Framed against the backdrop of the move Contagion, this book goes into a brief history of the nature of pandemics, and specifically how much Hollywood got right or glammed in the name of Entertainment.

This is a light hearted quick read, using entertainment as a reference for pandemics.
However, where I felt this book lacked, is that it does not add anything new to the current conversation on pandemics, and was clearly written before Coronavirus made headline news across the globe. As it is, the world has seen the rise of a deadly pandemic, and this book didn't teach me any more than a Wikipedia article or quick google search.

I enjoyed this book, and would of definitely benefitted reading this before the big C hit the UK in March.
