Very good book learning how to eat the right way, being a new diabetic, or as a refresher. It's a good primer to understand diabetes, eating right, and the tricks of the trade. You can still eat out, snack, and still cheat. But you must be careful and know how. Even after you are diagnosed with Diabetes, and read the book. You should ask your doctor for a referral to a nutritionist. The more education, the better.
2.5 stars, maybe. Actually, the book is not bad. It provides a good high-level overview of dietary considerations for people suffering from diabetes. The content is fairly simple and reasonably organized. As an introductory book it does a decent job. What keep me from ranking it any higher than 2 stars was the dearth of details and depth.
