Saving Sienna by Katie Reus
3rd book in the MacArthur Family series. Romantic suspense. Can be read as a stand-alone.
Sienna is a Private Investigator. She prefers to help and work for the underdog and often takes photos of cheating spouses. When her home is broken into and a client connection ends up dead, she calls on Detective Carson Irish to help hide and figure out why she’s now a target. Carson promises to help and decides he also needs her back in his bed. Their wedding date hookup wasn’t enough for him.

Sexy, steamy and suspenseful, this book moves fast . It’s my favorite of the series because you can feel the heat between these two. More, he is respectful of her job and we know his feelings for her run deep. Irresistible.

I received a copy of this from NetGalley. I also purchased a copy to share.

This is another great novella filled with plenty of drama and suspense and written with characters that already had a past relationship. Everything that makes a novella work for me. With a hero and heroine that both work in dangerous fields, they reconnect as they try to find the bad guy, work out their own issues, and give in to the smexy urgings that have never gone away.

Sexy Kissing Through Scent – Burgundy Fox

I loved that Carson was protective without ever crossing the line. I was concerned Sienna might end up being too tough for more liking but she was perfect. She knew when she needed help and never did the “too stupid” heroine things. Both were wonderful characters, strong, fierce, loyal and totally likable.

A perfect read for a quick break with plenty of action and lots of steam.

My favorite thing about Saving Sienna is that the hero, Carson, was completely smitten with Sienna. I’m a big fan of guy-chase-girl stories. Sienna does do a bit of resisting but I felt like it was a lot and we got some great, quality couple time with these two. I’m enjoying this series of novellas. They are great, feel good romances.

Read this review on Got Fiction? Book Blog

I have really enjoyed this series, and I hope this book isn’t the last we see of this world.

Sienna MacArthur is a PI and Carson Irish is a cop. Sienna plays fast and loose, Carson is by the book. But when they get together, none of that matters.

Other than a couple of exciting nights a few months back, she does her best to coolly acknowledge him and that is all. After all, his sister is married to her brother and if they dated and things went south for Carson and Sienna, family events would be awkward. Or at least that’s Sienna’s line of thought. Sienna has a hang up about long-term relationships. Previous men have found her job exciting at first until they realize she’s in danger, then suddenly they no longer want her doing it. Unfortunately she sort of assumes Carson will be the same.

But as he is doing something unrelated, he sees Sienna dive off of a yacht and swim for shore. He hauls her up and gets her to her car. They wind up at his apartment, and he seems frustrated that she’s put herself in danger. He feels she’s taking unnecessary risks, and she feels he disapproves. But they have to put that all aside when someone breaks into Sienna’s house. Is it related the the case she was working on when he found her swimming for shore? He can’t work her case, but he can put himself on guard duty. The two of them work well together and he is patient. She is going stir crazy being cooped up, and they both know exactly how to burn off that restless energy.

I love this series, and I enjoyed Carson and Sienna together. They were smart, sexy, and they worked well together. I love how patient he is, letting her come to him, but I also love that he knows when to take charge. Katie Reus writes exciting and sexy books, and this one worked for me. I can’t wait to see what she’s doing next!

This time it's Sienna's turn to find her HEA. She is a private investigator which brings some level of danger with it. But when a masked man breaks into her home she will need the help of detective Carson Irish, who she had a few passionate nights with. Forced to spend time together they will have to confront their feelings for each other. And survive, of course.
My favorite one in this series. There was way more suspense than in previous books, with chases and break-ins and assassination attempts. Carson is definitely my favorite guy out of all three books. So calm and sure of what he wants. And the epiloge was really sweet. If you want to read good and quick romances I recommend this series.
Thank you to Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

