MINE
A sleepy town in southwest Virginia wakes up to a nightmare of untimely deaths.

Not safe at home in Boston, science teacher Kate Hamilton seeks refuge in the small Virginia town where she was born and raised.

Scarborough is no longer the bucolic village that she remembered. Pleasantries are only skin deep as big city issues and the politics of the world roil just under the surface.

A string of untimely deaths has the whole town grieving. Only Kate thinks something nefarious is afoot.

Can Kate convince the local police that coincidences like these are only found in fiction?

Kate is determined to solve the puzzle and save lives, especially her own.

YOURS
No Good Deed Goes Unpunished

Science teacher Kate Hamilton is hiding out in the small Virginia town where she was born and raised.

Her marriage is in tatters. Her future uncertain. Kate begins the new semester at Boonestown High teaching their new STEM CSI classes.

Good deeds can be deadly.

OURS
Ours is but to do or die.

Kate is moving to Washington D.C. to be closer to her disabled SEAL husband.

The Kate Hamilton Mysteries Boxed Set: Iniquus Security Action Adventure Boxed Set Book 7 is by Fionna Quinn. This set of three novellas is part of the books based on Iniquus that I am reading. These novellas deal with Randy and Kate Hamilton.
Randy had acquired a brain injury while on a mission in Afghanistan with his SEAL team. This injury is causing him great pain and sometimes he gets so angry that he could hurt Kate. This was the type of injury he was afraid of getting. In order to protect Kate, he has asked her to leave him or he would leave. He never asked her nor talked it over with her. His former team members are there to look out for him and he has his service dog. Simply to quiet him down, Kate decided to spend the summer doing a CSI internship in her old hometown and visiting her aunt and uncle at the same time. She is hoping to be able to change Randy’s mind. While at home, she is involved in several murder cases.
In the second book, she takes a semester job teaching CSI as part of a STEM grant in a town near her aunt. She is hoping to make a difference in how girls view science. Still estranged from her husband, she has to tell him long distance that she is carrying their baby. He visits her at a hotel when she goes to Washington DC to attend a former SEAL’s funeral and he presents her with divorce papers. She tears them up and returns to her aunt’s only to find the police there to notify her that Randy has been in a motorcycle accident and is in the hospital with another head injury.
In the third book, she takes a job teaching in Washington DC in conjunction with the police department. This time her class is entirely boys and she really must prove herself a good teacher as they are hardcore boys and she is pregnant. While visiting one of the boys and his mother, a man is found in a dumpster and has been stabbed. It is a real-life example to help her boys learn about investigating. Will it make a difference?
It certainly made it easier and quicker to read this section of the series by having them together in the set

MINE
She goes to visit her aunt, to give her husband space, while he is trying a new treatment. The day she arrives her uncle passes. She is there for the summer to get credit, on narcotics, and visit crime scene. The body count rises rapidly in this small town. The pills, the politics, and accidents that are showing now as murder. An interesting plot
YOURS
Kate leaves a husband and her life in Boston’s, because he asked her to.
Staying with her aunt and teaching at a school close by. Teaching them to go into the woods for crime evidence and how it is different from what they see on Tv, Her aunt telling her of the missing teacher, surprised the kids would go into the Woods. The watch that was found, a mystery, when she finds the owner, a nightmare has began for Tim and Kate. Good plot, with some unusual twists
OURS
She is in Washington teaching her CSI to inner city kids. A challenge for her, and with being pregnant. Her husband is getting more treatments and hopes something works. While relating her job, a body is found, will he live, with that it makes this type of investigation more real for these kids.
Good series, different plots in each

An exciting and informative series.

A very informative series.
The descriptions of police work and especially the way CIS was taught by Kate to her students was very clearly stated and informative.
The story line of her and husband, Ryan, and his injuries was detailed and interesting. The added story of being pregnant added to the whole plot.
I have read many of her books and the familiarity of characters from these other books added to the story. I'd finished Fear The Reaper not long ago.
I enjoy and follow this author and look forward to her other novels.

While this is a collection of novellas, I found them well worth the read. They offer great depth and background for several of the other series written by Fiona Quinn. While I found them easy to follow without reading any of the other books in the Iniquus storyline, I will be going back to read them in order as all of the Iniquus stories do intertwine and I believe they will be best enjoyed in written order.

A terrific series

I was kind of confused about how this series had anything to do with the Iniquus World, but after reading this, it's certainly not a series to be missed. There were many unexpected twists, suspenseful situations, emotional turmoil, as well as drama, but overall it was a fantastic collection of stories.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

KATE SEEMS TO BE A MAGNET FOR MURDERS

Kate has gone to her old home while her husband fights for his sanity. She is studying crime investigations and how to teach them to others. But in a place that hasn’t had a murder in decades she finds four and gets her classes involved in finding the murderer. This happens again and again and Kate can’t stay out of it. Great reads and very injoyable

Great Mysteries

I really enjoyed the 3 short stories featuring Kate Hamilton. Each of the mysteries was interesting as was the process Kate used to solve them. Her husband’s issues with PTSD added to the story as well as how his doctors treated him to allow them to go back to their lives together.

Good read

A biology teacher, furthering her certification, two groups of high school students, taking her CSI classes, solve murders. The teacher is pregnant and trying to help her disabled vet husband, deal with war related head trauma. These are not quick, mindless reads. Extremely technical and intense.

Kate Hamilton

She's taught biology for ten years and now has a degree in CSI. During her time with her aunt and then in her new job in DC she's been involved in the crime scenes and the apprehension of 3 murderers while being pregnant and having a husband suffering from a head injury. Love this author.

I thought this story was a little slow and predictable. It could have been better. The best part was when Kate and Ryan came together. (I "read" the audible edition.)
