I honestly didn't think I had what it takes to write a full-length novel, but once I faced the blank screen and my fingers touched the keyboard, everything disappeared except my characters and their surroundings, and suddenly I knew that this was what I was born to do.
Since then, I've written many books and have enjoyed some positive reviews, but sometimes, when I stop to reflect, I'm still amazed that I'm living my dream.

Absolutely love this book and the whole series. Sad to have finished it but this book was so good

I just finished the last book, #9, and I have to say this is one of the best series that I've read. Irina Shapiro is a fantastic author!

Past, present and trauma
I love this series and its interesting historical storylines. The history loving nerd is captivated by a new and fascinating period in history as Quinn Allenby’s uses her ability to see into the past. These stories are rich and vibrant and full of real and relatable characters. As interesting and engrossing as the story of the past life is, the drama in Quinn’s life in the present is equally captivating. This author always creates two separate but parallel thought provoking, emotional, and completely unputdownable tales set in totally different time periods, starring totally different characters, and then somehow merges them together to create a cohesive and captivating tale. Quinn is an archeologist and historian who has the ability to see events from past lives when touching significant items owned by the deceased. It has been almost three years since Quinn used her gift. But in this story, Rhys once again asks for her help when a 200 year old skeleton is unearthed in his yard with only a single silver ring buried with it. I immediately fell into the parallel stories of Quinn and Jocelyn and the idea that sometimes people are at crossroads and unsure what path to take. Just as Jocelyn’s past comes for her, so does Quinn’s. Interwoven in the separate journeys are thought provoking social, gender, war, psychological and family issues which add depth and richness to the story as a whole. I love this series and Quinn’s story arc as she struggles with her birth origins, her gift, the additions to her family, and the pain that has caused.

Loved the Echoes from the Past Series!
I wholeheartedly enjoyed all nine of the Echoes from the Past series! Quinn Allenby Russell is one of most interesting heroines I’ve ever enjoyed reading about with her ability to learn about the past through items found on murder victims. The last book in the series, The Lost left the door open to new books in the series and I’m hoping that will happen. I have absolutely loved every bookI’ve read by Irina Shapiro and highly recommend her!

The Lost
What a fantastic ending to this breathtaking series. I've enjoyed all of the books and cannot decide which one was my favorite. I guess Jo (Quinton) ,Brett, and his great grandmother were my least favorite characters, but every book needs a villain . I want to thank Irina Shapiro for writing this series and entertaining me this past week. I cannot wait to read the whole series again.

Hooked from start to finish
Throughly enjoyed the series and this was a great end to it but sad too that it is the last but I think it had reached its conclusion. I found the end rather teary with the final scene so that tells me it was excellent writing. Only thing I would say is Seth and Brett’s part at the end could have been more fleshed out. Thanks Irina for keeping me entertained for many weeks.

The last in the series didn't disappoint it was great!
Having found book 8 not the best I was unsure whether to continue the series but with this 1 being the last in the series I felt I must and I'm pleased I did. I felt the book was great; it had suspense in both the historical story and the modern day, the characters had depth and the pace was good enough to keep you engrossed. I liked the multi-stories that ran through it it was a great ending to a good series.

I’m feeling a little disappointed that this is how the author left this series. Both the historical element and the main character’s story were less than stellar.
The series overall was a relatively strong 4.1 to 4.5⭐️ up until the half way mark and then seemed to lose steam. Kinda felt like the author may have just been churning books out at that point. However, I was invested so forged on.

This book was riveting until the end. I loved all the books in this series but this was the only one that made me cry with sadness.
When Quinn is given a ring off a skeleton found on the outskirts of a mansion, her gift of finding out the victims story takes many roads. It is not the victims story though it is the story of the lady who he raped, stole her ring and left her for dead.

Well, I enjoyed all nine of the books… I do have several questions:
1) how did the visions roll out so conveniently in chronological order?
2) how is it that every person speaks is in modern English despite the time or the country in which division occurs?
3) and do Brits actually raise such demanding, self-absorbed, irritating children as Emma?

This whole series has been really compelling. I have been really impressed with Irina Shapiro's accurate telling of historical enents while creating amazing characters with appealing stories. This installment started started slow on the past side but it picked up within a couple of chapters and I couldn't put it down! As always, I love Quinn's story! I can't wait for book 10!

The Lost had me worrying about Quinn and her family while simultaneously being dragged into Jocelyn’s dangerous life as a spy in 1777 New York—because apparently Irina Shapiro decided one timeline of stress simply wasn’t enough. 😂
By the end I was emotionally exhausted, completely invested, and wondering why I keep volunteering for this treatment. Naturally, I loved it. 😂❤️

One of the Best!
Amazing as always.... Echos From the Past are always exceptional but #9 goes beyond exceptional. Many “family” situations are sorted throughout this tale as well as an intriguing “Past” being explored and unfolded!

Brilliant as always!!
I have read all of the Echoes books and this one is one of my favourites. It flows excitingly from past to present. Keeping the reader eager to know what is happening next.

An Absolute Must Read!
I really enjoyed the unseen events this author puts in place. Once you read the first in this series, you can't stop until you have finished all of the books.

The Prologue is not related to the Echo from the Past.
Glad that the door is left open for more books in this series. Would like to know more about Seth and Kathy.
Irina Shapiro does not disappoint with her themes and subjects. I'm sure Quinn is an Enneagram 1.

Book Review
I loved this series so much! Couldn't put the books down. Sad to see it come to an end. I thought I wouldn't like these books and hesitated to start them, but finished the whole series in record time. They are worth the read and hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Confused- beware slight spoiler
I have really enjoyed the series that goes from the past, especially the unexpected twists that each story contains. But, I can't figure out how the prologue of the Lost matches up to the story having now finished the book.

Interesting end but not my favorite book in this series. I feel too much time was spent in the past with very little information. Glad the present worked out but too many loose ends. Hopefully there will be another book!

Finally a Happy Ending!
I loved the happy ending of 1777. Was not surprised about Brett and realized there was a sociopath in Brett and Jo's past. The last scene with Brett was chilling.

Couldn’t put it down.
I have mixed emotions about this being the last in the Echoes of the Past series. Every tale has been exceptional and gripping. And I know I would read every one if there were more. However, right now I am exhausted from this last tale.

Loved this series!
I thought all of the books were really well written! I enjoyed getting to know the main character and her interesting family. The trips back in time were fascinating reads!

Oh wow, I've read all 9 books now! I've loved every page of Quinns gift. It has been a tough read in some places, shocking and addictive. I read these books very quickly. I am hoping Quinns story isn't over.

The only complaint I have would be having stayed up all night binge reading but I did the same thing with all the books in this series.

What a great book !! A Binge reader black hole for sure. I did nothing until I finished this book. I mean almost nothing!! minimal personal hygiene, junk food, and lots of couch time.
Please write another book!!!

All of the Echoes books are excellent, but the later ones are even better. I hope MS. Shapiro will find the time to continue the series.
