A strict Daddy. A sassy neighbour. Can opposites attract?
After taking early retirement, Liam is happy avoiding people and tending to his roses. Or he was, until young film star Felix moves in next door.
With his cheeky, persistent, and very naughty behaviour, Felix gets under Liam’s skin instantly.
Felix needs Liam to teach him how to behave, but will calling the older man Daddy be enough to bring sunshine into Liam’s life?
A Boy Made of Sunshine is a standalone gay romance, with mild D/s play, Daddy kink, a cute Dalmatian puppy, a ridiculous glow in the dark toy, and lots of brattish behaviour.
I'm an indie author from the UK, who writes contemporary and paranormal M/M romance. My books have flawed characters, happy endings, and lots of heart.
A Boy Made of Sunshine, by Colette Davison, is a stand alone, M/M, age gap, daddy kink romance with little to no angst. This is my very first book by this author.
Felix Lee is twenty five years old. He’s been acting since he was a young boy and he’s just tired. He wants some time off. So he purchases his first home, a small house in a quiet village outside of London. For companionship he buys himself an adorable Dalmatian puppy. Felix is out and proud. He has no reservations about who he is. He is also persistently cheerful. So when he meets his new grumpy neighbor, he sees it as a challenge.
Liam Gladstone was a detective in London but the darkness of his job, always seeing the worst of the world, got to him, so he took an early retirement and bought a nice quiet home. He spends his days tending his roses and living a peaceful life alone. Liam’s exact age isn’t given but it’s hinted that he is somewhere in his mid forties. So there is an approximate twenty year age difference between he and Felix.
“Liam was one gorgeously grumpy guy. He’d need to come up with an excuse to pop round and talk to his neighbour again very soon.”
When Felix came to Liam’s door to introduce himself with his cheerful smile and outgoing ways, Liam was afraid his days of peace and quiet were over. It was obvious that Felix needed to be taught some lessons, patience, how to behave, and Liam was just the person to teach him.
“He was nothing but sweetness and light, wrapped up in a sassy and often exhausting bundle.”
Felix can’t seem to stop himself. He loves antagonizing Liam. Once he figures out that Liam is a Dom, he enjoys it even more. Because he also enjoys the punishments Liam doles out.
This was really just a very steamy, fun book. The story mostly just focuses on these two. There really aren’t any secondary characters that are of much importance. Felix is silly and spontaneous and Liam is a grumpy bear (Felix’s favorite name for him.) If you enjoy daddy kink, then you will definitely enjoy this.
There’s something to be said about Truth in Advertising. Right or wrong it makes me feel like not everything is belly up. A promise made and kept goes a long way to warming my cold cold heart. Colette Davison keeps her word and Dan Calley delivers another warm hug to the soul.
Felix is 25 and on the cusp of making it into A list celebrity status but after being a child model and later an actor his whole life he needs and takes a break. Said break lands him, first time homeowner, new puppy in tow, in a seaside community in the north of England. Luckily his house shares a lot with Liam’s, a retired detective, giant barrel of a man with a beard close to his chest and a forbidding countenance. He also happens to grow roses and harbor a deep need for care giving which he tries to hide with growly monosyllabic answers. He doesn’t stand a chance in the face of Felix’s good cheer, easy disposition, and willingness to be cared for.
Can you tell I loved this? I listened to it twice because I thought maybe I was just feeling sappy given our current climate. But no. This is that rare story that manages to check ALL the romance boxes without dipping into made-up drama, faux angst, UST, or being ridiculously OTT. The care-taker Daddy and his willing boy aspect is the perfect dash of savory to cut the sweet.
Liam took early retirement because the world he saw as a London DC left him with a grim view of humanity but the Fates are kind to him and gift him with Felix (was ever a character more aptly named?). Felix is, as Liam realizes, made of sunshine: not syrupy sweet (though he is sweet), treacly, or naive but warm, comforting, life affirming, and a light in the darkness. Exactly what Liam needs. And Liam is what Felix wants.
I loved that Felix wanted Liam’s care and not that he needed it. There’s a difference. Felix is young and has had many of his day to day needs taken care of by others because that’s the nature of the industry he works in but he’s not incapable of doing for himself. He chooses to let Liam guide him and care for him. Perfect.
As for the rest? Some spanking, some voyeurism, some made to order toys and we have a delightful Daddy/boy story with the perfect balance of kink and RL romance.
