Excellent book on the American Civil War. I loved the format -- short segment(2-to-4 pages, may be 6 in a few cases) with ample pictures and sidebars. This made it easy to read it in chunks, to go back and review something, and even to skim or skip through some sections. There were individual segments not just on the battles, but on the major players and on supporting activities (supply transport, manufacture of weapons, medical care, uniforms, etc.).

Great presentation of the civil war. Format was engaging, lots of pictures, was an interesting "textbook".
