A novel about the men of the their selection and training; the wars they fight; the women they love; the dreams they share along the ways; and the dreams they lose.
Not impressed: Seen lots of his 'Soldier x SAS' series, but this was the first I'd picked up.
The 'blurb' praises realistic detail, hints at 'previously unknown' information; there is a lot, some read in other non/fiction, some from my father who served in Western Desert. BUT - there are some glaring inaccuracies that lead me to think that the author is very lazy! My impression is that 'factual' and other information is picked up and re-hashed with some personal fiction, mainly violence and sex.
There is a LOT of much better stuff out there to read!