Dan Calley is pitch perfect in the chosen voices for both MC. His American accent on a female character? Iffy at best but she’s only on page briefly so no biggie. The story centers almost solely on the development of the relationship between Felix & Liam and happily so. It’s like a two person play with some kinky goodness as a plus.
***Recommended to anyone in need of a little sunshine. All of us.***
I received a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
First things first, the cover of this book is gorgeous.
With that said, this was such a slow read for me and I had trouble keeping my focus on reading it. It had all ingredients to make this a 5 star read for me but sadly, the feelings just wasn't there. I didn't really care for Felix and Liam and didn't feel their chemistry as a couple. Because of that, the whole daddy-boy thingy got a little bit... silly.
I did love Domino though. But who doesn't love a clumsy puppy?
Anyway, Colette Davion's writing is on point as usual.
Ohhh this was just sweet, sexy, kinky, and bratty fun! Felix and Liam were just wonderful to read about. A bratty boy finds his match in an older, ex-cop Daddy. Yum!
Definitely recommended if you like age gap, discipline and play between a cinnamon roll and a grumpy bear daddy.
This book was mostly fine except for the fact that I kept forgetting I was reading it. In the 31 days since I started it, I finished 33 other books before finally finding the will to finish this one. Let that speak for itself.
A Boy Made of Sunshine was a sweet story with some lighter BDSM themes and a whole lot of Daddy kink. It isn’t going to be for everybody, but I think if you’ve wanted to try a Daddy/boy book, this could be a good one to consider. The BDSM isn’t super hardcore and the Daddy/boy themes are confined primarily to the bedroom.
Felix and Liam are well suited to one another, though they could have used a bit more fleshing out. They’re far from caricatures, but especially with regards to Liam’s background, I think additional information could have only elevated his character. He’s a retired cop and there’s clearly a story there, but more time could have been spent building out this part of his character out. Felix and Liam work as a couple and, despite their age difference, they have a comfortable rapport that added to the overall depth of their relationship.
Okay, all those who love a bratty, naughty boy, raise your hands. Yep, this one’s definitely for all of you! Felix definitely is a naughty boy, and he’s also a bit ostentatious when it comes to his belongings (though I must admit his coffee table sounds intriguing). He does need someone to get a handle on him, and though Liam’s grumpy self might not want anything to do with him, Felix’s personality—and persistence—wind up sucking him in.
This is very much an opposites attract story, and those of you who love the “grumpy one falls for the sunshine one” trope will find yourselves right at home with Liam and Felix. Felix is a pro at pushing Liam’s buttons; to be honest I thought Liam too easily gave in to Felix wanting to be punished (after all, it’s not really a punishment if you like it and get off on it, right?)
The majority of the book is concentrated on the time they spend together, with a very small portion near the end bringing in some supporting characters. Even though for most of the time it’s just the two of them, the absence of other people does not take anything away from the story. Everything is pretty lighthearted with plenty of teasing from Felix, so the angst level is extremely low.
All in all this made for a fun read with a touch of kink, and I’m giving A Boy Made of Sunshine 4 stars. This book is meant for readers 18+ for adult language and sexual content.
Colette Davison's A Boy Made of Sunshine is a fantastic BDSM book.
This is a neighbors romance between the young actor Felix and the grumpy, older bear Liam. Felix is an actor taking a much needed break from work. He and his hot neighbor come together naturally. They are super hot as Liam teaches Felix patience.
Holy hotness! BDSM, exhibitionism, voyeurism, spanking, spreader bars, Daddy play. It is steamy and awesome!
And then there's the roses, which have a tender part in this story. And one can't help but to love the dog.
Told in alternating third person, the reader is brought into the characters' emotions and feelings throughout. I love the author's writing style. The characters are charming, their storyline is entertaining, and there's plenty of fun humor sprinkled throughout. As well, I appreciate the setting of the British countryside.
I absolutely love A Boy Made of Sunshine and I enjoy every second of their journey. Felix's decisions are wonderfully handled and of course, I love the result. This Colette Davison read is definitely worth a read next time you're looking for a sexy romance.
Felix is a movie star who’s taking a break. He bought a house and a dog. He got one neighbor, a beautiful, big grumpy of a man, Liam, who despises everything Felix does. Felix much younger and quite playful and optimistic can’t stop poking him. Liam doesn’t want to talk or have any interaction. Until he understands what Felix is really asking for, to be disciplined. Thát can Liam do. Not quite the way Felix hoped for, but he will do everything strict Liam asks for.
