I had bumped into a crying woman at the bank, and then I couldn't get her out of my head. Her tear-streaked face was beautiful, and I felt I wanted to do something to help her. When I got into trouble myself, I got the brilliant idea that we could help each other out. But the commitment on paper only seemed to push her further away from me.
Adrianne
There were no options left to get a loan from a bank to save my business. They all refused my application. I was in a deep well but saw the light shine again when financial tycoon Blake Backburn approached me for an assignment. I was over the moon with this turnaround. In addition, this man was very attractive. But then he confessed that he didn't want to get the job done, but that he needed a wife. What?
The author has given us characters we can understand. The story moves quickly and smoothly. Adrianne literally runs into Blake as she leaves the bank after being denied a loan. Blake sees her tears and wants to help her, somehow. When he lies to a client about being a family man, he finds a way to help both Adrianne and himself.

A delightfully romantic love story. How Blake's unexpected encounter with Adriana turns out to be the best thing to happen to both of them. Fun tale to read.
