Mapleville Omegas #1

Christmas with His Omega

Rate this book
A Mapleville Christmas Novella: MM Non Shifter Alpha/Omega Mpreg

All he wants for Christmas is a safe place to have his baby. Santa has other ideas.

When Pierce finds out the couple he is carrying a baby for is backing out of the arrangement, he has very mixed feelings. Ecstatic to be no longer legally obligated to give up the baby he has long since thought of as his, he’s also terrified he’ll be unable to provide for his new little treasure. Almost eight months pregnant, he sets off to find refuge at his grandmother's house, back in the town he called his own many years earlier, the town where he found and lost his one and only love, Rhone.

Rhone has a good life—an amazing career doing what he loves and a beautiful home. But even after the passage of many years, he still longs for the one thing he no longer has. Pierce, the omega who got away. After his family “moved” in the middle of the night to avoid his father’s gambling debts, Pierce never returned, leaving a vacant place in Rhone’s heart until one day when Pierce shows up at the diner where their love began.

All the feelings as well as the lust returned the moment they saw each other, only this time they weren’t two young men with no responsibilities. This time they had a third to think about, the sweet baby growing inside Pierce.

Christmas with His Omega is a holiday novella with sweetness, heat, and more than one Christmas Miracle.

Sweet super sweet little Christmas story.

After being away for years Pierce returns to his home town. High pregnant without an Alpha.

After being alone for years Rhone can't believe his eyes...there is the love of his life... who
disappeared without a word. He always thought Pierce was his omega and after he was gone
there was just no one else who fit as his omega.

Their love has never faded, so being together is not a point...
Pierce and Rhone together.... for how long... it's Christmas Eve and there are still a few weeks to go...

Such a sweet positive read. Totally engaged in Christmas spirit.
Written in a lovely, endearing and joyful style.

Cute, but a bit short.

The romantic development mostly counted on them having been high school lovers. Once they met up again it was mostly sex and pregnancy things. Oh, and Christmas things. It was sweet.

OK... gotta say me rating this 5 stars is something I didn't forsee happening when I decided to read this book. Having never really read a Mpreg story of any kind before, I honestly did not know if I could get into this genre. Well the answer is... yesI I sure did! This story was heartwarming, charming and full of love. I must say the idea of Alpha/Omega mates is one that definitely appeals to me and the characters the author created are wonderful. Since I am a hopeless romantic myself, the idea of there being someone out there for me certainly has its perks. As for whether reading about sex where one guy is pregnant would be an issue for me I found out it in no way messed with my head or was gross. In the end this story was about love in all its forms and thus was a huge joy to read!

This was book 1 in the "Mapleville Omegas series. Pierce who became a surrogate for a couple who changed their mind is coming home to his grandmother who he can figure out his next move. Pierce who went to high school in Mapleville left his first love behind when his father got in trouble and they had to leave town suddenly. Rhone has a good life doing a job he loves in a town that he loves. Rhone is lonely he hasn't gotten over his first love. When runs into Pierce in the diner he sees it has his chance to have his omega. These two begin spending time together after Pierce tells him about the baby. This was a pretty good read. I have read this author before. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Pierce lost his parents in a fire and having only a small life insurance policy and far too much debt he decided to be a surrogate father. Everything was going well until the couple who hired him started divorce proceedings and Pierce is now eight months pregnant, alone, and about to become a father. Not that he minds, of course, but with his financial situation the way it is, he needs to stay with his grandma in the only town that ever truly felt like home. The fact that his first love, Rhone, still lives there has nothing to do with it.

Rhone has never gotten over losing Pierce. The day after the most incredible night of his life, when Rhone realized Pierce was his omega, Rhone woke to discover Pierce and his family gone, never to return. Rhone may have his own construction company and be pretty well off in his town, but he’s all alone, and nothing makes the holidays any better when that’s the case. He could spend it with friends, as he has before, but inevitably someone will mention Pierce’s name, and all Rhone’s longings return.

After running into each other it doesn’t take Rhone long to make his intentions known even though serious intimacy is out of the question with Pierce about to pop. That’s okay, though, it gives Rhone time to show Pierce that it’s not all about sex and that he wants Pierce and his baby forever. They were so stinking adorable, I smiled more than once over their cuteness.

Cute story. I'm a sucker for re-united boyfriends/lovers and this fit that trope perfectly. Had a couple of LOL moments, and once I got over the weirdness of a surrogate being left responsible for the unborn child*, the romance grew on me a little more. Insta-family gets me every time.

(*Is that even a thing? Can a couple just wash their hands of their child - their actual DNA - while it's still being gestated in the surrogate, leaving that surrogate the responsibility of keeping it or putting it up for adoption? See, I kept thinking about the legality - and ethics - of such a thing through the whole story and it threw me off...)

This was just too sweet for words! One thing that mpreg fans will love is the amount of pregnancy and preparation detail in the book--something I always enjoy. The situation that Pierce is in is not one I've ever heard of or considered before and that made it really interesting. He's missed a lot of the pregnancy in a way because he was never allowed to even view any of the ultrasounds and doesn't so much as know the sex or ethnicity of his expected baby. But despite this he loves his child fiercely. So too does Rhone, never questioning whether he wants Pierce and the baby in his life. They make a truly adorable family, which includes a great support system of friends and a loving Grams. It was a Christmas story in the best sense, focusing on love and family rather than the traditional trappings of Christmas. The epilogue provided the perfect ending to the story. This is a family that I hope to see more of in the next in the series. I'm excited that this is going to be a series because I really loved the writing and the small town feeling.

