Absolutely Brilliant.

I can't recommend this book enough. Nina Levine poured her heart and soul into this book and it showed with every word on every page . The emotional turmoil and angst and sacrifice the hurt the betrayal my God I swear I forgot how to even breath at times reading Gunner and Chelsea's story . You know when your reading a phenomenal book because you want to get to the finish line but you don't want the story to end ever ! You just want to keep reading this wonderful yet heart breaking story and you want to scream at certain characters and then hug the stuffing out of others. Arrgghh I swear I think this book might be Nina's best yet and that's saying something because her books are absolutely outstanding. This book is worth more then five stars the characters are worth more than five stars Nina Levine is worth more than five stars . ! Gunner was everything I loved in a book he may be a hard core biker but his heart is as soft as snow . It was great catching up with the Strom men I've missed this series so much I'm so looking forward to reading the next book in this series ❤️. Thank you Nina Levine for once again giving your readers another book boyfriend to obsess over and a fantastic story to add to our collection of books that will always have a place not only on our shelves but our hearts as well.

Oh wow! I have a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes, this is Nina Levine at the top of her game. Angsty and full of turmoil, the love is deep but is it deep enough to overcome the hurdles that are determined to keep this couple apart? Well you will have to read it yourself to find out, believe me it is worth it. If I hadn't needed to sleep this would have been read in one hit, I was so invested in this couple and their story, it is intense and highly emotional on more than one level. Gripping, exciting full of love and hate, men who like control and feisty woman. It has hot and steamy but it also has those moments you just want to cry or hug the character to try make them feel better. We have have some of our favourite characters from Storm, who could possibly ask for more. This is my favourite favourite and I freakin loved it.. re-read still one of my favourites along with Scott and Harlow. Wonderfully emotional and fabulous.

Gunnar was the eighth book in the Storm MC series by Nina Levine. Although part of a series, it can be read as a stand-alone.

Chelsea and Gunner had known each other since they were five. They were destined to be together, until they weren’t. Levine opened the story with the backstory for the foundation of the plot. We were in the present, but Levine took us back three months to set the stage for the drama.

I struggled with this from the beginning. Not because it wasn’t written well but because I dislike plots where someone is with someone else because of a threat to the one they really love and then we have to watch all the typical drama that occurs as a result. Gunnar was no exception. With that said, it was still well written, well developed, complex, and action packed. It wasn’t my favorite theme, but in the end, it all came together full circle. My rating was based on the writing versus the plot. Additionally, I would have liked to have seen them more as a couple, but hopefully we’ll see them further develop as the series continues. Wilder is up next.

Wow.

This story was WOW!!

You know when you’re reading a story, and the H or h gets themselves in a position that you as the reader can figure out the way for them to untangle the mess they’ve made, and you’ve just gotta wait till they clue in themselves?

Yeah. This isn’t one of those!

I could not, for the life of me, figure out how this was going to be an HEA ending!!

Jeez Louise did Nina do an AMAZING job at bringing it to us though!

Such an in depth story that didn’t leave you hanging, but still left you wanting more! Such talent to be able to do that!

Congrats girl, this a definite recommendation to one and all!!

Another winner

This starts out all happy and steamy, then bang!
We get lots of cranky Gunner, lots of love for and from Chelsea and a rocky road ahead. I wont spoil the ride, however hold on tight. Steamy and addictive.

Not an OG Storm book!

I'm confused, upset and extremely disappointed in this long awaited return to the original Storm family. This book frustrated me, left me anxious and not in my normal happy place I go while reading. I literally put this book down so many times, I even thought of not finishing it. I know, I know such a shock because I love Nina Levine and her books! This book held to much angst, drama, heartache, stupidity and let's be honest it just pi$$€d me off! These are NOT the take charge, handle $h!t men I've grown to love and anticipate. They sat back let others blackmail them into doing their bidding and let Chelsea walk away without questioning motives! If Gunnar and Chelsea have known each other since 5 yrs old and have loved each other forever, then where was the trust, where was the hmm something isn't adding up in her actions?!? No, NOTHING! Yep Gunner just walks away like Chelsea meant nothing. Now don't get me wrong Chelsea makes A LOT of mistakes and stupid decisions. She also let fear lead her and that's not my idea of a strong heroine, even though her heart was in the right place it was still dumb of her to think she could handle Joe and her father alone. Not really an MC read we're used to and sadly a book I won't ever read again but I still love Nina Levine and will look out for her books. I'll just listen when my head is saying this doesn't sound like a book I'd enjoy after reading the sample. Enough angst, sadness and drama in real life without reading it as well. 1.5 stars only because of my love for past books.