SAVING SIENNA is the third instalment in Katie Reus’ contemporary, adult MACARTHUR FAMILY romantic suspense series of novellas focusing on the MacArthur Family. This is PI Sienna MacArthur, and Detective Carson Irish’s story line. SAVING SIENNA can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Sienna and Carson) SAVING SIENNA follows the building romance and relationship between private investigator Sienna MacArthur, and Detective Carson Irish. Four months earlier Sienna and Carson spent one glorious night together but Sienna ghosted Carson the next morning. Fast forward to present day wherein, while working on a case, Sienna is ‘saved’ by Carson. A break in at her home has Sienna calling in a favor from our story line hero, a favor that finds our couple on the run when a couple of Sienna’s clients are murdered, and our heroine is targeted by an unknown assailant. What ensues is the second chance, building romance and relationship between Sienna and Carson, and the potential fall-out as our couple struggle to stay one-step ahead of the person gunning for our story line heroine.

The relationship between Sienna and Carson is one of second chances, of a sorts. Four months earlier, Sienna’s brother, and Carson’s sister were married placing our couple together for one night of fun but Carson never forgot about our story line heroine, and found himself wondering what happened, and where everything went wrong. Sienna MacArthur knows her lifestyle can be dangerous, and isn’t willing to place anyone in the direct line of fire including Detective Carson Irish but Carson knows danger first hand, and isn’t willing to accept Sienna’s excuses any longer. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.

We are reintroduced to Kathryn and Daniel (Falling for Irish #1), Brodie MacArthur (Unintended Target 2); Detective Julian Ruiz, as well as several clients for which our heroine works. The requisite evil has many faces.

SAVING SIENNA is a story of betrayal and vengeance, family and relationships, desperation and murder. The premise is intriguing and captivating; the romance is seductive ; the characters are animated and energetic. Another wonderful instalment in Katie Reus’s MACARTHUR FAMILY series of novellas.

This is my favourite of the three. While I enjoyed the previous two Carson made this book for me. I do love a good rugged tattooed man who loves a woman and isn’t afraid to make his interest known.

I also really liked Sienna. She’s smart, tough with not a hint of stupid in sight. This is an often under appreciated quality. I’m quite a picky reader and I’ve managed for quite a while to avoid books featuring a female so stupid it’s a wonder she can dress herself. My run came to an end earlier this week so trust me when I say I really appreciated Sienna.

Anyway I digress.

This novella was an entertaining little read. Romance bubbled throughout with a mystery/ crime story to keep it interesting.

Saving Sienna was a great read. That was fast-paced, full of sparks, a little mystery and great characters. And I was hooked from start to finish. I just wish it had been longer as I could've read so much more from Sienna and Carson.

Would recommend.

Will she understand not all men are from the same mold...

Finally the story of the girl of the family.
I have been curious about Sienna since she has been introduced in the first book.
Like her brother, she manages her own business, but works rather alone.
Her line of work does not put human nature under the best light, plus some heart’s disappointments, and she prefers to avoid any entanglement by fear to be once more rejected for whom she is.
Carson has tried to break Sienna’s defenses but she keeps running and avoiding him.
But now she has need of his help, he is determined to not let her slip again.
I loved Carson, he knows what, well who he wants. And while not stalking her, he is not one to be left behind without acting, he sees past her inner reservations and is one to show her she can trust him. Sienna is certain he will be like her other lovers, she does not even gave him a chance to prove her wrong, until she realizes she might have been a bit in a hurry to label him.

Saving Sienna is the last novella in the MacArthur Family series by Katie Reus and it focuses on the sister, Sienna and Carson who is the brother to her new sister in law from the first novella, Falling for Irish.

Sienna is a PI and is currently working on a case where a marriage couple is going through a divorce and the husband is trying to hide assets, like a yacht. Sienna is aboard the yacht taking pictures for her case when she hears voices and jumps ship (literally) in order to not get caught but before she does she gets a photo of the hubby and two other men.

Carson sees Sienna jump off the yacht and tells her to come to his place to change into dry clothes. Carson being a detective asks questions about her case. After some sexual tension Sienna leaves Carson’s place to continue about her day and he, his. But they are done with each other just yet, there’s a murder and someone breaks into Sienna’s house. Thinking the two events are connected, Carson gets Sienna to stay with him for safety.