Their Daddy boy connection is full of longing and lust and disciplinary action. While they have the most amazing experience together, Felix's next script is just around the corner. Liam doesn’t want to hold him back but his heartache.
The first word that pops up here is sweet, then fun, then sexy, then kind, caring, and loving. Wonderfully and captivatingly written narrative. With the most provocative boy and grumpy but patient Daddy. The story has a delightful positive vibe. Of course they have their hea.
I read this forever ago. I even typed a review and left it in draft on On Top Down Under. For some reason, I never published it.
This is a nice story. Liam and Felix are as different as night and day but they work. I didn't rate it higher for a couple of reasons. One, I don't think Felix's manager was handled well. Or if she was, the reader is not made aware of how. And, two, the entire book goes on about the age difference between Felix and Liam yet Liam's actual age is never mentioned. Felix's is, but not Liam's. That annoyed me.
True rating 2.5 stars! Frankly I have nothing bad to say about this book, the book was very sweet and sunny, Liam was a wonderful grumpy bear and Felix was a blast of sunshine, he really was! However I felt to some degree that there was a lot more tell than show and while I was fully engaged until halfway through the book, the second half just lost me ... I got bored and this book just didn’t hold my attention! It just felt like it was going on and on and not much was really happening ... there weren’t many developments - plot or relationship-wise and my attention completely wandered after reaching the halfway point! This book was just missing something and it’s a shame that it didn’t hold my attention all the way through! The book was written nicely overall (despite minor niggles) and I’m sure somebody else will really enjoy this book! Its pacing just wasn’t for me! But I can say that the experience was a generally positive one and that all in all it was just an okay read for me!! The rating is not a negative rating at all but I cannot give it three stars saying that I truly liked it considering the fact that I started skimming for half the book and it just lost my attention! So while it was okay for me, it might be stellar for somebody else, so I DO recommend reading it!!
When I need good romance with hotness I'm 100% sure Colette Davison is the answer.
This book was so good, I have no words. I started reading it and the next thing I know I finished it. So easy to read and fall in love with the story and the characters.
Liam and Felix were adorable and so the opposite of each other. Felix full with smiles and sunshine while Liam the grumpy bear. It was so good. My heart smiled while reading this book.
I loved Felix to the moon, he was so adorable and strict. He wanted Liam so he went for it. And Liam, oh God! Total Daddy. With Big D!
I love daddy kink, that's not a new thing, and this book was amazing in this. Colette's earlier book in daddy kink was amazing too, so I wasn't afraid of this, I just knew it would be awesome too.
Liam with his 'be patient' lesson was super hot. Felix was so so needy and naughty, oh my god, I can't think another book with this needy and bratty sub, Felix was something else, but oh so lovely. I don't know how could Lilam said no to him time after time. And those spankings, holy hell! SO HOT! Everything was hot in this book. And don't get me start on the voyeurism, mmmmm yeeeeah! I love a good voyeur! ♥
And Domino, aww that dog was super cute. And I loved that he wasn't just some baggage, he was there everytime. Dogs sometimes got lost in the story, but not in this one.
Best scene: blue clone dick! I can't with that scene! It was hilarious! LOL! Loved it. Perfectly written scene. (and the epilogue with the blue/glow in the dark ring awwwwwww)
This is a fun, sweet, hilarious, sexy and entertaining story with great characters. Felix is amazing and he is definitely in need of a Daddy to take him in hand. Liam is a grumpy and sweet man who hasn't had a boy for a long time but when his new neighbor pushes all of his buttons and is not deterred by his bad attitude he may have to deal with him in the only way he knows how. Teaching Felix patience is Liam's first and most difficult task and it leads to some funny situations as Felix enjoys being a brat. They are exactly what the other needs and I like how their relationship evolves and though it is very quick they do have a strong connection. They have a few issues to deal with but I love that neither of them is bothered by the large age difference between them. Felix's devotion to his new puppy is super sweet and it is one of my favorite parts of this delightful story. The ending is great and I look forward to reading more books by this author.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
This was a nice story but got lost on the timeline, it takes place within a short period of time but they talk like it’s been a while and having a routine and then talk about how it’s only been a couple days; I had to stop trying to figure it out. Poor Felix, he really doesn’t know how to stand up for himself and it looks like he has let people make decisions for him because it’s easier. Liam helps him see that he can live his life how he wants and Felix has a big decision to make and it needs to be his own. I enjoyed the story and though Liam was the perfect complement to Felix’s brand of craziness.