Ok so... Can we start with this cover? Cause mother of god thats enough to start the flames! Phewwwww

So picturing the cover.... add to that an Alphahole who would do anything for you. A rough and tough biker who gave his heart away aged 5. Then picture that hot as sin man telling you, you're in all his favorite things? Heart gone yet? Thats Gunnar!! He's took mine you need him to take yours too!

I had no clues what to expect from him. I've been doing a re-read of Storm and seeing bits of him over the books didn't give much away but i was drawn in and now i know why. He's loyal and possessive and sexy and just all the things!

I loved the storyline. Something different this time and i liked the shake up! Although like J and Madison these two grew up together their HEA was probably harder to get to.

Chelsea took the predominant protective role in this story. Both of them are protective of each other but Chelsea takes it to a sacrificial level that will break your heart. I won't spoil the plot but damn that girl goes through the wringer for Gunnar and Storm. I loved her determination to sort out their situation. I loved how she failed to hide her love for Gunnar. I loved how she quietly took a stand even when all seemed lost. Shes a great girl! Although a few times i found myself facepalming and saying her name over and over lol but yeah still lover her.

I loved every side Gunnar showed us. When he was with Chelsea you felt his sole focus on her, he saw nothing else but her. Whether it was to fling hurt or love you felt it! When they came together you felt every emotion and i loved that! Hot hot hot! Inferno!

This is more of an angsty book than the others and the storyline is full of it. It really wrings you dry before you get to the smiles at the end.

I also FLOVED going back to our faves the OG Storm! Great to see them all still going strong! It filled me with great joy!

The bonus scene book from pre-orders just topped off the reading joy. I love this series. Every last book gives you something different to love and cherish and keep in your heart.

Omg I don’t even know where to start!!?? This book is Angsty...with a capital A!!! I had a pain in my heart through most of this book, I just wanted Chelsea and Gunnar to survive all of the turmoil and I’m an impatient person lol. Chelsea is strong and is trying so hard to find her voice and stand up for herself, but that is so much easier said than done. She had a bad father who bullied her and hit her to get what he wanted and then she is bullied into marrying a man who also tries to exert his will over her. She is trying to do what is right to protect the man she truly loves and his friends, but she is also trying to keep her feelings for Gunnar hidden from him and her husband. Then you have Gunnar who is quick tempered and so in love with Chelsea even though she broke his heart twice. He is forced to be in her new life with her husband and it’s a special kind of torture having to be around her. He wants to do what is expected of him from the club but he also doesn’t want to be anywhere near Chelsea. It is a heartbreakingly beautiful story and nobody writes that better than Nina Levine❤️ I was absolutely over the moon to be back with the OG Storm men and women, it was like visiting old friends you haven’t talked to in a while. I found this book to be very different than the other books in this series, there was so much angst and I have to say I am here for it!!!!! Nina, you are truly gifted and can break me and put me back together so beautifully and I will forever be thankful for your talent!!!! This book is ALL.THE.FEELS!!!! Read it, you will not be disappointed!!!

And its been happening like this throughout the whole book like its so FCKING annoying af!!!!!!


The hero always touch another woman even though they didn’t go far from it but he let another woman touch him but he always said in his head that THE HEROINE IS THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE🙄🙄

The heroine didn’t fight for the hero enough and throughout the book we can see she is married with someone else and the hero always so sad to see that. Like she didn’t divorce him or do anything to fight for the hero and thats so fcked up.

The hero fcks with the heroine’s best friend when he finds out the heroine is engaged with someone else and fcks with anyone else after he finds out. He didn’t fight for the heroine and neither the heroine didn’t fight for the hero.

The heroine is a scared self person and not smart, the hero is childish and dumb af.....

Also the MC president in my opinion is so stupid, he lets the hero watch the heroine’s husband as a bodyguard from time to time knowing that the hero didn’t like it and knowing its not right. Like wtf!!!!!


