A good series

All in all this is a good series if you enjoy fantasy war novels. The latest books are not edited as well as the first. The story is still clear. The constant rehashing of the Arthur, Lancelot & Guinevere is getting tiring.

Generally electromagnetic pulses won’t harm strictly electrical components. It effects electronics. Old generators and old gas vehicles or other combustion engines would still work. If coal & steam work, so will other combustion engines. The timing & controls would simply need to be mechanical / analog rather than sold state / digital.

It is possible a continuously variable electronic pulse could effect spark ignition and magnetic coils or even transformer windings. However, using simple compression & resistance heat, ie glow plugs, could overcome any such limitation for combustion engines.

Still, the stories are fun to read. It is also fun to follow a series through various sub genres, some pure post apocalyptic, some pure fantasy, some magic, some steam punk, etc. If you like this militaristic fantasy you will enjoy the series. I certainly have enjoyed it.

Book eight

Mistakes: I found three, and entire pages were the text was a darker print. I use a black background, black print doesn’t show up as well.

Plot: Building an army and lots of lopsided fighting.

Characters: New characters introduced one of them died, but was later put in charge of other soldiers. Baistion.

5/10 Very short books not worth the price. I read three books in this series in one day.

As usual a rich and entertaining story. Well written ,story line is laid out well with a great vast of characters. Please God let Netflix take notice and produce this series.

The Forever man book 9

I liked the strategy and the action another good read. I do feel that the series can only go on 1-2 books more without becoming “rote” writing of the same events with minor detail changes.
