major foreshadowing that will clue the reader into the resolution. Nonetheless, I am loving the story and world Theresa Kay has woven and that is ultimately what matters.

I am excited to continue reading Selene's journey and growth into her life as a non-blank. Indeed, I have already added the third book, Ward Locked, to my want-to-read list. Now, I just need to find a way to handle the book hangover until I can get my hands on the next installment.

If there's one book that makes me forget about sleep, it's this one. Speaking of sleep, it brings back memories of why Selene annoyed me in the first book. It was due to her oversleeping that she missed the meeting with Isobel. I understand she didn't have an alarm clock and was fatigued, but I still couldn't help feeling frustrated and forgive her for that😅.

In stark contrast, the second book had been a source of enjoyment rather than frustration. I frequently found myself excitedly flipping through the pages, often telling myself it was time to go to bed after finishing the chapter. However, when I reached the end of the chapter, I found it hard to uphold that promise because the story was engaging.

I love reading about the heroine becoming more formidable; Selene is finally beginning to grasp her power, even if she hasn't fully realized its extent yet. There's something she's exceptionally skilled at—the sigil work.

When his teacher, Nikiforov, offers her help, I sense right away that something is amiss, and the mysterious raven/crow and the discussions about the true shapeshifters, those clues left my mind racing with possibilities.

After two books, the plot thickens. While we've gained some answers, there are still many unanswered questions. Are Selene's maternal grandparents decent individuals? What does the future hold for her relationship with Tristan? Who is her father?

What is the backstory of Nikiforov, and how does it connect to the conflict that has led to a rift between witches and werewolves? Why are the Fae suddenly showing up and seeking to hunt Selene? I can't wait to read the next instalment and unearth all the answers!

I loved it! It was so enticing that I couldn’t put it down, this book grabbed my interest from the very first page. I had to know what happened next. The story is well written with a very good storyline. Welcome to Ravencrest Academy. This series is a slow burn, rivals-to-lovers romance. School sucks, even for the supernaturally gifted. The fallout from last quarter is worse than Selene could have ever imagined and hostilities between shifters and witches are intensifying by the day. OSA has practically taken over campus in their search for Bitten witches and any traitors who didn’t report them, including her, but that's not the only secret she has to hide. Her powers are growing, while her control over them is not. Unfortunately, there's no one she can turn to for help. Her roommate's already suffered the consequences of being drawn into her problems, and after a magical mishap ends with another friend being blasted across the room, she refuses to endanger anyone else. Still, she’s a little tempted to give some magical payback to the arrogant witch-boy who kisses her one minute and gives her the cold shoulder the next. All of this aside, she still has to find a way to pass all her classes. With the end-of-semester tournament closing in, there’s no time for mistakes. In this volatile equation, one little slip-up could be deadly. So with all that and more this story pulls you in and holds you tight. I can’t wait to find out what happens next. I highly recommend to everyone.

Sooooo much happened in this book. Tristan being hot and cold as always. Me getting whiplash from them. Finding out that Selenes biological mom was friends with her parents. The kiss!!!! Tristan’s evil mom taking him away. Finding out that that professor is a Fae. And I still have mixed feelings about him. Is he evil? Anyways, WHERE IS BURKE?! The last few chapters were so chaotic. Is Basil going to be okay? I already figured that Tristan’s sister was alive. I just didn’t know that she went willingly and is literally married to an alpha. I wonder how that will play out. I also figured that Selene was Fae. She was too powerful not to be. Who is her dad? I’m so lost in what is happening in this book. Now her grandparents know about her and she’s staying with them for winter break. Oh, I forgot to mention that Tristan left with his evil mother. I don’t even know what will happen now. When I think I have something figured out, something happens that changes everything. I guess I’ll just have to read the next book to find out more…

This was certainly better than the last one....
The plot was good, kinda boring, the storyline was very good, the witty comebacks not even covering the w of witty, and tooo much weirdness/puky-ness/selfishness/fanficness

Why it got 4 stars :

1. The theme/topic/plot was simply awesome
2. Her writing was *STRONG* and actually made me feel whatever our MC was feeling
3. The writing was pulling and awesome

Why it lost 2 stars :

1. Was wayyy to abrupt and selfish.
Eg no.1 Her good friend WENT CRASHING INTO WALL COZ OF HER!
And she doesn't even go to infirmary to check on him!
Eg no.2 Her awesome tutor almost died, yet again coz of her, she doesn't go ask around or visit him where he is!
There r many more *incidents* like these 2...but I've decided not to tell them...
3. She doesn't get what other ppl r feeling and always starts getting angry at them for no reason at all!

It's pretty good, if u can ignore the minor hindrances

This series just gets better and better!

