Down on her luck, Tilly Adams is forced to put her college plans on hold while she does some serious saving. Turns out the college fund she's been relying on, barely has enough in it to put gas in her rust bucket of a car. Cue meltdown.
With community college her only option, she gets a job at the new bar in town where dancing on tables is not only allowed, it's encouraged.
It doesn't take long before the owner, Noah Stanton, is noticing the new girl on the floor. Strong, protective, and mature in years, the staff like to call him daddy, but he's far from the daddy-type, preferring to keep his distance and focus on business before pleasure. He's a single dad and an ex-military man who keeps his business and personal life as far away from each other as possible.
But when Tilly finds another way to make her college money by auctioning off something precious to her, Noah can't help but get involved.
Maybe he likes being called daddy, after all...

Boss Daddy is short and steamy romance that is part of the DILF for Father's Day collaboration with some of your favorite instalove authors. As always, this Megan Wade book comes with her ‘Sugar Promise’. High heat, low drama, guaranteed

“I’m having visions of grabbing those round hips of hers and throwing her on the bar while I bury myself deep inside her. I want to take her home with me, wake up with her in my bed. I want to be the sole reason those pink lips of hers smile. I want her to be mine.”

Read #2: Still awesome, still five stars. An amazing age-gap, instalove read that you won't regret picking up.

Another Megan Wade classic. If you love some daddy action this is for you. Firstly, I just want to say that I’ve read this rebranded as “Sugar Honey Iced Tea” under the Sugar Curves series. Not as “Boss Daddy” under the DILF for Father’s Day series. So if you’re confused, the books are one in the same.

There is a pretty large age gap in this one (32 years) so be prepared for that. It’s a larger than normal age gap and I absolutely loved it, but if it skeeves you out, this book probably isn’t for you.

Noah is a man who’s lived a full life as a single father devoted to his two, now grown, sons. He’s at a stage in his life where he is doing what he wants which happens to be opening a bar. Young and innocent Tilley walks in off the street for a job and this girl needs help. She’s never been taken care of a day in her life. Her mother is trash that relies on Tilly and her money to survive and all Tilly wants to do is go to school to become a psychologist.

There is a spark between Noah and Tilly immediately. However, Noah tries to fight his attraction for her. Not only does he feel like there is no way she could be interested in a 53 year old man but he’s concerned about being a “dirty old man” and how his sons will react. Tilly just knows that she feels safe and cared for when he’s around. Eventually they realize that they are made for each other and other people will have to conform to them and their life, not the other way around. It’s a great, sweet, age-gap romance and I can’t wait to continue this series.

3.5 ⭐

Pretty fast pace novella and some steam. And alittle daddy kink (the name).

Tillie is having a semi hard time since her mother is not helpful and uses all her hard earned money. She needs to save more to get into school and when she hears about a bar opening she crosses her fingers and toes that she can get the job. And when she applys she around a fun loving bartender and her new a boss daddy Noah 😏. Who doesn't want her dancing on tables just serving the drinks. As for Noah hes such a sweet soft semi daddy lol wanting to already protect Tillie when she walked in but he never mixed bussiness and pleasure until he overhears a convo that pumps those breaks and unleashes that alpha/daddy vibes 😘.

No ow/om drama, no cheating, tiny drama, sexy time, Virgin gal and no manwhore

Older Man/Younger Woman

Novella length story about a young woman who meets her ‘daddy’ in an older man. Cute, but kinda overdone. Nothing new to this story - I was hoping for something different.

Boss Daddy

Love it! I am not the biggest fan of the "daddy" troupe but I enjoyed this one. It was not the typical story. A very good story with a very Happily Ever After.

Boss Daddy is a completely safe story that has no cheating or abuse of any kind, no ow/om drama and there are no others after meeting. Celibate hero and virgin heroine.

I am voluntarily reviewing an Advanced reader copy of this book.

