WOLF UNTAMED by Paige Tyler is the eleventh book in the SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team paranormal romantic suspense series and is set in contemporary times in Dallas, Texas.

Officer Diego Martinez and his fellow SWAT team members are at another crime scene. When he meets newly turned werewolf Brandon Harlow and the teenager’s mother, Bree, life gets interesting. As the SWAT team’s big case converges with Bree’s case as an insurance investigator, the danger and action ramps up quickly.
Diego and Bree are fantastic characters. While Diego is an alpha and protective, Bree is a strong female protagonist. They balance each other well. There is an immediate attraction, but the first steamy scene isn’t until about 60 percent of the way through the book. Not only does this allow Diego and Bree to get to know each other, but the reader also gets insights into their strengths and flaws. Besides Diego and Bree being compelling characters that felt three-dimensional, Brandon shows significant growth during the course of the book. The secondary characters were well-rounded and the antagonist was well-drawn. The prologue gives some background on Diego. I wish this had somehow been incorporated into the main part of the book rather than being a flashback in time.

The plot was complex with lots of twists and turns and the stakes were high. The significant amount of danger and action kept me fully engaged and made this a true page turner for me. The author uses a unique take on werewolves and does a good job of explaining this.

This is a riveting story with protagonists that I liked and cheered on as their cases progressed and became ever more dangerous. It held my attention fully and contained the elements that I love in this genre of books. This is definitely a book that delivers on escapism through attraction, friendship, family, romance and love while also tackling serious issues including anger, stressful situations, crime sprees, suicide and changes in life, family relationships, drugs and selfless sacrifice for others.

Overall, it was suspenseful, full of danger, and heartwarming. This combination kept me fully engaged and delivered on the promise of its premise and opening scenes. The subplots tied together well, the main characters were strong and the ending was explosive. If you enjoy thrilling paranormal romantic suspense novels, then I recommend you check out this series. There is enough background that WOLF UNTAMED can be read as a standalone. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.

Wolf Untamed by Paige Tyler
SWAT (Special Wolf Alpha Team) series book 11. Paranormal romantic suspense. Wolf shifters as a police SWAT unit in Dallas.

Diego rescues Bree and her son Brandon from a hostage situation. Pheromones immediately trigger and Diego knows he wants to see more of Bree.
A teenager and recently triggered beta wolf, Brandon needs help learning what it means to be a werewolf. Diego will help teach him better control and naturally takes over as the protector and father figure role.
Dinner, movies, monopoly and salsa dancing while Diego works with his team to investigate strange events happening in Dallas. With similar job characteristics, Bree investigates a group of home robberies that appear staged.

Fast moving and thrilling. I didn’t want to put it down until the end. Now I want to know...
Cliffhanger in the last sentence for the series, not the couple.
Surely there is something up with Connor and Kat, the cat that should be revealed soon?
This one hit the high notes for me, more so than the last few books in the series.

Excerpt:
“Bree considered that before answering. “[…] the thought that my own son is lying to me tears me apart inside.”
The pain he knew she must be feeling right then seemed to be a tangible thing, as though a steel band tightened around his chest, and breathing became almost impossible.
“I was already going to help him get his inner werewolf under control and come to grips with his nature, so I could talk to him about the drug stuff, too, if you want,” he suggested softly. Diego held his breath, worried he might be overstepping a bit with the offer. When he saw tears glisten in Bree’s eyes, he was sure he had. Before he realized what he was doing, he moved closer on the couch, his thigh touching hers as he leaned in to catch the first tear before it could slide down her cheek.
“Hey, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to upset you.” he said gently. “If you don’t want me talking to him about any of this, I won’t.”
Bree let out a little laugh. “It’s not that.” Her small, slim hand came up to wrap around his, her fingers curling around the one he’d used to wipe away the tears. “It’s just that I can’t believe how lucky I am to have met you.”
He lifted a brow. “I’m not sure if I’d say our meeting was very lucky since you and Brandon were being held hostage at the time.”
She laughed again, this time with an accompanying smile that had his stomach doing cartwheels and barrel rolls.
“Yeah, but if Brandon and I hadn’t been taken hostage, we would never have met you,” she said. “Which would have left my son still lost and confused, and me with no way to help him. You’ve come into our lives at the exact moment we needed you. That’s why we’re lucky.”

Bizarre circumstances surround robberies around the city and now a seemingly crazed hostage-taker leads SWAT alpha werewolf, Diego Martinez, into an unforgettable encounter. Another action-packed, romantic installment in a favorite series.

