Vigilante justice is often the best kind of justice.
Professionally guided hunts are typically the best kind of hunts.
Your guides will be members of the Tavenner Group.
Your quarry might be a serial rapist... or a murderous gangster... or a child molester... you name the type of hunt you'd like to go on... and the Tavenner Group will take it from there... for a substantial price, of course.
Ben Tavenner is an eye doctor... a psychoanalyst... and a killer of those deserving to die. He works to "make the world a better place," as he puts it.
Natalie Darden seems willing to give up her last tress of innocence to have Ben. As his secretary for eight years, the one-eyed yet still quite pretty Miss Darden has no idea how her boss earns most of the money he spends. But soon she will find out.
I wasn't sure what to expect from Killer Trace: The Immersion, but this was a very in depth read. It's clear Mr. Newberry is a gun enthusiast, giving us detailed descriptions of the ammo and weapons used. I also appreciated that he used real streets and restaurants I know very well (Hi to all the fellow Virginians)
I adored the relationship between sisters Natalie and Emily, and Ben's charm is easy to fall for as well. I've never read anything based on glass eyes, so the plot hooked me in rather quickly.
There are several characters to follow, but Newberry weaves in their individual stories so that it's easy to see where they meet.
All in all, a very interestingly detailed story I enjoyed listening to on audible.
I found the book to be a very interesting read. Sometimes a bit too wordy on the guns and ammunition but easy to get past. Will look for more from this author.