Tilly has been taking care of her mother for as long as she can remember, she spends money like water that included the money let to Tilly as a college fund by her grandparents so now she is working dead end jobs trying to make ends meet and save towards community college in her future. So when her mum suggests that she gets a job working at the new bar in town knowing she has little choice with the way that the finances are she makes her way there. She is interviewed by bar manager Elijah who she clicks with straight away but the job isn’t just as simple as making drinks she needs to dance too that is until the owner walks in and states that he wants her only behind the bar and definitely not on top of it. Tilly is attracted to Noah straight away but with him being so much older than her there is no way that he would ever be interested in her is there?

Noah decided to open his bar when his boys left to attend college, being a widower he hasn’t been interested in women since his wife died, that is until Elijah his bar manager tells him that they have a new starter, one look at Tilly and he recognises that things have changed, under no circumstances does he want Tilly dancing on the bar, he wants to be the only one looking at her but how will his sons react to her age if he chooses to make her his and could they ever accept her in their lives?

Short and sweet read with just the right amount of forbidden love and the disapproval of Noah’s son made the whole thing feel more real his reaction was utterly believable but ultimately these two deserve a HEA. 4* Great Star Read.

Down on her luck, TIlly needs a better paying job. Noah owns a club, but they're having trouble keeping employees. When she comes in, his assistant hires her as a bartender; she's hoping to dance to make more money. But when Noah takes one look at her, there's no way he wants her to dancing. Short and sweet, this was such a nice story to read. I love how Noah defends his relationship with her when his son doesn't approve, and how she defends it to her mother. They're so cute together, with a very happy ending.

⭐️3.5. This was exactly what I had expect going into it. As with all Megan Wade books, it's insta-love to the extreme, always trope heavy, and a lil bit spicy. It was an absolutely ridiculous story line, and a lovely way to spend a half an hour!

Tilly Adams is a sweet girl who has spent her life and college savings taking care of her alcoholic mother. She doesn’t have enough money in her college fund now, so she needs to find more work. She takes a job at Noah Stanton’s bar serving drinks and hoping to earn more money dancing on the tables. Noah is a very caring person who is good to his employees and they fondly call him “Boss Daddy”. He immediately feels protective of Tilly and won’t let her participate in the dancing. So she comes up with another plan to sell something very “precious” and it’s time for Noah to step in and get involved.

I enjoyed this older man, younger women story because both characters are so likable and honorable. Each of them cares about others to the point that they will sacrifice and put themselves second to meet someone else’s needs. Despite their larger-than-usual age gap, they are loving souls and a good match. How far will Noah go in his need to protect Tilly?

Not what I was expecting, but oh so good! I loved the way Noah got the nickname of "Boss Daddy". He's a silver fox, and never expected to be attracted to a woman younger than his son. But he's possessive, and he's finally figured out that Tilly is his. Tilly hasn't had the easiest life - an absent father, an acholic/neglectful mother, no chance to get ahead of her circumstances, But going to work for Noah's bar changes all that. It's a better paying job, she's forming a close friendship with a coworker, and Noah watches over her like no one ever has. These two are steaming hot together, and surprisingly tender. Their relationship is unconventional, but it works for them. This is an OTT story, but I just adored it!