I received a copy of this book and am giving an honest review.
This was cute. I adore this cover tbh. Also there's a Dalmation pupdog which just added to the cuteness factor. This is an age gap romance between two neighbors. Liam is just happy living his life in early retirement when Felix, an actor just needed a break moves in next door. This book was fine, it's a cutesy contemporary. Very low drama. My only real complaint it that it lacked substance and character detail.
A Boy Made of Sunshine was my first book by Colette Davison and I loved it so much! It's very well written and I loved Felix and Liam. Also Domino was so sweet. This book is so sweet, hot and sexy. Felix and his Daddy are amazing.
Liam's life has been blissfully calm, perfectly boring, just the way he has wanted it. Unfortunately, the idyll ends when a ray of sunshine moves in next door. Felix is always smiling, talking a lot, he's annoying, sassy and incredibly sweet. Liam has no other choice but to forget about peace and quiet he value so much, because it is impossible not to love the sun. And Felix is the sun.
The very first pages of "A Boy Made of Sunshine", Colette Davison's new novel, charmed me with amazing dynamics of the relationship between the main characters, therefore between Felix – a young sassy and full of life man – and Liam – a grumpy guy in his late forties. I admit, such combination of characters doesn't seem to be something new. So what distinguishes Felix and Liam from other characters? First of all, the intensity of being oneself. In their case, being sassy and grumpy are their most characteristic features, something completely natural to them, these features are almost synonymous with them. These two are complete opposites, but in their dynamics the most important thing is how they interact with each other. Felix who is always smiling and full of energy is attracted to the grumpy, serious Liam like a bee to honey and can't stop teasing the man who gets annoyed with almost all the time. And yet our constantly grumpy Liam quickly becomes addicted to the sassy comments and Felix himself.
I've mentioned that Liam and Felix are the opposites and I would like to write a few words about the differences between them. These two are like heaven and earth, water and fire, apples and oranges. They differ in so many ways that it is definitely their most characteristic feature and although I have read many novels in which the main characters were very different from each other, their creation just can't match the one we see in "A Boy Made of Sunshine". Liam and Felix are wonderful, simply amazing. No wonder we fall in love with them right away, and they themselves can't resist being attracted to each other. After all, it is said that opposites attract and this is undoubtedly true, but in this novel what draws the characters so strongly to each other is the fact that they both find exactly what they are looking for in each other, even if they are not immediately aware of it. And this is what I like the most in the characters building in "A Boy Made of Sunshine" – they need each other to be happy.
For a very long time, I have been interested in novels with age-gap trope, so I have read quite a lot of them. However, I must admit that "A Boy Made of Sunshine" is the firs one that made me realize one extremely important problem, something I have never really thought about before, although it is something obvious. Namely, broad intolerance of couples with a large age-gap. This problem is so widespread that, in fact, we do not pay much attention to it, and yet the vast majority of people always, but always, have some unfavorable comments to share concerning large age-gap relationships, regardless of how old the partners are. Society has created some stereotypical patterns that we have to adapt to – gender, age, nationality, skin color, appearance. It does not take into account our feelings or happiness, because the only thing behind it is the fact that someone wants to decide our lives. We usually think of intolerance as a problem which affects some minorities, but in fact it is as common as stereotypical patterns in every area of our life. However, the real problem begins when someone suffers because of it.
In "A Boy Made of Sunshine" I also liked the fact that it is a novel with very little drama. After all, not every problem in life must be comparable with the end of the world. Some of them are based on the need to make a difficult choice and in this novel we see exactly this type of problem. Thanks to this fact, "A Boy Made of Sunshine" is very positive, funny and even when it starts to get serious, it doesn't make the reader depressed. Believe me, this is a book you want to read many times, enjoy its unique vibe, positive energy and the warmth of it. I love this novel for bringing a smile to my face and exciting me.
To sum up, "A Boy Made of Sunshine" is a book that I recommend to you with all my heart, because it makes life more beautiful. Reading it is like sliding off a rainbow. It is a unique experience that one wants to repeat. You well fall in love with this novel and its characters from the very first page.

A Boy Made of Sunshine”. I właśnie to w kreacji głównych bohaterów „A Boy Made of Sunshine” podoba mi się najbardziej – są potrzebni sobie nawzajem do szczęścia.
A strict older man. A sassy film star. Can opposites attract?