Second Chance to Get it Right

I fell in love with the writing - story telling of these authors. Their styles were seamless, I couldn't distinguish between where one began and the other ended. The central topic of mpreg romances set around the small quaint town of Mapleville is a series of books; the connective focus of this with the added fun of celebrating a holiday or other special occasions.

Each book focuses on a different couple. The theme of the First Book is a Second Chance for a former resident Mapleville returning between the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas. He is an Omega coming stay with his grandmother and boy does he have a surprise for her. But he is determined not to be a burden despite the fact that he is heavily pregnant and jobless.

This is the first time I've read a story about an Omega acting as a Surrogate for a couple unable to have a baby. As is standard in many Omegaverse takes - Omegas don't have the equal rights to Alphas. Yet this world at least in the initial story is not as harsh toward Omegas as others I've read. Other stories / series where Alpha children are taken away from their Omega parent right at birth, and Omega babies allowed to die.

A reunion between former though brief lovers is the highlight of the tale. Would they still have any feelings toward each other? How close had they been in the past? Would the pregnancy be a huge deterrent to how the Alpha now looks at him? Why in their right mind would want someone carrying the baby of others? And the Omega felt he had little to offer his grandmother let alone an Alpha? But he didn't count on the depth of their feelings they carried for each other.

I really enjoyed this book. I'm partial to Single Dad stories, especially when they are Omegas, but I really admire the Alphas that take on the responsibilities of not just an Omega, but a child that is not their own. The Omegaverse is not set up for this being a normal situation. And when stepfathers are referred to, they are often depicted as vicious monsters. One of the most touching moments is the Alpha speaking to the baby while the Omega still is pregnant. I look forward to the next story.

This is the first book in The Mapleville Christmas Series. A delightful book the writing was amazing. I loved this story it was fantastic. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters captivating. The characters were well developed and thought out. Pierce and Rhone are the MC’s of this book. These characters were brought to life through the writing. There was humor, popcorn balls, a contractor, a grandma, family doctor, single parent group, spaghetti and gravy, a baby and so much more in this book.

Here is a quote from the book, “Me, too, Pierce, me, too. I’ve missed having family here, and now I get family I didn’t even know about. Speaking of family. You may not know this about me, but I hoard things.” She laughed at her own joke, looking around the kitchen at all the knickknacks anyone had ever given her. “No way. How did I miss that?” I bantered back, getting out of my seat to stretch and—pee because that was a huge part of my day now that baby had settled on my bladder for good. “Very funny.” She smacked me in the arm playfully.”. There is more but you will need to read the book which I can highly recommend. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

If you're looking for a low angst, heart-warming holiday mpeg story, this one is for you! I just adored Pierce and Rhone. I was totally invested after only a few pages in. This author did so well economically flushing out the MCs in addition to the secondary characters, I loved every one of them. I also really thought the way that Pierce comes into parenthood really worked, I'd never encountered that kind of set up and it lent a breath of fresh air to this classic story line. I also loved the sweet flashbacks of the special night that Pierce and Rhone spent together - really made me melt. Highly recommend adding this to your list of holiday romances and if you're too busy to read it before the holidays well worth using your Amazon gift card on. This is one that I will probably pick up again and again.

This is a sweet and fun second chance Christmas story. I really enjoyed it and thought it was an interesting premise. Pierce is an omega that had nowhere to go after the couple he agreed to be a surrogate for changed their minds and didn't want the baby he was carrying after all. He moves in with his grandmother who is happy to have him back home. As soon as he meets Rhone again they start a relationship immediately. Rhone is so happy to have a second chance with Pierce and he wants to be a father to his baby. I loved that there was a lot of information about the pregnancy and the ending was great. I look forward to reading more books by Lorelei M. Hart.

Through no fault of his own, Pierce had to leave the Alpha he wanted as his own. When the couple he’s acting as a surrogate for back out, he heads back to the town he left so long ago. He’s going to keep this baby, he already thinks of the baby as his own. So, he’ll raise it by himself. He’s sure that Rhone has moved on.

Rhone is tired of being the lone single among his circle. But he’s already giving his heart to an omega, Pierce. He can’t believe that Pierce is back and pregnant as well. When he finds out the circumstances of Pierce’s pregnancy, he’s ready to step in. He’s not about to let his omega go again. And as far as he’s concerned that baby belongs to them both.

Wonderful written, with a great story-line, this story just leaves you feeling good.

This story is just what I have come to expect from these two authors... cute, cuter and cutest! *grin*

I am not sure which was mushier (is that a word?) Rhone or Pierce... but they both put a smile on my face, numerous times... so, does it really matter? ;D

As always, the typos were out in full force... but this time the beginning felt a little rushed, which I don't recall having occurred in any of the other books I have read by these authors and there were details that I would have liked to have gotten that were perhaps totally unimportant... but I wanted them anyways... grrr LOL!!!

But, none of these things made this story any less enjoyable and I look forward to meeting everyone from Mapleville as this series progresses!

Nice holiday story

There’s the makings for a great book here. Pierce and Rhone are adorable together, soulmates separated by circumstance. When he gets back into town alone and pregnant, they rekindle their love from high school. Gram and Maria are great secondary characters.

My issue comes from editing issues. While the story was nice, an thorough edit would have made this at least a 4-star read for me.

I must have been living under a rock. Yesterday was the first time I've heard about mpreg books. I was interested so I went online and grab Christmas with His Omega. It was a sweet, second chance romance story with all the fuzzy and warm feelings. I liked this novella. However, I felt I didn't really understand the Omegaverse yet. So I guess I'll have to read some more before I can determine if I like this genre of books.

A sweet and heartwarming Christmas story of a second chance at love. Pierce and Rhone have lost touch for years and find each other again during Christmas. But now Pierce is pregnant. Will Rhone still want him and an instant family?