One of my favs

In both this series, and by this author. I like her perception and something that I deduced has to come from the way her mind views the world, and understand the human psyche in a way that is very encompassing. That sounds fancy, but it can relative as simple as having an evolved view point in human nature and or a natural emphatic understanding to what dives ppl.
This kink can be written in different ways, and she has a talent is the story telling and writing arts that when allows here in This niche genre comes out excellent. In my option, as some one who has no burst of second had experience with this lifestyle ( by which I mean I've a wide vast view of many real life situations be it through extended family, chosen family\friends, and even last fields I've worked and understand more than most should ha) point being, again it's a niche in this genre thatch really enjoy reading in my love of fictional gateways, still one I've never seen in reality( and the mixed bag is weirdly full of this even being the person who has seen said things find it a little shocking and funny in a way that is like holy cow no way could someone have been exposed to that verify of people s different cultures and world's, if I harden been the one I'd have a hard time understanding how some ONE line myself has seen so much,..) I digress ;
Point is there's a stylistic way these story's can be written that can change them from 100%appealing , to totally missing this mark, and you feel like you've read a shell of a story, or worse sometimes it's like realizing too like the milk was sour before u mixed and drank a huge gulp Of it in your coffee ha.. Make sense? I this it's the subject matter, not every ' troupe ' has the potential to go wrong when written about, this happens to be one of them where unfortunately a simple ingredient like checking the expedition date on milk, is the difference between edible goods or one that have feeling slightly ill....
Ok ive really rambled here so I'll stop... If Megan wade reads this by some flook chance, I'd selfishly request here to write many many more books in this subgenre cause I've read so many dif authors who don't put it down quite like you can, but also know as a non paid artist, just because were good with working in or with a certain medium, doesn't mean it's all that fun to create with hard work even if the fished piece is great that many tell you they'd life to buy.... Ha, it's why I made a conscious decision not to except a scholarship to a well known art program / grad university, cause I didn't want my livelihood( income) dependent of my art, like it would skew what I created just in the very simple fact that it I was depending of doing it To keep the house fed, it would be deal work... ( 20 yrs hindsight, I'm wondering if it would have been worth it considering what ppl in the field I have qualifications for getting paid penny's for despite its real importance lol, and more than half therefore burnout, or do really s*it borderline unethical bad work at it)
Sheesh sorry the end
Read this biook!

Absolutely not. There was so much ick happening in this book that I could not take it. I tried to suspend my disbelief but it was just way too much. I really could not take this and it seemed to get more ridiculous the more the story went on and I just had to give up.

This was a super old man who fell in love with a super young girl (and yes I say girl on purpose because even though she was of age she was basically a child compared to the hero). Both of the main characters acted like children and it was just too much for me. Then there was the whole “daddy” thing that was used in everyday life as well as in a sexual context and it was just ick.

I stopped at the point when the hero’s son was just finding out about their relationship and freaking out. The hero was like “I don’t care, I love her” I’ve known her for about 8 seconds but I can’t live without her. I could not stop rolling my eyes and at that point I did not see or understand the attraction from either of them and I had to stop.

Totally one-dimensional insta-love with way too much ick factor for a story of this length to make up for. Would not recommend.

Nope.
I knew it was an age gap romance before starting and normally I don't mind them. But a 32 year age gap?! That's in the realm of nasty. She's a year younger than his oldest kid. There's an age gap and then there's a multi-generational gap. Yuck. And while it might be a kink or thing for some people, the FMC (Tilly) is just clinging to this relationship because he's the first father aged person who has treated her with any kindness. She hasn't had a dad in her life, so really this relationship is just screaming daddy issues. Nothing a lot of therapy couldn't help with.
This book was originally titled "Boss Daddy" and I'm really not sure why the title was changed. "Sugar Honey Ice Tea" doesn't make any sense. Boss Daddy actually had something to do with the content of the book since Noah's (MMC) employee refers to him as "boss daddy."
Megan Wade's books also come with a "sugar promise" of low drama and high heat. I suppose there wasn't a lot of drama in the book, but I'm not sure I would call this "high heat." Spice is like a 1/5.
I cannot in good conscience recommend this book; I would avoid it if you could.

Insta love story between a 53 year old man and a 21 year old girl. Woo, I like my May/December romances, but I have to admit this was a little bit of a stretch for me (Brad Pitt, 58…Keanu Reeves, 57, Robert Downey Jr, 57…hmm ok I think I can get onboard!)

Anyhoo, I liked this better then some of the other MW stories, because she does add a little bit of strife in. Not a lot, but just enough to keep things interesting.

The hero is widowed(but not in mourning) and he basically raised his 2 sons on his own. His sons are the h’s age. The heroine has had to put off her own dreams, to “raise” her mom. She decides to apply for a job at the H’s dance bar. He is instantly attracted, and puts her on drink duty as he doesn’t want others to ogle her. He ends up taking care of her in other ways as well because he is smitten.

Once again this is a quick story. It is written for all the dreamers out there. I enjoyed it, and will continue to try out more of MW’s quick reads. Of course I am always pleased when the author gives us an epilogue!