After taking early retirement from the police force, Liam is happy avoiding people and tending to his roses. Or he was, until Felix moves in next door.
Felix is taking a break from his acting career, even though he's on the cusp of stardom. With his cheeky, persistent, and very naughty behaviour, he gets under Liam’s skin instantly.
Felix needs someone who can set him boundaries—a man who can handle him firmly, but with love. Liam doesn't think he needs anyone, until Felix brings much needed sunshine into his life.
Will Felix choose stability and love, or a life of glitz and glamour?
Oh my goodness, how much did I love this book? A whole heck of a lot!
Liam watches the movers bring stuff into the house next door and is already annoyed by the fancy sport-car driving man with inappropriate bedroom art. He is also aroused, but mainly annoyed!
I really loved Liam - The buttoned up ex-copper with controlling tendencies. Felix was delightful too - The movie star in need of a firm hand. This book was romance heaven with a daddy kink.
The development of the relationship was perfect, from Liam’s resisting to Felix’s naughty flirting and nearly naked yoga. The dialogue was funny and sassy without being disrespectful, and the very English setting was a delight in itself.
I even loved the hard bits, when Felix went to audition in LA, and Liam was left at home. The implications for the relationship were bitter sweet and charming.
I adored the ending, and would love to see these two pop up again when Felix’s pal gets his HEA… pretty, pretty please, Colette!
I was given a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
Fun, entertaining and with a couple that keeps you attentive to reading. I really liked the dynamics between the two, although the beginning seemed a bit strange, a little forced, because there was no point in someone being interested in Liam as Felix was. Anyway, it's a story that made me have a good time, made me smile and laugh more than once.
Just so good! Full of Sunshine, sass, steam and humour, this story is fighting for the top spot this year!
I loved the dynamic between the gruff and serious Liam and the sunny and sassy Felix! add in a adorable puppy and some exceptional Daddy/Boi times and this story lifted my spirits, made me laugh and made me fall in love with these beautiful characters.
Dan does an excellent job narrating. I loved the contrast of gruff and sunny between these two and their unique dialect.
Liam and Felix's sweet, low angst romance was such a joy to read. I've always been a fan of Daddy/boy books, and this one is particularly lovely. Felix is, as the title implies, such a cute ray of sunshine that I fell in love with his character immediately. Even Liam, the solitary, grumpy bear next door couldn't resist his charm for long.
It's been a while since I've read a book purely about the developing romance between two characters. Without any background family issues or stirred up drama, I could fall heart-first into Liam and Felix's love story and just enjoy seeing how things progressed between them. As I read about all of Felix's bratty attempts to coax reactions out of Liam, I couldn't stop my smile. Liam is such a caretaker, even when he was trying to resist Felix as hard as he could. Once they brought the Daddy aspect into their relationship, I was a goner.
My only complaint about this book is how mysterious Liam remained throughout the entire story. I connected so immediately with Felix, but at the end of their story I still knew hardly anything about Liam. For a book told from both Felix and Liam's perspectives, I wasn't expecting to be so in the dark about Liam's past. There were hints at his backstory: why he retired early, what happened with his last boy, but I was left unsatisfied and without answers.
Liam's backstory aside, this book was a smile-inducing, heartwarming, softly sweet character-focused romance. I highly recommend it if you want something light and lovely to brighten up your day.
**I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
Daddy/boy stories haven't been among my favorites but I seem to have been reviewing a lot of them lately and they are growing on me. A Boy Made of Sunshine is one that I really enjoyed. It's an age-gap story as well as a daddy kink one. I thought the writing was excellent and I loved that the author didn't keep harping on the age difference between the two MCs.
There is so much humor and cuteness in this book that it kept me smiling the whole time I read it. Among the lightness there are a few pretty heavy spanking scenes. There's no issue with consent, it's given freely, but the spankings got just a bit intense for me in a couple of places. It wasn't enough to make me want to stop reading, but it's something to be aware of if this is a trigger for you.
I loved the way that Felix kept goading Liam, know full well that his behavior was bratty and would likely end up with him being punished – but that was usually what he was after. Liam is determined to teach Felix patience but it ends up becoming an exercise in patience for him as well because he wants Felix so much and the waiting is killing him.
I can't forget to mention the cute Dalmatian puppy that Felix has. Liam acts like he doesn't like the puppy but we soon learn that just the opposite is true; he falls for the dog just as much as he falls for Felix.
