हकीकतच इतकी नाट्यमय होती की ती सर्वांच्या मनात आणि ओठांवर वावरत असली तर त्यात नवल नव्हते. त्या कथेला एखादी दुसरी, भयानक, घातकी बाज असू शकेल याची सुरुवातीस कोणालाच कल्पना नव्हती. ती खोली वंशपरंपरागत थोरल्या मुलाच्या वापरासाठी वापरली जात असे.आणि पुढच्या पिढीतली थोरली सून जेव्हा एका रात्री त्या खोलीतून किंचाळत बाहेर आली तेव्हा सर्वांना धक्का बसला. ती फार दिवस जगली नाही, पण तिचे जे काही बोलणे चालले होते त्यामुळे सर्वांच्या मनात नकळत मागच्या पिढीतला तो भयानक प्रसंग उभा राहिला-कारण आपल्या सास-याच्या चित्राकडे बोट दाखवून ती किंचाळत होती “ हाच- हाच सैतान आला होता ! वाचवा ग बाई वाचवा मला या राक्षसापासून !" तिला प्रत्यक्ष काय अनुभव आला होता हे कोणास माहीत नव्हते; पण अशा संदिग्ध पर

Meh!

I liked like 2/3 stories!
Some were dragged out and other ended too quickly to be actually scary!

Maybe if I were to read them at night while there is a thunderstorm going on, I might get some goosebumps ┐( ˘_˘)┌

But won't recommend if one wants horror/thriller scary stories!

Best short stories

These are short stories. Not all are best but they certainly set up a canvas for a bigger story especially 'Pivali Jali'. Title story is very intriguing.

तळघर कथा रात्री वाचताना भीती वाटली.. पिवळी जाळी was straight in the realm of mind-fuck.. Overall a good collection