Carson hasn’t gotten over Sienna and wants more than just a casual hook up they had a few months ago. Sienna has been burned before and once Carson tried to move them to the next level she was out.

Saving Sienna is fast paced, action filled, sexy second chance romance. I look forward to more stories from Katie Reus. I’ve enjoyed this suspenseful contemporary romance series some so of her other series in the past. If you’re looking for great characters and sexy romances you should pick up one of her titles today.

Sienna is a Private Investigator. She works hard and is dedicated to her job. However , there is one problem - she's been known to break a few rules. When she meets Detective Carson Irish at Daniel and Kathleen's wedding sparks fly. However, Sienna doesn't want to commit which made me sad. Carson is perfect for her. I loved how smitten he is. When Sienna find herself in danger, she goes to Carson for help. She knows that she can trust him. I'm glad that she did. He's a protector. Can they stay one step ahead of a killer who is a pro? This story kept me on the edge of my seat. The action is nonstop as the body count keeps growing. I didn't want Carson and Sienna to become victims. I want them to be happy and have a future together. Katie Reus wrote a wonderful, romantic story. I loved her characters.

This is the third book in the MacArthur family series. Sienna MacArthur is a private investigator. Carson Irish is a detective and is also Sienna's brother, Daniel's, brother in law. When someone breaks into Sienna house and steals her old laptop and camera, Carson is determined to keep her safe. I loved this book. I think this is my favorite of the series. It was very fast paced and I loved the suspense scenes. Carson and Sienna make an adorable couple. I liked how how Carson knows what he wants and goes and gets it. They don't try to change each other which is great. I received this ARC from netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This super quick, highly enjoyable standalone romantic suspense has PI Sienna MacArthur making enemies with the wrong people, leaving it up to Detective Carson Irish to do his utmost to protect her. Not that she can’t protect herself, but it seems that neither of them mind a bit of one on one personal protection. Bodies are piling up left, right and centre, and it’s only a matter of time before they’re found. They need to get a step ahead, and work out who’s after Sienna, and why. Fast paced, sexy and addictive. I loved both Carson and Sienna, they were a formidable team. For a novella this story sure packed a punch.

Another fun read from one of my favorite authors. Although there are characters from previous books dotted throughout, this is truly a standalone. A fun romance with a smidge of suspense, Carson and Sienna were a great couple. He’s a police detective who plays by the book, and she is a wild card private detective. They have a bit of history but Sienna isn’t sure she wants a relationship. What is fun is knowing that Carson is very smitten and determined to get the girl. Sienna is a strong independent woman and I do love that. Overall, a cute quick read with some fun characters!

Katie Reus has done it again, with bringing us another very satisfying, enjoyable novella. There is a solid story line, suspense, intrigue, crazy hot chemistry between PI Sienna and Detective Carson. Final Mac Arthur sibling to get her HEA. Sienna and Carson had hooked up at her brother and his sister's wedding. Then she puts a halt to it. Now she's in danger and he's helping her figure it out. I didn't really understand their relationship. It was a little all over the place. I didn't enjoy this one as much as her brothers' books.

Having Her Back!!!

Sienna MacArthur, a P. I. who always did things her own way. She had ways of getting what she wanted that others would never understand. She liked to break a few rules if it meant getting the end results she needed. Her latest case was one she couldn't refuse, she was helping a client get what she deserved from her lying husband.

While doing her job, she landed right in the middle of some trouble, thankfully her sister-in-law Kathryn's ( FALLING FOR IRISH ) brother was at the right place at the right time.

Carson Irish, a detective who was falling hard and fast for a spitfire, sassy, beautiful and fierce P. I. named Sienna MacArthur. When the latter found herself in danger, he was the only one who could help her out. Even if it meant getting his heart broken. As they tried to figure out who was after her, their relationship took a new turn.

