I really love this series as a whole, though I did enjoy the first book more. This installment has a different set of authors, and I felt like one of their writing just didn’t resonate with me as much.

There were several moments where the discussion leaned into social justice in ways I didn’t believe were supported biblically, which gave me pause. There were also a few quotes and interpretations of Scripture that I personally couldn’t agree with.

As with any commentary or Christian book, I encourage you to always go back to God’s Word. Scripture is our ultimate authority, and the Holy Spirit is faithful to guide us in discerning what aligns with His truth and what doesn’t.

Despite those disagreements, I would still recommend this book and I’m excited to finish the Psalms series with the final installment!