Wolf Untamed is the eleventh installment in the SWAT (Special Wolf Alpha Team) paranormal romantic suspense series. It will work standalone in a pinch, but the group dynamics and background to the book's world are built in previous books.

Diego, like his SWAT teammates, is baffled by seemingly ordinary Dallas citizens snapping and becoming armed robbers. Is there a new drug getting to them? His latest call takes him into a hostage situation as the team's hostage negotiator. He gets inside with the gunman and discovers that things are even more complicated because one of the hostages is a newly turned beta werewolf who is struggling to hide his glowing eyes, fangs, and claws let alone a volatile emotional surge.
Afterward, he found himself reluctant to part from the boy and his mother and chooses to involve himself in helping the new werewolf as well as get to know his gorgeous, smart mother better. She may be The One, but her possessive, controlling ex means Diego has to be extra careful and slow.

Bree Harlow doesn't know if her son is into drugs or gangs, but his refusal to talk to her has her worried after everything else her ex put them through even after he went to prison for killing a guy in anger. He continues to stalk them and won't take her refusal to be a family again as a final answer. But, then she learns the truth of her son's issues all in the same day they are rescued by a big, heroic police officer who she most definitely wants to go on a date with and maybe more, but then he totally melted her heart when he takes her son under his wing and has no issues with the package deal. Between investigating her big insurance fraud robbery cases and welcoming Diego into their lives, her life has just gotten pretty exciting.

Wolf Untamed was a good balance of suspense and romance with not just the paranormal element from the werewolves involved, but something hinky going on with their latest string of connected cases. I really loved this one for the sensual, but adorable romance between Diego and Bree, the time spent on helping Brandon work through more than beginner werewolf troubles, and the intriguing suspense and action. The case had some good twists and an interesting paranormal element came to light.

I love how these books are written in a way that is easy and quick in reading, but layered with good character, romance, and suspenseful plot development. Sometimes you want all the colorful, sensual, tension-wrought pages without a book tiring you out and that is the beauty of this author's writing. There is plenty of conflict with mostly external, but sometimes a struggle in a character or in the romance, but there is a maturity in how her characters handle any and all of it. Her heroines are brave and gutsy alongside the heroes, but not stupid or dangerously impulsive. It is obvious that she writes with knowledge about the ins and outs of law enforcement when it comes to the characters and situations. Just an all-around steady, strong story, but also sizzling with chemistry and taunt with exciting moments.

I am not sure who gets their story next, but I'm curious what Trey will have to owe the medical examiner as their favor called in and what comes of Mike and the police chief.

All in all, this was a real page-turner that left me with a silly, happy smile after an entertaining read. Those who enjoy romantic suspense mixed with a strong dose of paranormal should give this book/series a go.

My thanks to Sourcebooks Casablanca for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Paige Tyler's SWAT series has generally been a whole load of fun and the dizzying number of permutations that Tyler comes up with when it comes to getting a SWAT werewolf law enforcement officer matched with his special one has made for very entertaining reading. 'Wolf Untamed', the 11th book in this series, is probably testament to how her werewolf universe is simply growing and expanding, although I might personally be struggling a little with reader-fatigue as this goes on. Elements (like the appearance of vampires and hunters, for instance) that were added on in previous books didn't make their reappearance consistently and I for one, missed the interesting and complicated dynamics that these characters added on.

Undoubtedly, Diego/Bree's story is action-packed, with many things going on at once that didn't let up...at all. With the plot primarily focused around Bree's shady ex and her son's emerging beta-wolf side and his shady dealings with friends who might be leading him astray, there's nary a free moment that Bree or Diego have to themselves before they're hauled off to another event that calls for their attention. Yet, their coming together is written as kismet (or in Tyler's universe, the myth of 'The One') and thus, there was never any question that Diego/Bree would simply slide into a relationship that didn't once falter from the start.

A very odd, bizarre twist and revelation at the end really threw me off though, and stretched my ability to suspend any disbelief. As a rushed add-on, so to speak - like a tantalising glimpse of what might be explored in later books - it was something to latch onto, though I wished this had been shaped into something more substantial instead of an afterthought.