Together and with the help of fellow law enforcers they got the culprit(s). And before they got their HEA, both Carson and Sienna had to put all their cards on the table. I loved their banter and the dynamic between them. They were both honest about what they wanted out of their relation.

SAVING SIENNA is the third installment in Katie Reus's MACARTHUR FAMILY series. It was beautiful and intriguing. Katie Reus did a marvelous job! 5++++

Series: MacArthur Family #3
Rating: 3 stars - I liked it

Private Investigator Sienna MacArthur is known for getting the job done. When she becomes the target of an unknown threat she reaches out to the sexy Detective Carson Irish for help. She trust him to keep her safe, but she is also terrified of letting him get closer.

This was an enjoyable couple. Sienna and Carson were both great characters. I liked how tough and determined Sienna was. She really was a great PI and went out of her way to help her clients. Carson was a protective man but he understood Sienna could take care of herself. He understood her dedication to the job and didn’t stand in the way of it. He was very supportive and just the right man for an independent woman like Sienna.

My only issue really was the reason why Sienna pushed Carson away to begin with. I thought it was a little shallow but everything worked out for them in the end. The suspense of this book was pretty good as well. I enjoyed the chase of finding the bad guy, even if a lot of it was done electronically. Overall, a great book for the MacArthur family’s last sibling.

This one was a whole lot better than the first two in the series. I’m almost tempted to change the other books to a 2-star rating compared to this one. This one had the suspense in true Katie Reus style. Meaning even if you knew who, there was a twist and you had to think, and still you didn’t know. Even if you knew. You know?

It suffers a little under being a novella. It’s simply too short to have any real character development. But that’s to be expected. It’s always going to be insta-love in a novella.

After the first two books, I did consider not reading this one. I’ve been comparing these to Katie Reus’ novels, and it’s probably an unfair comparison. But I ended up reading this one since I wasn’t sure what to pick up next. And I’m glad. Def the best book in the series. Oh, and the model looks NOTHING like the main character in the book. I wish Ms Reus had found a different model/photo for this. He’s much sexier in the book than the cover-model…

DNF at chapter 9. Unfortunately, I was very lost, because it seemed the hero and heroine knew each other from the beginning, and apparently slept together (not in the current book) but previous books, which I have yet to read. No context was given, and I felt i was just thrown into a situation which I knew nothing about. Author should have given some context at least so I know what’s happening.

So up to chapter 9, I only know that the hero wants a chance with the heroine but heroine refuses to and now they’re both thrust into a sticky situation with murders around and they need to be together to be safer. I didn’t see the chemistry or banter between hero and heroine and it was difficult for me to like them as I didn’t know them well, with lack of explanation on author’s part. Not feeling like finishing the book.

Wow! Another swoon-worthy novella for the MacArthur Family. This was the third book and was for the last single MacArthur sibling. It was fast paced with plenty on intrigue, action, and twists and turns. The three novellas overlap some so reading them in order is best. Carson and Sienna were likable and so perfect for each other. They were opposites but complimented each other. Both had dangerous jobs, but they were respectful and understanding of each other’s dedication to their jobs. It was entertaining and I hate to see the end of the series, but I hope we see the siblings again in a future book.

A nice little romance which is a quick read

Finally the book with the MacArthurs' sister, a private detective who has a knack for finding herself in trouble =) The book deserved to be longer but it was a pleasant read =D

In short, a romance with a touch of suspense perfect for journeys by train =)

Saving Sienna- MacArthur Family Series book3

This was an amazing addition to this series with Carson finally breaking down the walls around Sienna and letting him in. Ever since his sister's Kathryn wedding when they ended up together he has wanted to be with her. They dated for three months but she was afraid of getting her heart broken again so she walked away. Now she had someone out to kill her and he was not leaving her side again. This was an action packed love story as Sienna and Carson got their happily ever after and took down the bad guy together. This was a fantastic romance and I highly recommend it.