Widower dad, innocent woman age-gap

Possible Triggers
Dead wife, overdose
Gay side character (get over it, he's funny)
Cherry Auction (mentioned, not done)

Tilly (21, MFC, innocent)
Noah (53, MMC, veteran)

Tilly leads a hard life, with no father and a useless bum of a mother. Noah owns a Coyote Ugly-style bar, has two kids her age, and is alone. It's a matter of first look causing intense feelings - protective of her on his side, wanting of him on her side. When he finds out just how precarious her situation is, he steps in and steps up. They love each other. But will his sons be okay with the relationship, or will they freak out?
It's an age gap that is larger than I'm normally comfortable with, but the story is so well-written, it's not icky. Most of MW's books are about girls with v- cards meeting their happy forever, and the sugar promise hasn't been broken yet in the ones I've read.

Tilly has spent her life taking care of her mother, now out of money she is looking for another job. Noah is at a point in his life he can do what he wants, he son's are grown and he just wants to be happy. Tilly gets a job at Noah's bar and from the first moment he sees Tilly, Noah's heart skips a few beat and the world looks brighter.

This is a wonderful older man, younger women story with both character understanding what it takes to put others before themselves and delay what they really want in life. Noah has such a big heart and a loving side that anyone close can see it. Tilly is a strong and determined woman that does what she has to even if it mean putting herself second.

They character in this story were a delight and fun to read. I love the character Elijah, he is one of those friends that keep you laughing and sane at the same time.

I really enjoyed this book. Tilly has spent her life taking care of her mother when she realizes her mother has spent all her college fund on booze and men. Noah has raised his 2 sons alone, and finally has his dream of owning a bar. When Tilly applies sparks fly. The girls who dance on the bar top get great tips but Noah will not allow Tilly to dance on the bar because he's all Alpha and wants her for himself. There's the age difference, he's 53 and she's 21 but the chemistry between them is off the charts. When Noah's youngest son who is 20 finds out he says some awful things and Tilly of course is very hurt and walks away. This was a really sweet read, loved the sexy scenes and wanted to slap Tilly's mom a hundred times as I read this book. Very quick sexy read with a HEA and I really enjoyed reading it. Tilly is living with her mother who uses her. Tilly dreams of going to college but that dream is slowly disappearing. Her mother tells her about job opportunities at a local bar where they have dancers. Arriving at the bar she is hired by Elijah. Elijah has a good working relationship with his boss Noah teasing him by calling him Boss Daddy. However when Noah sees Tilly for the first time feelings long dormant are brought back to life!

I really enjoyed reading this engaging story. I really liked how the relationship developed slowly but when Tilly and Noah acknowledged their feelings the passion and chemistry skyrocket! The story is well written and fast paced. The story is written from dual POVs and reveals the thoughts feelings and emotions as they explore their relationship, and navigate obstacles together. Noah is swoonworthy as he protects Tilly and gives her the future that they deserve! There is a HEA.

Brilliant

Brilliant loved it. Tilly has to get another job with bills pilling up and her mum not able to hold a job down is down on her luck until she goes to try get a job at the new bar in town doesn’t just serve drinks also the girls dance on the bar.
Noah owner of Stomp and Swill first sees Tilly as she is trying out for a job when Elijah mentions about her dancing on the bar it’s a straight no from Noah he won’t have his girl dancing on any bars. Noah knows Tilly is his she just doesn’t know it yet he knows he is older than Tilly but it’s been along time he has had this reaction for a woman.
Tilly wants to be Noah’s but does he see her as being too young but he makes sure she is safe if her mum is having men over she stays at Noah’s house Tilly tells Noah she wants him and he gives her her first ever kiss and tells her that she belongs to him and he wants her by his side forever.

