Perfect Book if Your Little Princess is Learning How to Count
There are so many little girls who are into the princess theme. This book would be right up those little girls’ alleys. It's a basic count-the-object, shape, or color book, but it features princesses throughout, and most pages to be counted have some sort of a princess theme. There's even a little girl power thrown in there as well. For instance, there was a page of various objects and a group of tough-looking, action-oriented princesses, one even with a shield and a sword. The question on that page was how many princesses need rescuing. The answer? Zero.
At the very beginning of the book, a page shows your little princess the amount that each number represents. And on the answer pages for each counting scenario, the number is shown with a similar diagram beneath and points out the ones that correctly answered the question on the previous pages. So if she misses any, she can go back and specifically look for whatever she missed. I also thought that the one page about princes was funny, and I'm sure it’s humor that even a young child could appreciate. In that one, there were pictures of princes with crowns and frogs with and without crowns. The question was about the number of princes, including ones that had been turned into frogs! Love that. So if you have a little girl who loves princesses and is learning her numbers, she just might fall in love with this charming, well-illustrated counting book.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
