That’s when a handsome knight on an iron-horse swoops in to rescue her. But can Slash and his club - the 66ers - save Lucie from spending eternal bliss with the Russian Mob?
This book was so good I couldn't put it down. I like the suspense that this book had. I did not like the Russians or Lucie's dad. What is it with dads thinking they can tell their daughter's who they are going to marry. Those times are over for good. I am glad that Kelvin and his club are the good guys. Though I think Nick needs to grow a pair. Also just to let you know about some errors in this story. Quite a few times you put the wrong name down, also you have to many words that aren't needed. I am running across this more and more. I am not sure if it because of the people converting these over to e books or what. Just letting you know so you can check into it. Thank you.
My review is based on an ARC; so some of my issues may not be in the final version. When I have a number of issues with a book, I usually try to contact the author before leaving a review. However, I could not find any direct contact info (I got the ARC through a third party); hence me sharing my poor review. The writing needed finesse and the characters weren't sympathetic. Early in the book, Lucie's dad tells her he's marrying her off to a biker in another club; no one brings this up when he later announces his plans to marry her off to a mobster. It's like it never happened! This isn't the only conflict that is introduced, only to fade away with little development. I'm assuming the unresolved conflict is intended to be a thread linking books in a series; I am not compelled to read more to find out.
