Rate this book
What does it feel like to die? What does the afterlife look like? Who are the Council of Elders and how do they assist in planning your next life? Who are members of your soul family and what role did they play in your past lives as well as in your current life? What are the karmic issues and attributes you brought into this life? Using past-life regression to identify a significant former life, followed by an exploration of the afterlife to experience the pre-life planning session for this life, this book answers the most commonly asked questions about death and rebirth. In thinking about your life, you will discover that you did, indeed, do it to yourself for the greatest reason of all—your soul’s growth.

Fascinating new concepts for me to contemplate. Kudos to the author for her scientific efforts in establishing "proof" of the afterlife, and in particular the life between lives experience for souls (transition time between incarnations). The author proposes the time between lives can be productive and systematic in its purpose and outcomes even though each individual's experience is unique to them. Because the book is largely presenting the scientific case-studies, I found the reading pleasure slightly less engaging than a non-fiction book trying to convey the same concepts. Other books on the subject, such as books by Michael Newton or the Michael Newton Institute, have a more enjoyable reading flow, in my opinion. But this is the book that led me to the other books so I give it all the credit for that and its scientific efforts.

Painful at times, hard to get through. For some reason the accounts weren’t as compelling as what is in the Newton books I’ve read. To he honest, I think it was the author’s writing. There were some good parts; books like this always inspire and give me hope. But there were other stand out things I really disagreed with.

Ms. Dimaggio points out where her research differs from findings of Michael Newton and others, as the universe has infinite possibilities. The first chapters are summaries based upon topics, and the last part of the book are detailed case studies. I found the detailed case studies more readable as they gave a better overview of the individuals and their past lives.

Really gave me pause for thought.

Very enlightening , for one I didn't realize how soon and then again the distance of souls returning and the closeness of family traveling in and out of lives with you.

An interesting book about past lives

The author does past life sessions with her patients and demonstrates how karma affects our relationships in future lives. A fascinating discussion!