3 stars because of this:

1. The hero is ott possessive protective alpha male

2. Many jealous scenes from the hero and heroine but the heroine not so many like the hero did

3. Great epilogue. Married and have kids.

4. The hero’s words for the heroine after they are officially together is so cute. Like he said he wants to make it up for the heroine after what they been through and he said those many great words.

5. The hero belongs and works for the MC but all of them are nice and great. Not bad so its a plus.

6. The hero’s family dynamic is so fun and cute

7. The hero and heroine never cheats


Yup that made me want to put 3 stars, only that.

"Mason Blaise is my forever favourite"

Where on earth do I start? From the first glimpse that Nina Levine gave of Mason "Gunnar" Blaise and Chelsea Novak, I knew that I had to have their story. I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. This is more than just a story though, GUNNAR is an epic journey of love, understanding and trust. It is an emotional rollercoaster ride of monumental proportions. This is Nina Levine at her definitive best. Zachary King has been my favourite character since he was first introduced, however Gunnar came oh so close to knocking him of that pedestal.

From the very first page Nina holds back on absolutely nothing - sex, violence, abuse, alcohol, everything is there, described in vivid technicolour. Nina does not leave her reader doubting anything - hatred, love, friendship, enemies, anger, betrayal, even a touch of comedy.

Gunnar and Chelsea have been friends since they were five - destined to be together forever. They both came from similar family backgrounds, yet Gunnar turned his back on his - he rebelled. Chelsea had no choice, thanks to a cruel, dominating father. Together Gunnar and Chelsea were like an erupting volcano ... unpredictable, passionate and would heat up any room. Fate separates them physically, yet in their hearts they would be forever joined. A deal is made and Chelsea is forced to walk away from the only man she has ever loved. What can be so damaging to Gunnar that would force Chelsea to make a decision that would change them forever?

I loved Gunnar, here was a man who had the love of his life in his arms one moment and then she was gone. Deeply hurt he lashes out, yet he cannot forget her or leve her alone. He's an alpha through and through, and has the filthiest of mouths (well not as bad as King's), he's also full of love, tenderness, caring and extremely protective. This is a man you want on your side ... especially when it comes to love and fighting.

Chelsea Novak would have to be the most exceptional female character I have ever come across. Yes, at times she may appear weak and easily lead, but this woman has fight, gumption and a determination that makes her stand out. She may take a lot, but she certainly knows how to give it back. Her strength is found deep in the love that she has for Gunnar, and it is a strength that enables her to find the courage to do what she doesn't want to do.

GUNNAR is an outstanding addition to the STORM MC series. It is a tough, hard read, but it is also one that offers inspiration, belief and huge amounts of love. Gunnar and Chelsea are the perfect match, they may fight like cat and dog, yet their love is as intense as it is eternal. Nina also brings in many of the Storm members and their partners, resulting in some amusing and tense situations.

The MC genre is definitely the one where Nina Levine rules as QUEEN. Her ability to draw her readers into her MC world is nothing short of sheer brilliance. She has done it once again with GUNNAR.

The entire STORM world is a MUST READ. So jump on your motorbike and enjoy the ride.

Right I am gonna start honestly here. I was worried when I realised that Gunner was from the original Storm MC series. Not because of the writing or the story but because of the timeline and the amount of time that has past. However, there was no need. Entering back into Scott & Cos world was nothing short, of feeling like being home.

This book is hard to talk about, its a brutal read, a hard subject but it's a fantastic story. For me enemies to lovers is one of the best troupes and this was that on steroids. Lovers to enemies and back again to lovers was a joy to read. This book is fueled by hurt, pain and heartbreak but what you don't really see until it all clicks into place. Is the biggest thing that fuels this story is a forever kind of love. One that never goes away and never dies.

For me Gunner and Chelsea are a couple that rivals all my favourites and maybe even takes top place. I did get really frustrated at points and wanted to scream and throw things. But I refrained and my kindle thankfully survived. However I wanted to hurt more than a few characters within this book.

I have kept my review vague and slightly empty of information. That's on purpose as I really don't think I needed to say more. This book needs to read first hand. The unravelling of this story is worth the wait, its brilliant and keeps you holding your breath at points and the words that are uttered twice in this book will stay with me for a long time "I need you". Even now brings a lump to my throat.