Diego works with SWAT. All the men on his team are werewolves. He is a negotiator and is called in to talk a guy down who has taken patrons at a diner hostage.
Bree is worried. Ever since her son was shot, he has been acting different and won't talk to her about it. She has brought him to the dinner to see if she can get him to talk. Now they are hostages.
After the incident at the diner has ended, it's time to talk to the beta and help him. Bree has just found out her son is a werewolf and they are both struggling with this knowledge. She is happy that Diego is here to help them. While they are getting to know each other, they are both dealing with the cases they are working on plus her ex keeps showing up. They soon realize he is part of both their cases.
Will they solve their cases? Will their relationship grow?

Lots of action, a smart leading lady, her newly turned teenage son, a mysteries to be solved and...werewolves!

This is a great addition to the SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team series by Paige Tyler. There’s action throughout mixed with romance. Both main characters, Diego and Bree, are smart, sensitive and caring. Bree is no shrinking violet and faces her job and other issues head-on. There’s action you would expect from the SWAT crew but also touching moments in helping Bree’s son Brandon assimilate to his new “normal”.

A great story to take you away from the issues of today and delve into a fantasyland!

Wolf Untamed is the latest book in Paige Tyler’s SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team Series. Just like all of the other books in the series, Paige continues to come up with new material that you just don’t see coming. You would think that at this point she would run out of good stories to tell about this dynamic team of werewolves.

This time, the story is about Dallas SWAT team member Diego Martinez and Bree Harlow who is “The One” for Diego. Paige throws in Bree’s teenage son who has no idea that he is a werewolf. I would have thought that would have been enough to keep things interesting but there are other more bizarre things going on that I couldn’t explain if I tried. Of course, you will have to read the book to figure that out for yourself. Diego and Bree have the usual chemistry and scorching hot bedroom antics. But we also get to see Diego display a fatherly side of himself that he didn’t know he had considering the fact that his father left the family when he was younger. Unlike the other books in this series, I felt like Wolf Untamed had a different familial element to it which made it more meaningful. It was very deep and unpredictable. There is also plenty of action.

I love this series and can’t wait to read the next book, Rogue Wolf. I can only imagine what direction Paige takes the team next. Either way, I know that I won’t be disappointed.

Diego, Bree & Brandon

Diego has been the negotiator in many hostage situations. This one was different and too similar to some other crimes to ignore. Another difference is that he's distracted by one of the hostages. He finds more excuses to spend time with her until he realizes she just as attracted. Not only that he likes her teen son and the kid seems to like him too. The reason could just bind the three in a way they hadn't seen coming.

Bree's a smart, talented professional woman and a caring single mother. Some trouble she didn't see coming makes her consult Diego for advice. Advice and so much more.

The story is action filled, steamy, has plenty of surprises, and plenty of time with the members of his swat team. The romance is hot, complicated and one the reader has to cheer on. I'm a fan of the series and loved it can't wait for more.

Wolf Untamed is a sweet single mom romance. SWAT werewolf Diego Martinez may be an alpha but he is clueless when it comes to love and a newly turned teenage werewolf. Give him a hostage negotiation any day. I loved watching him fall for Bree and her son. This is an exciting tale of love and intrigue. This is part of a series but can be read standalone.

I love this series. Diego is a negotiator on the SWAT team of werewolves. He works to save Brandon and Bree while they are held hostage. Bree is a single mom and trying her best to raise Brandon, who she doesn't know has secrets of his own. The romance is sweet and sizzling. The relationship between a beta and his alpha is intriguing. They really seem like people you want to know!

I loved this book. It has some very unusual twists that made for a riveting read. Bree's ex is a psycho. His master plan didn't account for Diego or the swat team. Steamy, intriguing and very well written i highly recommend this book.

Bree is an insurance investigator, lives with her teenage son, and her sister. Bree and Brandon are held hostage in a diner. Diego is a werewolf and member of the SWAT team as the negotiator. He is sent in to he diner and immediately smells a beta werewolf. After Bree and Brandon are rescued, Diego explains to them what Brandon is going through. Bree takes it very well and she invites Diego over to have dinner with them. Diego believes Bree is THE ONE but won’t tell her. Something is going on with the people in the city. Diego and his pack start investigating and find out it’s tied to Bree’s ex husband. Can they figure out what’s going on before more people die?
Excellent story. Action and suspense. I was totally shocked and wished I hadn’t finished it so fast. I love these books and I believe this is my favorite so far.

