Words Hurt

The woman in this book was physically and mentally abused. Her rescuer didn’t know he wanted love until it smacked him between the eyes. Great read. Big D

This is a wonderful addition to the series. While you don't have to read the prior books to fully understand this one, I would definitely recommend it.

Fitzpatrick is driving a wagon and comes across a woman laying on the side of the road. He barely missing her by inches. She looks terrible. Fitzpatrick at first thinks she is dead. She looks worst for wear. It appears that she has been badly beaten. The woman wakes up with no knowledge of who she is and what happened to her. Fitzpatrick rides his horse back to the place where he found her. He locates a letter addressed to Brenna.

These two have many hurdles to overcome. One being Fitzpatrick really doesn't want to get marriage but he has already started to call on someone from church. Another hurdle, is Brenna married? Other issues arise as time goes on.

This story is written in a dual POV format. While these two have a little communication problem, at least the reader is able to see it and recognize the true intent. This is a sweet, clean historical romance that takes place in Texas after the Civil War.

This is also a very quick read. It is rather a simply written story but one that will delight.

When Fitzpatrick Kavanagh finds a young woman on the road, beaten and bruised, the only thing he can do is take her to his families ranch. When she comes to, she has no idea who she is nor where she came from, how she got where he found her. None at all.
He finds a letter on the road near where he found the young woman and it is addressed to Brenna. They feel this must be her name, but that is all they know.
As things progress, bits and pieces return but they are not good nor happy memories. Things escalate between Fitzpatrick, who has declared he will never marry. It now seems her father and her intended groom are searching for her, offering a reward. Things escalate again and Brenna is taken back by her father and intended. Can Fitzpatrick find her in time and rescue her once again?
The plot and characters in this book keep you reading until it is finished. You will not be disappointed. I loved it and have read the entire series up to this point! I am looking forward to the next book!

A clean, western, romantic read with mystery and intrigue that will capture your interest from the beginning until the end. Fitzpatrick finds a woman in the middle of the road, and he had to bring her back to the ranch to be patched up. It was decided later the woman's name was Brenna. There was an instant attraction between the two of them, but Fitzpatrick kept fighting it. Brenna had also lost her memory, so she had no idea who she was of where she was from. All they knew was from a letter a couple of years old that they thought belonged to her. Life was rough for Brenna as she did not seem to fit in anywhere. Then they found out her father had bounty out on her, and the sheriff learned the father was the one that had beaten her the first time. Then the hunt was on to find her a husband and marry her off. Fitzpatrick thought that was fine as long as it was not him. You will enjoy the action packed story as Fitzpatrick procrastinated to their happy ever after.

This is a very captivating story with great character development. This is Fitzpatrick and Brenna's story. The couple meets when Fitzpatrick finds Brenna lying beside the road seriously bruised and wounded. He takes her to the Kavanagh Ranch to be treated and cared for. Brenna, as a result of her trauma, has suffered a loss of memory. As an effort is made to determine where she has come from, the local sheriff finds out she is escaping an evil father and an undesirable would be husband. Her father comes and gets her and Fitzpatrick has to rescue her a second time. Will Fitzpatrick and Brenna reach a HEA. Be sure to read this excellent story to find out. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. This is a great series and look forward to the next Kavanagh brother's story.

The excitement starts to pick up once Fitzpatrick Kavanagh figures out that he wants the girl even though he sworn off marrying anyone.

In this story, Fitzpatrick is okay with being single, courting various ladies but mistrustful of their reasons for showing him interest. As he rides the road between the ranch and town, he finds a woman unconscious at the side of the road. He takes her home and she had no memory of who she is. She was obviously beaten judging by her bruises and injuries. A letter near her would indicate her name is Brenna White.

Soon after, Brenna’s father puts out a reward poster. Her father and the guy who is to marry her take her back. Things don’t feel right, however. By the time they figure out that she may be in danger, Fitzpatrick has to find her and rescue her. Will he find her in time?

Fitzpatrick and Brenna's story; Kavanagh brothers

This was truly a tough story of love! It started with little hope of two becoming married. Brennan is found on the road by Fitzpatrick, she was beaten, bruised and had know memory! All she had was a torn quality dress a letter to Aggie! Aggie which they ( Dolly and Kavanagh family), thought was a clue to her pass, never helped. As parts come back after a wanted poster of a father searching for his daughter from New Orleans appears from sheriff Knowles the new sheriff in their town in Texas , the Kavanagh family was surprised when two men took Brenna from church trying to get the $ 500 dollar reward! So, many ups and turns before Fitzpatrick and Brenna admit their love for one another! Another Kahleen Ball hit!