This book is a huge recommend from me. I totally love The Storm MC world and I am so glad Nina Levine went back to the original Storm MC men. A great read and addition.

5 Stars!

It feels so good to be back in Nina Levine's head and reading, absorbing, devouring all of her words. I'm not a huge MC fan, but there are a few authors that I make an exception for- Nina Levine is one definitely of them. The way she writes, the heroes she creates, the heroines we love... it's all so swoony, steamy, action-packed, and always worth the ride.

Gunnar is the latest standalone in her epic OG Storm MC series and I was here for every moment, every emotion, and every single thing that this book threw at me. Just to be back was like coming home.

But these two, Gunnar and Chelsea, gah I loved them sooooo hard. The heat. The pain. The passion. The angst. The turmoil. The danger. The twisty suspense. The feels. Their journey. Every page, every word, every feeling evoked something in me, deep.

Gunnar and Chelsea were completely unforgettable and unputdownable in every single moment and y'all you don’t want to miss their forbidden love story.

I'll go ahead and say this is the BEST that Nina has written to date. Run, sprint, jog, fast walk. Do what you gotta do to get this romance. You won't regret a single minute.

Damn what a great book!!! I mean there's so much going on. So many sexy times too that are hot, hot, 🔥.
Now I'm going to say something about this book that I don't normally like but it's not what you think... I don't like cheating in my books but before you think that's a hard limit for me know I normally feel the same way but if you read this you'll understand why it didn't bother me. At least I hope you do...lol.
Can't wait to start the next book so I'm going to get to it now.

Holy smokes but Nina was on fire when she wrote Gunnar and Chelsea! Their story is so freakin' intense, so sexy, practically smoldering with their chemistry, with their brand of love. I love how much Gunnar was there for Chelsea, never, ever gave up on her, even when he was hurt and angry that she walked away. There was Storm club stuff, bathed in grit and violence, but as is always the case, there's purpose to it all, and it plays out in a fascinating way. I loved Gunnar and Chelsea, and it was so good to not only fall in love them, but to see some of my favorite bikers back on my Kindle again.

The Storm MC are some of my favourite fictional characters and having more books about them is like feeding a drug habit... more please! Just set up an IV infusion of stories and I will be happier than a pig in poo!

This story is quite intense, scratch that it is definitely intense! I mean to love somebody yet be denied the chance of being with them is hard but to have them forced into your life over and over again reopening that wound is heartbreakingly devastating.

Chelsea... oh Chelsea, she is a strong, determined young woman but the it’s so true you can’t pick your family and unfortunately for her, she copped a doozy of a father. If left to her own devices this would have been a much different story but hey, there wouldn’t even be a story then! I honestly had trouble seeing how she could get out of her situation and not knowing quite what was being held over her head about Mason made it all the more intriguing.

Mason, aka Gunnar, is someone who has a very short fuse in regards to his temper however it has been tempted a lot. He really made me feel for him, it’s true he didn’t always go about things the right way but a broken heart will do that to you. His love and support for his club and it’s members really shines through as well as his mum, his sister and brothers.

There are serious issues that are woven into the story, issues like bullying that no matter what, just plain isn’t acceptable. Standing up for yourself is possibly one of the hardest things to do too. Included in this book are situations and consequences, problems and solutions; some we may not always agree with but the overriding aspect is to stop being a victim and I applaud the manner in which this is tackled in the story.

With plenty of action and drama, a wonderful romance that definitely isn’t your straight forward boy meets girl etc rather a twisted up impossible romance-always the best and fantastic characters how could this be anything but a 5 star story?

A five star favourite favourite read.

Returning to the Storm world had me so excited that I was beside myself! This is a story that had me looking at how many pages I had left and stepping away so I didn’t finish it too soon but I couldn’t stay away from the angst, the heart break and the sacrifices made for love. This story twists and turns, is filled with so much emotion that I was a bundle of nervous energy just reading it. How far would you go for the one you love? How much pain are you willing to absorb to protect those that are part of your soul? Read Gunnar to find out...

Loved loved loved it! No clues to the story but let me say this is an explosive return to Storm with enough glimpses at all our favourites to feel at home and as if we have never been away. The epilogue... my heart was so happy! The promise of Wilder was music to my ears. This story is full of turmoil and testosterone, bravery and foolishness which is Nina Levine at her best. Certainly one of my favourite reads of the year.