I really liked this one from the start, liked how Diego realized there was more going on in the dinner than he realized, stuff that only the SWAT team could deal with, an unstable werewolf. Something about Brandon being so young and vulnerable made me root for him and I was glad that Diego was there to help Brandon when things spun out of control I thought both Brandon and Bree took the news of werewolves pretty well, no freaking out, but then again thinking your son was on drugs after being shot and almost dying, being a werewolf isn't so bad.

The attraction between Bree and Diego was strong right away and I liked that both of them were open to figuring things out and how fun was it that Bree is the one that made the first move. So among showing Brandon the ropes as a werewolf, Diego also dated Bree. It was fun to see Diego walk the line between Alpha werewolf and dad with Brandon, but it was something both of them ended up loving. I loved how Bree found out about The One and her likely being that person for Diego.

The crimes the SWAT guys were working were crazy! I sort of guessed the bad guys early on, but learning what was going on and how was actually a bit gross. I'm glad that the guys kept at it until they got every thing figured out and the bad guys put away where they couldn't hurt anyone again.

This is another winner in the paranormal shifter police series by Paige Tyler. This story is Diego Martinez, a former SEAL turned werewolf in a near death experience and now is a SWAT cop still saving lives. This story opens quickly in a crisis situation with Diego doing his job and meet Bree & Brandon Harlow as hostages of a crazy man. Diego quickly realizes the teen Brandon is a newly turned werewolf about to lose control in the chaos. He and his team manage to keep everyone but the crazy man alive and so starts another adventure with the SWAT team.

Bree Harlow is an insurance investigator for a high end insurance company. She's good at her job. She lives with her sister and her teen son, Brandon. Brandon has only one friend and unfortunately the only kids that are interested in befriending them are bad news. Brandon ended up at the wrong place at the wrong time and was shot & almost died, that turned on his werewolf gene that Diego recognizes. Diego reaches out to mother & son seeking to help them through this change in their lives.

Bree's ex-husband, Dave Cowell has recently been released from prison for murder. He has anger and control issues and Bree just wants him to stay away from her and Brandon. Dave is a possessive narcissist who is determined to get his wife back . He works at an investment firm and has been stalking them.

Diego's team is investigating strange activities that have recently happened in town with ordinary people suddenly doing violent things with no memory of doing them. Bree on the other hand is investigating strange break in and thefts that are more than they appear. She's gathering evidence to take to the police so her company doesn't have to pay out huge funds to their insured customers if it's not necessary. Eventually their two investigations merge and they discover who and what are behind them.

Wolf Untamed in the eleventh book in Paige Tyler’s SWAT (SpecialWolf Alpha Team) series. This book is a romantic suspense novel filled with danger, intrigue, fantastic characters, great chemistry and heart-melting romance.

A hostage situation at a local diner, brings SWAT werewolf Diego Martinez and Bree Harlow together. The instant connection between Diego and Bree was evident from the start and the pull he felt towards her teenage son Brandon, a newly turned werewolf, called to his wolf. As an unexplainable wave of violence has hit the area, it seems that Diego, Bree and Brandon are caught in the middle. Will Diego and his SWAT team be able to protect the family he’s come to think of as his own? Read it and find out!

I truly enjoyed reading Diego and Bree’s story. They were fantastic together and I loved how easily Diego accepted Brandon into his life. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. All the books in this series contain a happily ever after and can be read as a standalone, however, reading it in order will give you a better appreciation for the characters and the series itself.

We have here book 11 in a wonderful series by Ms. Tyler.
Diego Martinez comes to the rescue of Bree and her son Brandon. What he doesn’t expect is that her son is coming into something he was not aware of, and fully understands as he himself went through those things. Bree is confused and that’s putting it mildly until Diego explains the changes Brandon is going through.

What I loved about this book from the minute I started was the way it drew me in, and held me throughout the book. It had my heart feeling so many things. It had it jumping and it made me smile when a special moment happened between Brandon and Diego as well as Bree. It was so very heartwarming.

There was a scene which is dire and nail biting Diego and his teammates are there to help when Her sister is not thinking right and is attacking Diego. He knows what has happened and needs to think fast. When he sees Brandon and Bree aren’t there, but first needs to help her sister. They all have become so very important to him. There’s nothing he won’t do for there safety.

Buy the book to see what happens because there’s so much more to come.

This is my favorite book so far in Paige's SWAT series. I love Diego and Bree, and the addition of Branden (Bree's son) being a Beta werewolf makes the story even better. The characters have a wonderful bond and their relationship is well plotted and thought-out. It definitely has a slow burn that really resonates. Diego makes me happy - he is just such a sweet guy, and Bree definitely suits him.

