I live for anthologies. It always gives me a chance to get words from some of my favorite authors or it introduces me to new ones. This collection was a bit of both for me. For anyone out there that loves the dark side of horror, then this is a great collection. I loved where the proceeds of this story go to because it is a great cause.

First Kill by Krystle Able - 4 stars
Good storytelling with details that definitely made this a story of revenge that left me on the edge of my seat.

Alibis by Michelle Brown - 5 stars
This author is one to never leave me disappointed when it comes to her stories. She is great at creating a story that sucks her audience in, even if it makes them uncomfortable.

Breaking Glass by Virginia Johnson - 4 stars
I was a little lost in this story but once it started to make sense, I enjoyed it. I would have liked it even more if it had been fleshed out more but I understand that it would be hard to do in a novella of this length.

Stella by Emery LeeAnn - 5 stars
This was my favorite of the anthology. This one takes on new meaning to the old adage of an eye for an eye. It was disturbing but I loved the way that the Stella took her power back. It was left on a to be continued ending and I hope she continues this because I was intrigued by what was left for the future and with the character Brandon.

No Escape by Faith Ryan - 5 stars
This was my second favorite of the story and definitely was another one that showcased the reasons why revenge is is warranted.

Hush Little Baby by Taryn Steele – 4 stars
This was a hard one to read. I am rounding up to a 4 because it was compelling storytelling but felt it didn’t really fit into the anthology as much because it wasn’t as much about revenge.

Silence by Ally Vance – 4.5 stars
This story left me wanting more. There is a lot of story in a short story. I would love if this was expanded into a full story.

Silent Screams by JM Walker – 4.5 stars
Definitely some twists in this one that I didn’t see coming. Very descriptive and unsettling but also intriguing.

Suspended In Blood by Shannon Youngblood - 5 stars
This author has one of the craziest of minds. I know whenever I go into a story of hers that she is going to push my comfort zone to the very edge. Yet, that is what draws me to her. I definitely didn’t see that end coming.

Sinister Corruption by Willow Ridley - 4 stars
This story reminded me of the Saw movies with the tasks that were given to the characters. I wanted to understand more of the why and how’s that made this story. I struggled with that part but I rounded the story up to a 4 because it did hold my attention.

Mother Mary Joseph and all that is Holy! No Escape is just that! There is no escaping this short little novella from the impact on your mind. Faith Ryan will take you on a short, epic and down-right delusional tailspin right from beginning to end. She holds you captive just like her characters and Oh, my word... I want her to write more just like this! Incredible. Insane. Mind-blowing! I loved every beat of this twisted story!!

"she's the other half of me...
I'm the hate-filled, evil, revengeful bitch you created."

If this story is just like all the other authors novella, make no mistake this anthology will top the charts!

ALIBIS by Michelle Brown

Holy guacamole! Michelle Brown once again leaves me speechless and begging for more with another of her fav novellas! Seriously, it’s never enough. Alibis is just another perfect example of Ms. Browns fab pacing and great writing. The story never misses a beat and kept me flying through the pages.

I loved me some Priscilla. The woman begins as a victim and ends with her getting her well deserved revenge. Despite this being a novella the story had sprinkles of steam and suspense that made all the more enticing. Really enjoyed it! 5 stars.

First of all I gotta say that this was definitely a very very short read. But still it has that kick Mrs. Brown knows how to put in her books.

Blown away. I just finished Stella by Emery LeeAnn and man what a ride. Stella takes you for a ride into the darkness and brings you back wanting more. Vengeance is best served bloody. I will think of my air frier in a whole new way. This story definitely left me wanting more. After what these 4 men did to Stella and then to throw her in a dumpster, they deserve all she dishes out plus more.

Silence: A Fractured Novella by Ally Vance

A real strong sibling bond in this twisted and disturbing read. Is there anything Lynsey Mills won't do for her brother? I don't think so. She is looking for revenge for Zane and she sure as hell gets it.

I'm predicting a whole bunch of horror and bloodshed from the Anthology.

Review of Silent Scream by JM Walker
I receive this book from the author for an honest review.

Holy Mother….I cant even begin to discuss this story with you until I say BE READY!!

This story is about 2 girls who find themselves in a bad situation. They are kidnapped and will be sold over and over and over. Seems like bad luck until their circumstance change. Yo. It’s a crazy game changer that happens!!

Seriously, I don’t even know what to say in this review because I don’t want to give any of the twists away but DAYUM I was kicked off my arse. I knew JM WAS twisted and yet I had no clue she was THIS twisted!!

Wow this anthology was crazy. It has your squeamish parts and your shocking parts but it’s an awesome read. These authors know how to put horror into words, they know how to make the readers say ew and love it.

Scream Queens is about ten horror stories, that’ll have you making sure you don’t piss off someone in high school, treat a child as an opportunity, Mistreat a loved one, have babies when you don’t want to, depend on someone you love to help you, believe the hate from a spouse, go out late with your friends, hurt someone for not dancing, hurt one’s family and steal and sale what’s not yours.

I’m glad I read this book and happy it was for a good charity.