Nina is back with a new couple who's story blew me away. This book has everything I've come to expect with the MC, the danger the passion and the characters. Everytime I think Nina won't be able to top her last book she delivers a new story to test my favourite MC. We all know these guys don't back down but I love how Nina writes strong female leads who are willing to do anything for the men they love. There is no denying the love Gunnar and Chelsea have for each other but fate seems to be always working against them. I guarantee you will fall hard and fast for them. Are they flawed characters who make mistakes absolutely they do but they own every decision they make. Nina doesn't shy away from the difficult situation that Chelsea has found herself in they are hard to read but necessary to the action. Some of the previous Storm characters appear in the story which I loved. Get ready to fight for the future of the Storm MC just as much as love.

It’s been a while since the original Storm MC but let me tell you reading Gunnar will bring it all back like it was only yesterday. The bossy alpha bikers and the women by there sides all come flooding back and continue to take hold of your head and heart.
Everything we know about Storm, the good, the bad, the ugly will be back tenfold which makes this a magnificent read.

Gunnar and Chelsea’s story held so much emotion and left me riveted to the pages until the very end. It’s a wild ride of love and hate, betrayal and forgiveness, trust and faith. It’s brutal on the heart and soul but the story is that good that you push through the pain and forge on to the end.

Nina Levine has a way of making you absorb all the words and feelings her books evoke. You know it’s good when you’ve been put through the emotional wringer by the end of it and you still can’t get it out of your head and heart for days and weeks later, possibly forever.

I devoured this book in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. Nina wrote a story that took me out of my reality and I loved every minute of this book.

Gunnar and Chelsea's story is one of hope, true love and willing to do ANYTHING to be with the one you love. Chelsea made a deal that she felt was the right one to save Gunnar, only to find out no matter what deals she made, it was never enough. Gunnar and Chelsea have a love that can't be denied, no matter how hard each one tries to ignore their feelings.

This book can be read as a stand alone, however I highly recommend you read the other books in the series to understand who all the characters are in the book.

This is not your typical romance story!
The politicians daughter and the outlaw biker?
Really? Really!
This angsty love story is an intense, bold and gripping story that blends enemies to lovers, haters to lovers, opposites attracting second chance. Phew!
Gunnar and Chelsea are 2 explosive fierce and strong characters who give as good as they get.
They share a past going back to childhood. When they see each other again it’s not all smooth sailing but a bumpy choppy stormy ride! They can’t be together or apart! They can be spiteful and mean and hateful, then...hot and passionate as frack!
How it all comes together for Gunnar and Chelsea is well worth finding out!

Gahhh this book was amazing! I have loved Gunnar the entire series but I had no idea I’d fall this hard for! The angst was crazy and I couldn’t get! Nina once again nails another book and leaves me wanting more!

I started my journey with Nina in January 2020. I was on an MC binge and hadn't realised I actually had a set of her books on my kindle I had yet to read.
Fast forward to yesterday and I had gone thru all Nina's MC series, and other standalones not MC related. It had kept me sane through the Covid 2020 lockdown and subsequent months at home.
Then Gunnar arrived on my kindle yesterday and I had purposely kept away from the sneak peeks we had been given as I wanted to just immerse myself in this book all at once. I was lucky enough to recieve an early copy, but that did not stop me from also Pre-ordering my very own copy on my kindle, as I believe in supporting authors regardless if I recieve that ARC or not. I wanted Gunnar right or wrong befoe I had even read his and Chelsea's story.
The title might read Gunnar, but I believe it is as much Chelsea's story as well as our MC Alpha Gunnar also.
OMFG I floved it, Gunnar and Chelsea. Two people frodm very similar "Privileged Worlds".
One is immersed still in that world being Chelsea, and Gunnar who chose his MC Family "brothers" over his own, although still close to his siblings, it is the actual world and his parents life that he leaves behind.
These two have had a love since early teens, but due to Chelsea's fathers interfering, it ended it before it began.
Once again when they realise they are meant to be together and rekindle their romance. Chelsea has her hand forced one more time by her father, but this time there is no getting out of this one. Chelsea has to choose whether to save the man she loves and his MC brothers or not.
At times I found it difficult to imagine being Chelsea and what she had to do and be when she agreed to marry a man of her father's choosing, and this was no fake marriage.
Then my heart broke for the man who loved her "Gunnar" and how he had to watch on and then find himself around her constantly due to his MC's involvement with her new husband.
I absolutley love when we get two P.O.V's .
Gunnar and the torment he went thru and the rage and hate he felt towards the woman who took his heart and broke it, not once but twice. There would be no 3rd.
Iloved how this story was more about our characters, as much as I love MC and the story did have the MC involved, the story was their’s.
How do you move on from the love of your life, one in a marriage that she wants no part of, and the other has to watch the woman he loves with another man, and not knowing the secrets that she carries, just to save him once again.
I can not get enough of Nina Levine and her words, that she magically puts together to bring us
"The Storm MC". Gunnar is a man who loves with all his heart and soul, and he's not giving up on Chelsea.