The plot to this book was so different and complicated (in a good way). I did not see the ending coming. It was just really fascinating. I liked that this was a contained story with a very weird threat and villain. This was definitely a memorable story line. Thanks Paige - this was an awesome book and I am already wanting the next one.

Received as an Arc from Netgalley and Sourcebooks. Thank you.

Wolf Untamed by Paige Tyler is book 11 in the SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team series. This book focuses on Diego and Bree. Diego was a former police officer, who one night after being in a dangerous and life changing situation, finds out he is a werewolf. From there we see him join the SWAT team with his best friend. During a call out, he meets Bree and her newly turned werewolf son, Brandon. From the time of the call, Diego knows that there is something special about Bree and wants to get to know not only her but her son also.

Bree is an Insurance Investigator who went through a rough divorce, has a crazy ex-husband, a son who has been through some hard changes who she is finding it difficult to relate too and to make matters worse, she and her son have been taken hostage. To make the day better, SWAT member Diego comes into her life, wanting to protect her, love her and to help her grow, but sadly danger is lingering around the corner for both of them.

This was a fast and intriguing read. Not only are we reading about what it is like to be a werewolf, from both Diego and Brandon’s point of view, but were also following an intriguing story line where people become infected and do things against their will without remembering anything about it. To add into the twist and turns, Bree’s job as an investigator are also tied in with the random robberies and she seems to unwittingly be in the middle of all of the drama.

We also see the developing relationship between Diego and Bree. It is a slow burn relationship which blazes white hot when both Bree and Diego finally make a move with each other. Their scenes are heart-warming and add into the mix Diego’s relationship with Brandon which is super sweet and even though Diego isn’t Brandon’s father, he definitely gives good fatherly advice and helps Brandon with his transition.

This book is a page turner, it’s fast paced and has a lot of action going on pretty much from the first page. Both Diego and Bree are really likeable characters and you as a reader are invested in their relationship, regardless of what gets thrown their way. This is definitely a must-read book for any paranormal enthusiast out there!

ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊

WOLF UNTAMED is the 11th book in the SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team series and it tells Diego's story. Although I think each book can be read as a stand alone, I believe that reading the previous books would help in understanding more of the world Paige Tyler has built.

After reading the previous books where the author had expanded the world with more supernatural beings, I was a little disappointed not seeing more of that on this one But although Diego and Bree weren't fighting against a supernatural being, they were definitely up against something weird.

This was definitely a fast-paced, action-packed story. Between Diego and his team members getting called intro strange situations and Bree's investigation into insurance fraud coupled with her and Diego's run-ins with her ex-husband, this story never missed a beat. I appreciated the author's effort to keep me engaged and intrigued in the story. Paige Tyler did a great job of putting all elements together so they they generated the most impact and kept being consistent as the story progressed.

I like Bree and Diego together and although it would seem like the romance should have taken a backseat from all the action and suspense, that wasn't the case. The author established Diego and Bree's connection fairly soon and kept developing in every interaction they exchanged. Their chemistry didn't need any help because it was palpable from the start, but the author still made it jumped off the page whenever these two came together (pun not intended!) :-)

All in all, a great addition to the story. I wonder who will get a story next!

This is an exciting installment in the SWAT Series and kept me reading to find out the mystery. As with the other stories, the background is full of danger, intrigue, and mystery. One of my favorite parts of the SWAT Unit is the camaraderie and banter. Even if you read this as a standalone, you can pick up on their closeness and history.

Bree and Diego may have been destined for one another, but their relationship still moved at a believable pace. Thankfully without either of them delving into the “I don’t want a relationship” mode. Neither did it feel like a done deal because of “the one” tract. It was nice and fun to read. I liked them both and they were just a good fit, her son included. Watching Diego learn to be not just a partner, but a father figure and alpha, was heartwarming.

The story was fun and romantic, even though a part of it seemed a bit far-fetched. (Which I know, is an odd thing to say about a paranormal romance.) That strangeness didn’t detract from my enjoyment though, it just has me curious about book 12. I can’t wait.

I found this in a $1 box at goodwill and picked it up because it looked funny, all that to say that I haven't read the previous 10 books.

The story is fun and the romance is cute in places but the writing is heinous. Tyler flips between present and past tense all the time and it's hard to get a distinct voice among a lot of the characters because they functionally talk the same; even the third person narrative talks the same as Diego!