A truly emotional cowboy romance. 💞💓🤠💞

Fitzpatrick has promised himself he won't get married because he just thinks he's awkward and prefers to be alone. So when he stumbles upon "Brenna" badly beaten and left for dead in the middle of the road, he does the right thing and takes her to his family home. But when she seems to latch on to him, he gets skiddish and backs away from her. Their romance was not an easy one and it made me cry a couple of times but it was so worth it. 💗🥰💕

This is the seventh book in The Kavanagh Brothers series and it really should be read in the order it was written because each story builds onto the underlying storyline about the Kavanagh family. ❣️

Fitzpatrick is riding towards the ranchi when he comes across a woman in the road, clasps and showing signs of a severe breathing. He takes her back to the ranch where they discover that she is suffering from amnesia. From a letter found on her they think that her name is Brenna. She is attracted to Fitzpatrick, but he is determined not to have any long term relationships.
A damsel in distress type story which if you enjoy these, as I do, it will be an enjoyable read. Sweet, but not cloying, faith based, but not "preachy" it is a feel good story ideal for these things.
I did receive an advance copy of this book, however enjoyed it so much that I bought it anyway.

Form abuse to safety

This is 2020 the hundredth anniversary of women being able to vote in the United States. One of the most difficult time periods in this country was a time when women were little more than slaves. They were owned by father then husband with little protection from abusive situations . The story Nd series highlights women finding strength, safety, security, and love on a ranch owned by a group of brothers. Much of this story highlights abuse of women but there are also honorable men that treat women the way they should be treated. It is a good story. It will make you thankful to live in the year 2020.

Drama and action.
Fitzpatrick finds a beaten young woman on the trail and brings her home to care for her. The one problem is that she does not remember who she is or who hurt her so badly. This book is about the reason she was hurt and the challenges she yet needs to go through. That is just Brenna's part Fitzpatrick must decide on his feeling for Brenna. The author put these two characters through a great deal it was a captivating read. The characters are well-written as is the tale itself. This is a book I am happy to recommend. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

A good book to read

This was the seventh book in the Kavanagh Brothers series by Kathleen Ball. I love her stories. Each one captures your mind and imagination and has been a joy to read. This one was no different. In this story Fitzpatrick finds a woman, unconscious and beaten on the road, with no memory of who she was or where she came from. As time passes an attraction springs up between them but Fitzpatrick has no intention of getting married. Things get more interesting when her father and fiancé show up for her. I think all fans of clean fiction romance stories will find this to be a story they will like.

Fitzpatrick is one of the Kavanagh brothers, whilst going into town he comes across a woman on the track, she's been badly beaten. He takes her home and the wives look after her, she's got amnesia so she helps around the ranch.
Then her father and fiance have a poster put out as they're searching for her, they'd kept her locked up but she escaped.
After she's captured by bounty hunters things change but Fitzpatrick won't be coerced into marriage with her.
A good romantic suspense.

Fitzpatrick: Cowboy Reluctant!

I think this one is now my favorite in the series and I believe I say this after reading each one. Kathleen Ball gives each hero and heroine their own story of loss, angst, and then gives them hope for a HEA in this series. I enjoyed this book and all the wonderful characters in it. Will preorder the next one, Angus and after reading a teaser, I can't wait. JudyE

When Fitzpatrick finds a young woman beaten and left along the side the trail he never realized how much she would change his life. Brenna's been through so much and on top of it all she has no memory of who she is or what happened. This is a clean, historical, western romance and a great addition to The Kavanagh Brothers series. I loved how these two go through so much before they realize how much they needed the other. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Fitzpatrick: Cowboy Reluctant

Fitzpatrick was riding to town and he came across a lady laying in the road. He stopped to check her out, to see if she was dead. He discovered she was not dead but seriously injured. Someone had really beat her up. He loaded her up and took her the family ranch. Dolly started cleaning her up with the help of Ciara and Shelia. You will enjoy reading this story and how
Breanna and Fitzpatrick finally found true love. Enjoy.

A good read ,

Fitzpatrick - flirty says he doesn't want to marry but courts a girl.
Brenna- left beat up and for dead in the road. Ended up with amnesia.
I enjoyed reading this dramatic story that is well written with charismatic characters. I still wonder how and by who she ended up on the road. Their story has a sweet HEA.

A sweet story of family and love. Our feel the confusion of the main characters as they struggle withave their emotions.
The 7th in a set about 20 brothers. It gives a glimpse of life on a ranch near a small town in the west in 1800's.

Prince charming

Brenna's Prince charming doesn't want to be married, nor does he want to truly acknowledge her, but the longer she stays and ingratiates herself with the Kavanaugh women the harder it is to let her go.