Wow this book is everything we have come to want from Nina and our favourite Storm MC. Mason 'Gunnar' Blaise certainly ticks all the boxes and so many more, having turned his back on the privileged life he grew up around he's found his place with the men of Storm but when connections from his past threaten his club will he be able to see through the lies, heartache and destruction or will it swallow him and the club whole.

Chelsea Novak may be seen as the Premiers Princess but not all is as it seems, she finds herself in a situation where she's lost all hope of a happily everafter and is clinging to life by her fingertips.

One thing is certain that when Gunnar and Chelsea come together the explosions and heat will be felt by everyone.

The Storm MC are some of my favorite fictional characters and having more books about them is like feeding a drug habit... more, please! Just set up an IV infusion of stories and I will be happier than a pig in poo!

This story is quite intense, scratch that it is definitely intense! I mean to love somebody yet be denied the chance of being with them is hard but to have them forced into your life over and over again reopening that wound is heartbreakingly devastating.

Chelsea... oh Chelsea, she is a strong, determined young woman but it’s so true you can’t pick your family, and unfortunately for her, she copped a doozy of a father. If left to her own devices this would have been a much different story but hey, there wouldn’t even be a story then! I honestly had trouble seeing how she could get out of her situation and not knowing quite what was being held over her head about Mason made it all the more intriguing.

Mason, aka Gunnar, is someone who has a very short fuse in regards to his temper however it has been tempted a lot. He really made me feel for him, it’s true he didn’t always go about things the right way but a broken heart will do that to you. His love and support for his club and its members really shine through as well as his mum, his sister, and brothers.

There are serious issues that are woven into the story, issues like bullying that no matter what, just plain isn’t acceptable. Standing up for yourself is possibly one of the hardest things to do too. Included in this book are situations and consequences, problems, and solutions; some we may not always agree with but the overriding aspect is to stop being a victim and I applaud the manner in which this is tackled in the story.

With plenty of action and drama, a wonderful romance that definitely isn’t your straight forward boy meets girl, etc rather a twisted up impossible romance-always the best and fantastic characters how could this be anything but a 5-star story?

Right, I am gonna start honestly here. I was worried when I realized that Gunner was from the original Storm MC series. Not because of the writing or the story but because of the timeline and the amount of time that has past. However, there was no need. Entering back into Scott & Cos world was nothing short, of feeling like being home.

This book is hard to talk about, its a brutal read, a hard subject but it's a fantastic story. For me, enemies to lovers are one of the best troupes and this was that on steroids. Lovers to enemies and back again to lovers was a joy to read. This book is fueled by hurt, pain, and heartbreak but what you don't really see until it all clicks into place. Is the biggest thing that fuels this story is a forever kind of love. One that never goes away and never dies.

For me, Gunner and Chelsea are a couple that rivals all my favorites and maybe even takes top place. I did get really frustrated at points and wanted to scream and throw things. But I refrained and my kindle thankfully survived. However, I wanted to hurt more than a few characters within this book.

I have kept my review vague and slightly empty of information. That's on purpose as I really don't think I needed to say more. This book needs to read first hand. The unraveling of this story is worth the wait, its brilliant and keeps you holding your breath at points and the words that are uttered twice in this book will stay with me for a long time "I need you". Even now brings a lump to my throat.

This book is a huge recommendation from me. I totally love The Storm MC world and I am so glad Nina Levine went back to the original Storm MC men. A great read and addition.
