Persistent Heart will have you asking, "Dear Lord, when?!!!" because, chiiiiiiiile, where is my Lem?!!!! This was such a sexy romance. Nicolette is stuck at the airport in Atlanta on Valentine's Day because of a bad storm. She was headed to Dallas to rekindle her relationship with her ex. Now, if that storm wasn't divine intervention I don't know what was. While she's sitting in a bar contemplating life and why she's still single, in walks Lem in all his BDE glory. Lem pretty much falls instantly in love with Nicolette right there in the bar. After ear hustlin' and listening to her conversation with her BFF, Lem sweettalks himself into sitting with Nicolette and makes his case for her to come home with him to find her passion. The connection they have is so strong, Nicolette has no problem risking it all. I don't usually advocate leaving anywhere with a stranger regardless of how fine he is but, I was screaming at my iPad "Girl, you betta go home with that man!" Lem is one of those men who can make love to your mind and, honey, he was all up in Nicolette's head with his advanced word play. Over the next 24 hours, these two embark on a journey of deep intense conversation and some really hot sex. Lem backed up everything he said and then some. He lets Nicolette know he doesn't just want her for the night. He expects to have her for a lifetime. Persistent Heart was black romance personified. It will have you asking, can a person fall in love in one night? Lem helped Nicole find her passion so, absolutely! This was my first book by K.C. Mills and it did not disappoint. I look forward to reading more from her.

If I had to sum this book up in one word, it would be Damn! My gosh, this book is charming and so damn intense. I WANT MORE!!! Nicolette is stuck in the airport on Valentine’s Day due to a bad snow storm. She has plans to reconnect with her ex Thomas, yet fate intervenes in the form of a man named Lem. Lem knew Nicolette was the one the moment he set eyes on her and he stopped at nothing to make her his. Eavesdropping on a conversation with Nicolette and her best friend, Lem convinces Nicolette to spend a night with him to prove that life isn’t the same without passion. If you believe in the power that is “Love at first sight” this novella will knock you out of your socks. This couple has such a profound connection to each other, it didn’t matter that they both were in “situations”. At this point, it is entirely too late . Lem is sexy, patient and downright cocky. I admired the way he handled Nicolette. He is patient with her and made sure she was comfortable. The highlight for me was when he offered his license for her to send to someone she trusted. She didn’t take him up on the offer and that worried me. I’m like “what are you doing?”. Nevertheless. She was safe with him. Nicolette didn’t make it easy for him though. I felt he had his work cut out for him trying to convince her that he loved her and their connection was real. To be honest, their connection felt so dang real for just meeting each other that day. This is a short and quick novella but it does not lack in passion and sweetness. Nicolette definitely found her passion and Lem found his connection. This is my first read from this author and I definitely will be reading more

To the universe: please let me be stranded in the airport so I can find my passion. Nic and Lem together was so amazing beautiful I'm lost for words. Connection, Chemistry, Intensity are just a dew words to describe them together. I am so intrigued by these two its unfathomable and Lem is like a cool breeze on a hot summers day in the south #bookbae he was everything ya hear! I loved it so much and I want more I feel like I need more from them to continue to explore the depth of their love. Definitely can't wait for more from K.C. Mills

Stuck in an airport with a stranger
I think this scenario could definitely happen in Atlanta, yes I'm being judgy 😂 Lem reads like an Atl type guy. What I thought was interesting or unclear was of he is a dom bc that's what I was picking up (go wash up, eat, etc). He did check in with Nix, so maybe I'm reading too much into it but the exchanges read as possessive rather than endearing at times but the let's talk this out made up for it I think. Overall it was super fast sexy read.

Oh my gosh!!!!
This was everything!!!! I kept stopping here and there because I didn’t want it to be over. I loved Lem, a man that knows what he wants and goes after it. Nic let her guard down and took her best friend’s advice and she found her passion. This was the perfect beginning to something new 😍 now if we can get a full standalone about this airport romance I’d be in bliss. Awesome job as always 🐐💪🏾🙌🏾👏🏾

I love a love at first sight story and this one was so good!!! Nic was totally setting herself up to settle for just okay with her ex. How Lem and Nic first connected was so random, but there was clearly a soul deep connection that made their coming together make sense on a deeper level. The passion between these two was off the charts! As quick as it happened, I still left believing they would get their HEA. 5 🌟 Stars!!!

Same Vday book from previous year
Book was similar to the previous Vday book in 2019. Yea she wrote Bout books but there should be some originality. Two people meet at the bar go back and have sex and decided to be together. Last year two people meet at bar, have sex, girl gets pregnant and don’t tell him. He finds out 9 months later, he gets mad but they end up together.....Similar with some details switched out. Disappointed

Entertaining Read
I really enjoyed this novella a lot. I love the dynamics between Lem and Nic. It brought back so many memories of the romance between my husband and I. I remember like yesterday it was love at first sight and he was truly my passion. Sadly, he's no longer here with me, but I'm glad I was able to experience that type of love that everyone doesn't get a chance to experience. Thank you for this novella. It was a wonderful read.

Imagine being stranded in an airport due to bad weather and a man comes to you and ask you to spend a night with him to change your mind about giving him a chance to show you that he is what you want.
Nic and Lee met, spent a most memorable night together and decided that they both wanted to give them a try.
Even though this was a quick read, I loved every bit of it. A new chance at love when you least expect it. This is my first book by this author and I'm so ready for more!!!

Short and Spicy
I like how Lem instantly fell for Nicolette(Nic) by just hearing her voice and looking at her beautiful face. They shared a connection that was mind blowing to the both of them and the attraction that they had for each other moved them to explore it fully. Some might call it fate but I say it was their destiny.

Nic & Lem
This was a wild ride of a story. It was quick and entertaining. Something for a short flight or maybe waiting at the gate. No suspense, no drama. Just a plain story and it was quite enjoyable. There were a few spelling errors, but not so much to take away from the story. I'll definitely look more into this author's work.

Lem saw his chance and went with it. If Nicolette needed a sign, it was the delayed flight. The stranger she meets and decides to throw it all out the window for m, turns her life around and I couldn't be happier.
Sometimes what's meant for you finds you and seems unconventional but if it makes sense, go with it.
It's a short, sweet and hot read.

A night at the bar turned into so much more I didnt think that Nicolette was going to go through it but she did and I'm glad. Lemon seems like a guy that goes after what he wants and gets it .I'm glad that they met and those sex scenes explosive.

What a ride! This novella packed a sexy punch. It’s hard to connect with characters with a short read. However, K Charelle never, ever disappoints. She draws you into the the storyline and won’t let you go until the end. Masterfully done!

What the hell!
I’m mad as hell this was a novella! I wanted more! I wanted so much more. This storyline got me hooked from page one. Gon’on now K.C.... you did that! Loved it but I really wanted more😢