Wolf Untamed is the 11th book in the SWAT series by Paige Tyler. I've become invested in these characters but a new reader will have no problem jumping right in. I love the original storyline the author wrote, a single mom desperate to help her son overcome his issues. Little does she know he has become a werewolf. Diego is perfect for Bree and her son Brandon. They all deserve an HOA. Read this book for their sweet and exciting storyline but also because you will fall in love with the other characters and want to find out what happens next to the SWAT family.

I can't believe we are on book 11 already. I loved this one. Diego great book boyfriend material right there. It was a very interesting story "delirium drug" and how everything worked out, so good. I loved the interaction with a Brandon and Diego it really made Diego more loveable. I liked how once everything was explained Bree just took everything in stride and her relationship with Diego was easy.

I never read books of a series out of order. I picked this up not realizing it was Book #11. But…. It was so good that I couldn’t stop myself. So, now I am starting at Book 1 and will read the books in order, because I can’t wait to learn all of the other characters’ stories! Great book!

When I had finished Wolf Under Fire, I was eagerly awaiting number 11 of the SWAT series, because I really enjoyed the hunky werewolves better than the supernatural beings of STAT.
And yay, number 11 is about Diego, who we already know from the series. Diego always had a protective streak on him (like with Rachel in Wolf Rebel). And then he rescues a young beta werewolf from a robbery gone wild, and Diego realizes that the beta doesn't understand what is happening to him. So he takes the boy under his wing, to show him what is happening. And of course, it doesn't hurt that the mother of the boy is cute as hell.
But Diego is just a sweetheart. You kinda just melt into a puddle of goo, because he is that nice. And the best part: he just doesn't realize he is that great. He feels insecure when Brandon looks up to him as his alpha and he doesn't want to think that Bree may be The One for him.
So, in all a great cute story, with some twists and turns, when we finally start to unravel the strange happenings with seemingly normal people who suddenly go on a rampage. So, thank you Paige, for another hunky SWAT story. Awaiting number 12 in the series and and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc. Five out of five stars from me!

Paranormal Alpha Werewolf SWAT negotiator, What is not to love. It was heart wrenching hearing Diego's story on how he became a werewolf. I had to reach for the Kleenex. Such a great read with twists, turns, love family. We all know pack is about family but this went a little deeper with Diego, Bree and Brandon. Can you imagine being in your teens, your dads in jail and your dreaming of teeth and claws? This really had it all, a psycho, a teenager, a single mom. Murder, theft and what I really loved was the strong, intelligent Bree. She listened, paid attention and made me smile with her whispers to Diego. I love this series. It can be read as a stand alone, but then your just selling yourself short. Indulge, meet the gang, and treat yourself. I like the fact that this book left me second guessing how the ability to control is going to pan out, so ready for the next one. Thank you Paige for your awesome series! Thank you Sourcebooks Casablanca and thank you Net Galley. I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions on this awesome arc of Wolf Untamed. Sign me, I am a groupie :)

Diego and Bree are strong characters. Wolf Untamed has werewolves, love, and that little edge of danger that we love when it comes to the SWAT team. In the Prologue when Diego was shot that was very stressful for me. In a lot of books when something like that happens you spend the book trying to figure out who killed them, but this time it was when Diego's life completely changed. He was opened up to a whole new world.

Diego joins the SWAT team and has become their negotiator and walks into the diner with hostages. Once inside he meets a young newly turned beta werewolf. Diego takes it upon himself to begin teaching Brandon how to control his abilities and introduce him to members of the beta pack. Along the way he realizes that Bree is The One for him, but doesn't want to scare her away with the idea that maybe she doesn't have free will when it comes to their relationship. While they are getting to know each other, Bree's past in the form of her ex-husband, seems to be showing up. Diego is able to help Bree get a restraining order against him.

I enjoyed this book with Diego, Brandon, and Bree and highly recommend it!

Received ARC in exchange for voluntary honest review.

4.5 stars. This is another exciting installment of this series. Love the characters so much and the plot kept me intrigued throughout. In the prologue, we get Diego's story of how he came to be a werewolf and it was so difficult to read. Only because I knew he would be okay (or there would be no book) could I get through it. From that moment on I was hooked! Now he is a negotiator for SWAT and that is how he meets Bree and her son Brandon. I really love their story and it definitely kept me on the edge of my seat! I mean who doesn't like a little danger mixed in with a sweet love story that also includes big strong hunky werewolves?

Thank you to the publisher via Netgalley for this early read.
