With the lisp gone and only the occasional stumble Nefertima sounds a lot more mature than the first volume. Now that the goblins are on board, the kobolds follow suit in their various clans of doggos. Still some fluffy moments going on but mainly a protection plan slotting into place.

Endlessly cute and adorable!

I'm a big fan of the anime so I've been reading the light novels. So far they've been so close to each other, I'm assuming the anime was the adaption, that I've been having a lot of deja vu while reading. I'm looking forward to catching up to the anime and getting to new content!

This is definitely one of those series that has so much cute that it could give you a toothache if you weren't desperately needing some cute, lol! That said, it's a wonderful change of pace from the very serious stuff I've been reading in bulk lately. Just having endlessly cute fluffy lovey doveys is refreshing at times.

The first book in this series was cute, fun, interesting. This next book in the series not as fun.

First book had multiple point of views, but seemed to be handled better in first book. More seamless. First book had a youngster who has the mind and soul of a 27 year old who liked finding and hugging fluffy critters. Second book still had that, but also had a five year old directing a war, getting people killed, and having people give her their undying livetime loyalty.

Eh, whenever the sequel appears I'll probably read it.

Wow. I just read this volume like nothing. Great writing. I didn't feel like any information on this volume was pointless. I really enjoyed Will's declaration about being a good leader. Kana's persevering about helping her little sister is something wonderful. I like her intuition about Neema's future in the kingdom.