It's safe to say Selenes' introduction into the magical side of the world has not been easy but fair to the girl she just keeps on going. The love she has for her family keeps pushing her to do her best, but the circle of people she can trust is small, and when those people start getting hurt, it almost becomes too much.

Tristan isn't having the best time either, well actually everything in his life has gone wrong, and unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any end in sight.

I finished this book with more questions than answers to me. That's the sign of a great series.

Off to find some more answers in book 3. I can't wait.

Definitely recommend this series. A great deal of thought must have gone into the plotting. The magic, rituals, and history are in depth and not just skimmed over, which I love.

I picked this up having read the first book and desperate to read the second. The story had me hooked from the first page, and I was desperate to know more about how Selene’s life was going with all these new obstacles in her way. The characters were well-rounded, jumping off the page and making you relate and love them all completely. I loved the twists that had left me guessing until the very end and I can’t wait for book three, will be picking that up ASAP as I need to know more about this series. Overall, highly recommended!

the adventure continues

This is book 2 of the raven crest academy series and things are really starting to take off.
Secrets are found and uncovered only to be silenced, friendships tested and torn , lies told , truths also.
With witches and shifters and a history of older magic giving clues this series is turning out to be addicting.
Romance spice level is very low - it’s a super slow burn but the adventurous side of it and world building is more then enough to hold My attention. Looking forward to starting book 3.

Spell Linked was definitely a step up from Magic Bound. The story picked up the pace and had a bit more depth, with stronger character development and some intriguing twists. The world-building was still on point, but what really hooked me was the growing tension and the stakes that felt more personal this time around.

While it still wasn’t an absolute knockout, it’s a solid 3.5 stars for me. If you enjoyed Magic Bound, you’ll probably find this one even more engaging. Worth the read, and I’m definitely curious to see where the series goes from here!

Still only giving it a 2. Kinda predicted she was onna be a highbreed. I thought a cross between shofter and fae, not thinking fae and witch.

Where this book was much better than the first. We've still made it 2 books in with her still getting no proper training or information about herself.

Im just getting board of everyone walking all over her, treating her like an idiot because nobody is giving the information she needs or taking the time to actually teach her. Yet the same thing just another book.

Lots of mysteries to untangle

Slow burn romance. A heroine with mysterious parentage and extraordinary, if unreliable, power. There is a lot to like about this series.

There is some violence and tense situations, but this book is more about the mystery of our heroine's birth... and who is keeping it hidden and why.

Tristan is still hot and cold. I don't expect sex in this series, but there is some kissing.

OH MY!

THIS WAS SO GOOD ON AUDIBLE! HOWEVER THE FINAL TWO BOOKS ARE NOT AVAILABLE ON AUDIBLE! I HATE WHEN THEY DO THAT! IF YOUR GOING TO WRITE A SERIES EITHER PUT THEM ALL ON AUDIO OR NONE! THE BOOK AND STORYLINE IS AWESOME. I WILL PROBABLY NOT END UP FINISHING IT ALTHOUGH I QUITE ENJOYED THE FIRST TWO BOOKS. ALL BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT AVAILABLE ON AUDIBLE! I HAVE AN EYE PROBLEM! SUCKS FOR ME! HAPPY READING!

Interesting

Told from Selenes POV, who still does a lot of whinning about Tristan. She seems to focus on him more than anything. Hes lucky she keeps giving him chances as his facade is difficult to break. Selene has some good friends but she also trusts everyone which doesnt seem right being brought uo by an Alpha family. However the story is interesting and although I thought the father was one of the teachers I was wrong but I was right about her heritage. Good read.

More holes than Swiss cheese

I hate leaving series unfinished, so I pushed with this one after the first book. I won't be continuing. The magic system is a mess, the story has so many plot holes that I have to keep reminding myself they are there even when they would have been really easy to solve, and the damn student ranking is the most ridiculous stuff I've heard in a while. If you're gonna have a ranking, at least make the point totals make sense.

Ummmm Welll

Well I guessed a lot of things right and now have way more questions. This story is taking me for a ride and I’m here for it. I mean it has action and mystery. I hate that Tristan is gone and Burke and Basil are not there either. I hate that she is not getting answers either. This whole thing blows.

Book two was fast and easy like book one. The plot thickens in this one sort of explaining her powers and how they react differently. Her lacking knowledge of witch craft and the supernatural world is mildly astonishing, especially since she was raised by wolves. One would think she would have asked more questions but I guess not. Should be interesting to see how book three plays out.

Did audio.

Feels like this hunt thing wasn’t explained and just kind of thrown In there all of a sudden as this major thing.

Book started off strong and kept me just as excited as I was at the end of book 1 but it leveled off a bit. Still a fun story to be in. And I certainly feel like I’m part of a world while listening to it.