A copy of this book was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.
Felix is a 25-year-old movie star who has been working pretty much since he was a little kid, so he decides to take a break and buys a house in the English countryside. Liam is his new neighbor, one that isn't too happy to have such a loud, young, annoying man so close to him. At least not until Felix's persistence starts wearing Liam's defenses down and he can see that perhaps Felix is the boy he's been wishing for.
Felix was like the title of the book says, a ray of sunshine, sweet, quirky, fun and very persistent and he definitely was my favorite of the two. I loved the secondary storyline regarding his acting career, too. Liam is his complete opposite, older and gruff, a true grumpy bear and maybe because of this, I found it more difficult to relate or connect to him. Also, the whole D/s aspect of the story felt a bit forced maybe, but that might be just me. Despite this, I can't deny they had chemistry and that the sex scenes were hot, even if voyeurism is not my kink.
This was an enjoyable, steamy book and I was happy with the resolution of the story, so I have no trouble recommending it to people who enjoy D/s and Daddy kink books.

First, I want to thank Colette Davison and Gay Book Promotions for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.
Opposites really do attract in Colette Davison’s latest book The Boy Made of Sunshine. Two totally different characters, backgrounds and ages apart-yet they both lent to a very unique storyline.
The cover of this book was so totally cute! The background and the shy awkward boy with the great smile on the front cover did the book justice. I commend the graphic designer on their great job.
Colette’s book is a little on the taboo side as the main characters are a wide age range apart. So much so the one character is referred to as Daddy. There is also some slight domination/submission that goes on too.
Two strong points Colette put into this book were the characters' strong personalities and how they affected the other person. The other was the very sexual yet tasteful intimate scenes between the two men.
Felix has been an actor since he was a kid, he’s now twenty five and he decides to take a break from acting so he buys a house at the countryside. Liam used to be a Detective but he took an early retirement and is now enjoying a quiet life. When Felix moves to the house next door everything changes. Liam is a grumpy man who has seen the worst of humanity and Felix is a sassy, happy man. They seem completely opposite but they fit together perfectly. Felix brings sunshine and joy in Liam’s life and Liam is just so caring towards Felix. They balance each other beautifully. This book made me smile it was so cheerful and funny. The main characters had wonderful chemistry and I loved reading their story. Age gap is one of my favorite tropes in romance and it was so well done in this book. And the puppy, Domino, was just adorable.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
A fun story that has opposites attracted to each other and changing each other’s perspective on life.
Extremely well written and highly developed characters spin an interesting light hearted tale. It will have you laughing and smiling at some of the antics the boy concocts to get the attention and punishment from his grumpy bear neighbor.
A boy on the cusp of stardom who needs a handler, even during his break from acting; moves next door to a daddy dom so lonely and entrenched in his solitary retirement. What could possibly happen? Throw in a cute puppy and the domestic scene is set. Of course teaching patience to someone who is used to getting everything he wants immediately is intense and frustrating for both men.
You will never look glow in the dark blue the same way ever again!
A sweet story about an older grumpy bear and a younger bratty ray of sunshine. I adored this opposites attract daddy kink story. Liam is glad to spend his retirement away from everyone just tending to his roses. His quiet little life comes to screeching halt when his bratty, much younger, and incredibly attractive neighbor moves in next door. Liam hasn't had a boy for a long time and Felix makes it impossible for him to keep things at status quo. Felix has had his whole life planned out but needed a break to figure a new direction. He was not expecting that break to come with a Daddy that would take care of him and love him.
Colette brings us another story filled with so much love and gentleness. Even though Liam is a grumpy bear, he is kind and gentle and loves Felix immediately. The chemistry between Felix and Liam is incredible. I enjoyed reading about them and seeing both Felix and Liam get their HEA.
For the most part, A Boy Made of Sunshine was charmingly light and funny. The beginning, in particular, was hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing at Liam's irritation every time Felix got into his space or was purposely mischievous, irreverent and bratty. Liam was like a hedgehog, protecting his privacy and isolation, until Felix proved to be what the retired detective really needed in his life: the perfect boy to take care of, or to punish if need arised. And Felix, he'd never expected that moving to his new house would eventually mean finding someone to belong to and a home.
As always with this amazing author, this story is incredible. Felix and Liam's romance combines explosive chemistry, raw need, sensuality and a heart-warming emotional depth. I loved everything about it: all the feelings, the laughs, the sexiness. Absolutely recommended.
