The Teacher's Star

Rate this book
Rustlers and a mystified marshal. A treasure map and a missing child. Why does nothing make sense to this smart school teacher?

Forced into the role of a U. S. marshal, Delia Perkins keeps that a secret and goes on with her life as a teacher in the small town of Belle, Wyoming. After all, she's only a courier. While waiting for her contact, she's drawn to the man she's sure is a part of a gang of rustlers.
Roland Anderson juggles training both his horses and his daughter. The bad thing is that the horses are better behaved than his little girl. He has a job to do, but the new teacher is on his thoughts much too often.
Will Delia Perkins give him away before he can find and arrest the leader of the gang of thieves?
When the two are forced into a sudden marriage, will Roland be able to catch the thieves without losing either his wife or his daughter?
This is one Valentine's Day that neither Delia nor Roland will soon forget.

Loved reading Delia and Rol's story!! Eenie was a great character, too!! Loved that Delia is made a US Marshal for awhile, too!! Wonderful book!! Can't say too much that won't given something away!! Started and finished this book today!

I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is totally my own.

This is part of a series but you don’t have to read those before to understand the story ( I hadn’t read them.) A Marshal knew he needed help and a woman moving to a new life meet up, she never realizing how important that meeting would be.
A town where no one really knew the “true” identity of each other with an outlaw gang in the mist, and two undercovered Marshals. One of those Marshals was wanting more for his young daughter would a “ set up” change his life for the better?
Wonderful storyline with romance, a little comedy, adventure, and twists within the story you’ll not want to put it down. Author also includes a note from her in the back giving you real live data about things within the book, neat huh?
Clean fun book so I can recommend for my preteen advanced reading friends or anyone that wants a nice story

Oh that was fun!

The main characters, including the little girl, were well written and believable. There was danger and excitement, and emotional moments too—all believably written.

Sorry I let it sit on my TBR list for so long.

As the title states, the teacher in this book had a star, probably not in the way you would think! I don't want to give the story away! Just know it is a very interesting inspirational suspense romance! If that's your kind of book, you will love it like I did!

Sweet read. At times I felt the story was rushed. It seemed to lack some details that would have made it more realistic. Would read more by this author to see if that is the case with all her stories.

The Teacher's Star

Very good book. She is sworn in on the train to her new teaching job as a US Marshall. But who is the bad guy? Good clean romance.

I really enjoyed this story. Delia has quite the adventure as she travels from Missouri to Montana for a teaching job. The adventure continues after she settles there.

This is more of a short story. The premise is good but it could be expanded for a nice novella. I felt that some details were cut out or omitted.

This is a good short read. The characters are unique especially Delia. It is a glimpse of the way things were in the old West. The story flows quickly and is a nice, entertaining read.

Delia Perkins took a job as School Teacher in Belle, Wyoming. It was about to become the most exciting thing that had happened in her life.
The train ride out was uneventful, until she met an older man who incessantly questioned her... Why she had no idea but was becoming alarmed. He looked ill and looked worse by the minute, until finally he barely seemed to be hanging on. He handed her papers, and right then and there, swore her in as a U.S. Marshal! He handed her a packet to deliver to his contact, another Marshall. But who... The only name he gave her seemed to be the criminal he was searching for!
Upon arrival in town, Delia met Enid Anderson, a troublesome student who had her at her wits end, and her father, by the same name as the criminal the Marshal had warned her about, Roland Anderson... 4 months later, after many trials with Enid who was a prankster, Delia had a meeting with "the criminal" to discuss his daughter. Things changed then and there... As things moved smoothly, Rol as the Marshal had called him decided to sneak in and find out what was really going on. That's when he discovered her swearing in paper and revealed himself to Delia... Caught alone with her in the teachers quarters behind the school, a marriage was rushed and things heat up... Perameters of the case and her teaching career change...
Danger abounds. Enid's dreams of a treasure to keep her daddy home will bring much excitement to the end of this story.
I love the way the Author blends these two people into a happy couple.. Both have pasts they would love to have fade away, but they know they must share them to find true happiness.

Delia is on her way to Belle as the new Teacher. On the train, a sick marshal enlists her help. Now, she's a temporary US Marshal and is expecting someone to make contact with her. But no one does. What can she do but ask some questions around town...
Roland's daughter is acting up in school. He thinks she hates the new Teacher. But something isn't sitting right.
This is a clean, sweet romance. It was so good! The mystery was captivating and I just loved the idea of her being undercover while still teaching.
Definitely one of my favourites in this series!

Delia thinks she will have less problems with her mixed heritage by becoming a teacher out west. Under emergency conditions she is sworn in as a Marshall on train trip to Belle. With just one name given to her she had to figure out what's going on. When she meets the school bully's father she thinks he is the enemy. Is he, or is he the only one in town that can help her solve her assignment she was given.on the train? Will her heritage become a help or a hindrance?

This is one of those stories that has it all: Great characters, lots of action and suspense, danger, a missing child, surprises and romance. The author has put together a real page turner; one I could not put down until I had read the entire story in one sitting. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it!!! Don't miss this one.
