This was an OK read and end to the duology but not what I was hoping for following book one. I was expecting the heroine to have some form of amnesia but that was not the case. She not only remembered her mates but also fell right into the new mate bond with Tao. Bartlet's reaction to her mating was also infuriating. I don't care if she came back with 8 shifter mates, after suffering through the torture she did at the hands of her father, she did not deserve his treatment or reaction. With her being rescued I also expected the book to be a bit more action packed than it was. Also her father already being dead was quite a let down as I wanted him to suffer for what he did. I think because the book wasn't exactly what I hoped for, my mind drifted away a bit and so the magic and witchcraft taking place kind of went over my head. Her father was messing with things beyond his control and I wish he actually could have paid for his crimes. Was an OK read, didn't feel like much of a RH either since the story is so much more focused on outside story and revenge than their relationship. Though Tao did sort of jump into things eyes wide open and I appreciated his willingness to accept his mate and the other two men in her life. Think overall it would have worked for me if they did not have an already established relationship.

This book is dark, violent and steamy with witches, magic, vampires and shifters, what more could you need?

This is book 2 of the series and completed the story. I enjoyed the book and the story overall.
Neale has been kidnapped and tortured and her two mates are frantically trying to get her back, but when they do she returns with another mate, a hell of a lot has happened to her since she left. They then have to fight against her father and his unknown magical army to restore balance to their world.
It got a bit much for me with all the constant devotion to each other which was obviously always followed with sex. It would have been nice to have had some interaction between the mates without it turning into kisses/groping/sex every time (unless this is what you like, in which case this is definitely the book for you!).
The writing was excellent, the characters were really interesting and it all kept me immersed in the story.

**Warning this book is dark and bloody so if it is not your jam then do not read it.**
With that said.... Hell F*cking Yes, I have waited patiently for this book. It was awesome. I love how not only is it dark but there are some funny parts through out the book. So Nealey is found and brought back. Well Barlet may not have liked what happened but what can you do accept ask why? Well we do find out and I was like what?!? Then Adder such a softie but just as ruthless. Do we find out that if they get Nealey's father Alexion? Wait lets not forget about Selena and Alerea, those are two crazy beeshes. Lets hope everyone gets what they deserve. There is also tragedy so you will need tissues, I was unprepared for that. Not cool Lucy!! That ending, gave me goosebumps. I loved every thing about this book and sated my black heart. I love you Lucy for bringing this book to life.

The last book in this series completely killed it (quite literally). It certainly made me run the gambit of emotions from tearful to annoyance & happiness. Sad that one of my favourite characters died & annoyance at Barlet (he made me want to slap him silly at different points in this book) but overall happiness with Neale, Tao, Adder and eventually Barlet. Loved that ending they got. Although my heart went out to Samwune though. I really felt for him with what happened to him. I just wanted to hug him. Just a brilliant duet of books though

This book is a hot, steamy and crazy emotional journey. With Tao rescuing Neale at the start of the book from here we see some crazy twists and quite a few sad deaths but all this creates an amazing strong story to leave you feeling every bit of the many emotions this book puts out.
Neale, Tao, Adder and Barlet are such strong characters in their own ways that they make a great family that you will want to be part of. Totally explosive ending with a massive shock for Neale in an amazing way.

Lucy lucy what shall I do with you? Wow what an amazing ending to this series, I'm sad to see it end but you gave it the perfect finale! This book sucked me in from the start, it had me on a rollercoaster of emotions from sad, happy, angry to just plain blown away. The twist and turns I didn't expect some deaths I cried to see but at the end it was soo worth it. Brilliant writing and such an outstanding story, if you haven't started the series you are truly missing out!!

Lucy did again she sucked me into her book gave me hope killed it gave me more hope made me cry, scream at certain characters and cheer them on. And then kills me with an amazing wonderful perfect ending.
This series I'm so sad it was only two books long but it was beautiful written and perfect in every way.

Loved this one!!! This is book 2. Omg it was so good. So little warning as this book is on the dark side. So it’s not for everyone. Everyone else you have to read this!!!! Emotional at some parts but I absolutely loved it. Lucy your amazing amazing author. This storyline is freaking fantastic. Seriously this is a must read book. Definitely recommend.

Heart wrenching paranormal RH series with all the feels. The action never stops and the angst level is high throughout. It’s steamy AF and the addition of another mate only increased that aspect. Beautifully erotic mm scenes and powerful romantic attachments between all the main characters and in side relationships as well. Definitely recommend.

Omg what a fantastic read! It ripped my head out and put it back together. Definitely a must read for anyone that loves dark books that give you all the feels. Such great character development and storyline. Plus it was hot hot hot. Lucy is one of my favorite writers. Must read!

This duet conclusion was EPIC! Deliciously dark, action packed, no character is safe, utter perfection! Neale is back in the arms of her guys, well sort of. Tao is still my favorite. I wanted to throat punch one of her other guys on more than one occasion, but no spoilers so I won't say which one. Oh and did I already mention that no character was safe, because holy S pack some tissues you're gonna need them. LSB is BRUTAL and pulls no punches when it comes to who is on the chopping block. All is fair in love and war and honey this war was incredible! 100% a must read duet!!