Noah is shocked how he reacts to Tilly as she is the same age as his sons but he wants her.
Tilly is struggling to save for college but after three years from her graduation when she found her mother had drained the college funds set up by her grandparents dry all she has in her savings jar is $42 plus change. When her mother mentions that a bar is hiring she goes and applies for a job as she knows how to tend bar from the job she has been doing. Elijah the assistant interviews her and tells her he can teach her to dance but that their need is for a bartender at the moment. Bar owner Noah sees the young woman Elijah is interviewing he is shocked by his reaction to her and interrupts to state that he wants her working the bar not dancing as he realizes the only person he wants looking at her is him.

Tilly is 21 years old and has had to take care of a drunk mother. Tilly needs to find another job because her Mother just lost her job again. Tilly goes looking for another job and ends up at the Stomp & Swill bar. After passing a test on making drinks Elijah runs into the bosses office to get an application. Tells the boss he just hired someone who can pull a beer and make any drink you want. After Noah sees her he wants to grab her, taker her home with him, and wake up with her everyday. Who cars that she 21 and he's 53. Beautiful love story. I love how Noah makes Tilly feel as if she belongs. She's never had that in her life. Their love is some how pure and make you believe in love again. Love this story. Gonna read more from this author. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

He may be her boss but he definitely isn't her Daddy

Boss Daddy by Megan Wade is the fourth book in the A DILF for Father's Day series with each book by a different author. This is the story of Tilly and Noah and it is a fun and entertaining romp through Daddy land. Noah is an older man who owns a bar. Tilly is a young woman who goes to work at the bar because she needs money to pay for bills and to save to be able to go to college. There is an instant attraction and Noah is protective of Tilly from the first time he sees her. But there is a build up and progression to their relationship as Noah thinks he should stay away from her. But with a beautiful young woman like Tilly he cannot stay away from her forever. In the end they get a very hot and steamy HEA that warms your heart.

This could have been an easy 4 star read if it weren’t for the conflict that was spawned by the hero’s, well, neglect towards his sons.

Like literally. How come you date this girl for a month, she is the love of your life and you don’t even manage to pick up the phone an say “Hey sons. I met someone special” and ease the kids into the idea of a girlfriend that young.

This conflict is unnecessary and avoidable.
I did not like it at all.

Other than that this novella would have been good!
I love the dance bar - I ADORE Elijah. He sounds like such a good friend. I would have loved to have this dynamic explored more.
Meaning maybe a few more pages, showing the day to day as a bartender with the girls.

Something that shows me what kind of great job this is.

So yeah.
The conflict in this one spoiled it for me sadly.

Tilly is saving to go to college, but her savings are meager, as her drunken mom spends most of the money. When they are behind on bills again her mom tells her to get another job. Tilly applies for a job at Noah’s bar, she gets hired, but only to work behind the bar and is forbidden to dance. Noah is attracted to her from the moment they meet, but he thinks he should stay away because he’s so much older than her. Over time they get to know each other and Noah cares for her like no one she’s ever known. The chemistry between these two is steamy hot. A quick and steamy read and I loved every single page of it!

Noah owns his business. He is widowed with two adult sons, ex military man and liked by his workers. Tilly is down on her luck, working and trying to support her mother and trying to save for college. She comes to Noah’s bar to apply for a job which would give her more money. Noah takes an interest in her and he tries to help her out. Noah that his personal life was pretty much decided. When he starts helping Tilly he starts thinking she needs to be in his life. Great characters who love, laugh, and are passionate about each other. They have some family turmoil on both sides. Can they survive? Can they love? Can they change people’s mind or does it matter? It’s a great short romantic story!

Oh I am so loving this series by Megan Wade and Dream Daddy was no exception. Tilly is struggling to save money for college while she supports a mother with addictions. After her mother spends all the money she suggests Tilly apply at the Stomp and Swill Bar as a dancer. With little other options, Tilly applies but as a bartender instead. Noah is the owner of the bar and has raised his two sons on his own but when he sees Tilly, he is blown away. There is no way he will allow her to dance and allow other men to look at her. This series just gets better and better. I loved how protective Noah was over Tilly from the very beginning. He realized she was the one he had been waiting for. If you enjoy older man/younger woman super steamy romance, you will love Noah and Tilly's story!
